논리·비판적 사고 신장을 위한 로봇 프로그래밍의 수학교육 적용 방안 (A study on the application of robotic programming to promote logical and critical thinking in mathematics education)

  • Logic lays the foundation of Mathematics and the development of Mathematics is dependent on critical thinking. So it is important that school mathematics helps students develop their logical and critical thinking ability for both mathematics learning and problem solving in general. MINDSTORMS, a LEGO based programming activity kit, is an effective teaching and learning tool that can be used to enhance logical and critical thinking in students. This study focused on measuring the growth of students' ability to think logically and critically when they used MINDSTORMS activities to learn programming. In addition, we investigated how the students' logical and critical thinking changed from the MINDSTORMS learning experience. The study confirmed that the programming activities using MINDSTORMS help to enhance logical and critical thinking in students. The students attitude about logical and critical thinking became more positive and the activities helped to engage students to think logically and critically. This type of programming activities should be valuable in mathematics education and it should be included in a general mathematics curriculum.

소셜 빅데이터 기반 인공지능 개발윤리 인식 분석 (A Study on the Awareness of Artificial Intelligence Development Ethics based on Social Big Data)

  • Artificial intelligence is a core technology in the era of digital transformation, and as the technology level is advanced and used in various industries, its influence is growing in various fields, including social, ethical and legal issues. Therefore, it is time to raise social awareness on ethics of artificial intelligence as a prevention measure as well as improvement of laws and institutional systems related to artificial intelligence development. In this study, we analyzed unstructured data, typically text, such as online news articles and comments to confirm the degree of social awareness on ethics of artificial intelligence development. The analysis showed that the public intended to concentrate on specific issues such as "Human," "Robot," and "President" in 2018 to 2019, while the public has been interested in the use of personal information and gender conflics in 2020 to 2021.

Repair of tendon injury in Taekwondo by nanobiotics

  • In the present study, capability of nanobiotics in repairing tendon injuries commonly occur in Taekwondo sport is investigated and some approaches are proposed. In this regard, a brief review on the types and application of nanobiotics is presented. Their capabilities and limitation are discussed. Next, different type of tendon injuries in Taekwondo athletes are discussed along with their treatment approaches. Based on the presented data, a nano-scale feasible robot model carrying nanobiotics is proposed for repairing tendons. Finite element simulations is also conducted to show the effectiveness of the repairing process using nanorobots equipped with nanobiotics. This repairing procedure is a combination of mechanical and chemical treatments. The results indicated that using nanobiotics on nanorobots arms in the repair of tendon injuries has many benefits. First, drug delivery is directly injected to the target section. Second, Due to the nanorobots small sizes more acute treatment is possible. Finally, since the control of the nanorobots are assisted with computers, the possibility of human error reduces significantly. The proposed method of the present study could be utilized by other scientists and technological industry in developing final nanorobots with nanobiotics carrying capacity.

최적화된 퍼지로직 기반 이동로봇의 지능주행 알고리즘 (Intelligent Navigation Algorithm for Mobile Robots based on Optimized Fuzzy Logic)

  • 본 논문은 미지 유동환경에서 다중 이동로봇들의 주행문제에 대한 연구결과이다. 여기에서 환경은 로봇에게는 알려져 있지 않기 때문에 로봇의 몸체에 부착된 근접센서들을 이용하여 주변환경들을 감지하여야 하고, 로봇이 충돌 없이 경로를 추적하여 목표지점에 도착하도록 기본 방책들을 조합한 지능주행 방법을 제안하였다. 이러한 대부분 기법들은 퍼지논리 제어기들을 이용하여 구현하였으며, 모든 로봇에 동일하게 적용하였다. 퍼지 제어기의 성능을 향상시키기 위해서 유전 알고리즘을 이용하여 퍼지 제어기의 membership function과 rules set를 진화시켰다. 모의실험 결과 제안한 방법이 주행문제에 긍정적인 결과가 있음이 증명되었다.

  • Flexible tactile sensors, which are primarily used as grippers in robots, are mainly used to handle highly elastic or highly flexible objects. That is, flexible grippers are used when an object cannot be sufficiently controlled by applying a specific output force or taking a specific grabbing action. This is because a flexible tactile sensor needs to measure the pressure applied directly to held objects while deforming according to the shape of the object to be handled. CNT-based sensors used to be made from a highly flexible polymer to give flexibility and it is known that the sensors are greatly affected by the contact resistance of the terminal that connects the sensor to an electrical circuit; therefore, this paper clarifies the contact resistance of MWCNTs-based flexible tactile sensors and terminals. The effects of main and plating materials for terminals are investigated and the combinations of main and plating materials that exhibit contact resistance are measured in a typical industrial environment.

  • This study presents a movable USV (Unmanned Surface Vehicle) based on Micro Controller. Recently, Micro Controller has widely used in application programming such as industry and education application. In particular, Robot is capable of collecting Marine Debris in any sea area is needed so We propose USV used IP camera for automatic driving, distance detection to control movement of USV in order to prevent of collision based on Arduino. Also, Surrounding situation taken by IP camera can be transmitted to monitor and smartphone.

Q&A Chatbot in Arabic Language about Prophet's Biography

  • Chatbots have become very popular in our times and are used in several fields. The emergence of chatbots has created a new way of communicating between human and computer interaction. A Chatbot also called a "Chatter Robot," or conversational agent CA is a software application that mimics human conversations in its natural format, which contains textual material and oral communication with artificial intelligence AI techniques. Generally, there are two types of chatbots rule-based and smart machine-based. Over the years, several chatbots designed in many languages for serving various fields such as medicine, entertainment, and education. Unfortunately, in the Arabic chatbots area, little work has been done. In this paper, we developed a beneficial tool (chatBot) in the Arabic language which contributes to educating people about the Prophet's biography providing them with useful information by using Natural Language Processing.

가상 운전 인터페이스를 활용한 자동차 협력 원격조종 (Shared Vehicle Teleoperation using a Virtual Driving Interface)

  • In direct vehicle teleoperation, a human operator drives a vehicle at a distance through a pair of master and slave device. However, if there is time delay, it is difficult to remotely drive the vehicle due to slow response. In order to address this problem, we introduced a novel methodology of shared vehicle teleoperation using a virtual driving interface. The methodology was developed with four components: 1) virtual driving environment, 2) interface for virtual driving environment, 3) path generator based on virtual driving trajectory, 4) path following controller. Experimental results showed the effectiveness of the proposed approach in simple and cluttered driving environment as well. In the experiments, we compared two sampling methods, fixed sampling time and user defined instant, and finally merged method showed best remote driving performance in term of completion time and number of collision.

  • 최근 4차 산업혁명에 따라 공장, 물류창고, 서비스영역에서 유연한 물류이송을 위한 자율 이동형 모바일 로봇의 사용이 증가하고 있다. 대규모 공장에서는 Simultaneous Localization and Mapping(SLAM)을 수행하기 위하여 많은 수작업이 필요하기 때문에 개선된 모바일 로봇 자율 주행에 대한 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 고정 및 이동 장애물을 피해 최적의 경로로 주행하는 Mapless Navigation에 대한 알고리즘을 제안하고자 한다. Mapless Navigation을 위하여 Deep Q Network(DQN)을 통해 고정 및 이동 장애물을 회피하도록 학습하였고 두 종류의 장애물 회피에 대하여 각각 정확도 90%, 93%를 얻었다. 또한 DQN은 많은 학습 시간을 필요로 하는데 이를 단축하기 위한 목표의 크기 변화 알고리즘을 제안하고 이를 시뮬레이션을 통하여 단축된 학습시간과 장애물 회피 성능을 확인하였다.

초등학생 대상의 인공지능교육을 위한 스마트팜 활용 융합교육 프로그램 (Convergence Education Program Using Smart Farm for Artificial Intelligence Education of Elementary School Students)

  • 이 연구는 초등학생들이 인공지능 학습원리에 대해 직관적으로 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 입력 데이터(온도, 습도 등)와 출력 데이터(채소, 과일 등) 모두 생활 속에서 쉽게 접할 수 있는 형태의 스마트팜을 이용한 융합교육 프로그램을 개발하기 위해 수행하였다. 이를 위해 초등학교의 2015 교육과정에 따른 실과교과의 원예·sw·로봇 단원에 대한 내용 분석과 인공지능교육 내용 체계에 관한 선행연구 분석을 통해 스마트팜 적용이 쉬우며 인공지능 학습원리를 쉽게 설명해 줄 수 있는 구성 요소 13개와 성취 기준 16개를 선정하여 4회기(8차시) 분량의 인공지능교육 프로그램과 스마트팜 기능이 들어있는 비닐하우스 교구를 개발하였다. 이 연구에서 개발한 융합교육 프로그램은 추후 초등학생을 대상으로 하는 인공지능교육에 대한 다양한 교수학습자료 개발 시 참고자료로 활용할 수 있다.
