In this study, robot curriculum was developed to fulfill systematic robot education in elementary and middle schools. For literature research, robot curriculum cases in the UK, the US, and Korea were surveyed to choose and organize robot education contents. The robot curriculum developed is categorized into five areas-robot basic course, sensor, structure/motion, control, and problem-solving-and consist of four step-robot experience, robot creation, robot exploration, and robot control. Stepwise learning contents reflected difficulty and sequence to let students experience intensive repetitive activity. This study will lay the foundation for applying systematic robot education to elementary and middle school students. In the future, it is expected to study the development and application of various programs on the basis of the developed robot curriculum.
This study proposes the design method for the robot rotation arm which the end effector that is connected in end of the arm keeps parallel motion even though the robot arm rotates. So far, most robot arm rotates together the end effector when the arm rotates. For this, this study proposes the mechanism that the arm is linked to each 4 parallel link so that rotation is possible by 4 pins, and the rotation arm connects 2 joints of diagonal line direction to a link in each 4 joint for rotation, and designs so that can change length of the link. For verification of design, this study targeted that develop the rotation arm for medical examination that use in ophthalmology. It is important that a medical robot offers comport to patient and design compactly so that medical examination and treatment space may can be defined enough. It is designed so that all drive elements may be positioned on interior of the arm and optimization of design for main parts was carried out in this study for this. The robot arm which is developed in this study manufactured to use by medical phoropter arm, and got good result by an experiment. The robot rotation arm which is proposed in this study is judged to contribute very effectively in case use of a medical robot arm for medical examination and treatment, also the robot arm which the end effector that is connected in the end of the arm needs to keep parallel motion. And, the robot arm which is developed in this study made an application as license.
This study, as a part of integrated human-robot ergonomics, improves the robot motion control on the robot task in the TOES/WCS whose purpose is improving the teaching task constructed in the previous study. First, the updated combined fuzzy process using a new membership function with Weber's law is constructed for the purpose of coordinate reading of the end points in the macro motion control. Second, an algorithm using the geometric analysis is desinged in order to calculate position values and posture values of the robot joints. Third, the MGSLM method is designed to remove unnecessary the robot motion control caused by the GSLM method in the micro motion control. Consequently, proposed methods in this study lessen burdcn of a human of an improvement of the robot motion control and reduce the teaching time of a human operator and inaccuracy of the teaching task, which contribute to the integrated human-robot ergonomics.

This study proposes the compensation method for the mechanical deflection error of a SCARA robot. While most studies on the related subject have dealt with the development of a control algorithm for improvement of robot accuracy, this study presents the control method reflecting the mechanical deflection error which is predicted in advance. The deflection at the end of the gripper of SCARA robot is caused by the self-weights and payloads of Arm 1, Arm 2 and quill. If the deflection is constant even though robot's posture and payload vary, there may not be a big problem on robot accuracy because repetitive accuracy, that is relative accuracy, is more important than absolute accuracy in robot. The deflection in the end of the gripper varies as robot's posture and payload change. That's why the moments $M_x$, $M_y$ and $M_z$ working on every joint of a robot vary with robot's posture and payload size. This study suggests the compensation method which predicts the deflection in advance with the variations in robot's posture and payload using neural network. To do this, I chose the posture of robot and the payloads at random, found the deflections by the FEM analysis, and then on the basis of this data, made compensation possible by predicting deflections in advance successively with the variations in robot's posture and payload through neural network learning.
The purpose of this study is to examine how children perceived the use of intelligent service robots in early childhood education and identifying the characteristics of the interaction between the children concerned and the robots. The subjects of this study were 49 kindergarten students from Girin Kindergarten in Gyeonggi-do. The results of this study suggested that the children personalized the robot and recognized it as their friend, regardless of their ages. In the interactions between the children and the robot, the children engaged in physical contact with the robot and occasionally tried to control its functions. In the child-robot interaction, the children searched their favorite functions and used them repeatedly, but also lost interest in those repeated functions. Regardless of their interest levels, however, the attendance or portfolio organization functions. With regard to the interaction between peers, there were frequent quarrels regarding the use of the robot at first, but these conflicts were resolved by the intervention of peers or teachers, and the children who were familiar with the use of the robot helped their friends; this was viewed as constituting cooperative behavior. Children usually used the robot with their friends. The robot was a medium for children to find new friends. Peer group activities were explored and new friendships were created as a result of the use of the robot.
The purpose of the study of multi-robot system is to realize multi-robot system easy for the control of robot system in case robot is adapted in the complicated environment of task structure. The purpose of the study of multi-robot system is to realize multi-robot system easy for the control of robot system in case robot is adapted in the complicated environment of task structure. To make real time control possible by making effective use of recognized information in this dynamic environment, suitable distribution of tasks should be made in consideration of function and role of each performing robots. In this paper, IHMA (Intelligent Hybrid Modular Architecture) of Intelligent combined control architecture which utilizes the merits of deliberative and reactive controllers will be suggested and its efficiency will be evaluated through the adaptation of control architecture to representative multi-robot system.
This paper is to study the exoskeleton robot for the walking of the elderly and the disabled. We developed and tested an Exoskeletal robot with two axes of freedom for joint motion. The EEG and EMG signals were used to move the joints of the Exoskeletal robot. By analyzing the EMG signal, the control signal was extracted and applied to the robot to facilitate the walking operation of the walking assistance robot. In addition, the brain-computer interface technology is applied to perform the operation of the robot using brain waves, spontaneous electrical activities recorded on the human scalp. These two signals were fused to study the walking recognition method of the supporting robot leg.

The objective of this study is to investigate the optimal arrangement of cameras used for the robot's vision control scheme. The used robot's vision control scheme involves two estimation models, which are the parameter estimation and robot's joint angle estimation models. In order to perform this study, robot's working region is divided into three work spaces such as left, central and right spaces. Also, cameras are positioned on circular arcs with radius of 1.5m, 2.0m and 2.5m. Seven cameras are placed on each circular arc. For the experiment, nine cases of camera arrangement are selected in each robot's work space, and each case uses three cameras. Six parameters are estimated for each camera using the developed parameter estimation model in order to show the suitability of the vision system model in nine cases of each robot's work space. Finally, the robot's joint angles are estimated using the joint angle estimation model according to the arrangement of cameras for robot's point-position control. Thus, the effect of camera arrangement used for the robot's vision control scheme is shown for robot's point-position control experimentally.

Water running animals such as basilisk lizards have an advantage of high-speed movement and high power efficiency on water; so researchers in robotic fields have been interested in the water running locomotion. This paper presents prototype-design and experimental study on the fourand six-legged water running robot. Based on the previously proposed quadruped water running robot, we assemble a hexapedal water running robot. The legs of the water running robot are designed based on four-bar parallel link for repeated motion along to pre-defined path. Stability performance of the quadruped and hexapedal water running robot are investigated by experiments on rolling criterion. As a result, hexapedal robot performs better stability than quadruped robot. Based on the hexapedal robot design, we are planning to optimize the position of legs and operating frequency.
The application of robot to industry is increasing and as a result the study on robot is widely being carried out. In this study, to improve the accuracy of robot motion the method which calibrates initially assumed link parameters is considered. This method calibrates 4N link parameters for N D.O.F. robot with rigid links.
