  • 최근의 로봇에 대한 연구를 살펴보면 인간-로봇 상호작용과 시스템의 통합에 관련된 연구가 증가하고 있음을 알 수 있다. 또한 인식 및 인지에 관련된 요소기술들은 이미 상당한 수준에 올라서 있다. 이를 바탕으로 전 세계적인 로봇연구의 추세는 요소기술들의 통합을 통하여 완전한 개체로서의 로봇을 만들려고 하고 있으며 상업화된 시장으로 끌어내려는 쪽으로 변화하고 있다. 그러나 로봇을 상업화된 시장으로 끌어내기 위한 다양한 연구와 노력에도 불구하고 많은 부분에서 부족한 것이 현실이며, 지금까지 개별적으로 개발된 각 요소기술의 통합 또한 필수적이다. 특히 인간과 비슷한 인지능력의 확보를 위한 불확실성 극복능력과 개별적인 요소기술의 성능에만 의지하지 않는 인식능력의 확보는 서비스로봇의 신뢰성 향상을 위하여 필수적이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해서 행위적 인지 개념을 제안하였으며 Cognitive Robotic Engine을 통하여 이를 구현하여 상용화된 서비스로봇 플랫폼에 적용하여 실험하였다.

An Art-Robot Expressing Emotion with Color Light and Behavior by Human-Object Interaction

  • The era of the fourth industrial revolution, which will bring about a great wave of change in the 21st century, is the age of super-connection that links humans to humans, objects to objects, and humans to objects. In the smart city and the smart space which are evolving further, emotional engineering is a field of interdisciplinary researches that still attract attention with the development of technology. This paper proposes an emotional object prototype as a possibility of emotional interaction in the relation between human and object. By suggesting emotional objects that produce color changes and movements through the emotional interactions between humans and objects against the current social issue-loneliness of modern people, we have approached the influence of our lives in the relation with objects. It is expected that emotional objects that are approached from the fundamental view will be able to be in our lives as a viable cultural intermediary in our future living space.

  • 본 논문에서는 차량용 알고리즘 테스트를 위한 가상의 가랑비 영상 생성 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 차량용 알고리즘을 테스트 하는 경우 조명 및 기상 환경의 제약조건이 많이 따른다. 때문에 다양한 조명 및 기상환경에서 실험할 수 있는 시뮬레이션 환경이 요구된다. 이를 위해 본 논문에서는 가상의 기상환경 중 가랑비 영상 생성 방법을 제안한다. 구체적으로는 컴퓨터가 생성한 가상영상 대신에 실제 가랑비의 컬러 특성(color property)과 경계값 특성(edge property)을 분석한 결과를 토대로 가상의 가랑비를 생성하였다. 실험을 통해 실제 가랑비 영상과 생성된 가상의 가랑비 영상은 픽셀 값의 분포로 비교한 결과 두 영상이 아주 유사함을 확인하였다.

  • H.264/AVC를 비롯한 대부분의 동영상 압축 표준에 의해 부호화 및 복호화된 영상은 블록화 현상(blocking artifacts)이 생긴다. 이러한 화질 열화 현상은 블록 기반의 정수형 이산코사인 변환(Integer DCT)을 수행한 후 계수를 양자화 하기 때문에 발생한다. 이러한 블록화 현상을 줄이기 위해 H.264/AVC에서는 디블록킹 필터를 이용한다. 본 논문에서는 H.264/AVC의 디블록킹 필터의 복잡도를 감소시키면서 화질을 유지하는 알고리듬을 제안하고 실험을 통한 평가를 제시한다. 복잡도를 줄이기 위해 제안하는 알고리듬에서는 블록 경계강도(Bs) 결정 과정에서 한 화소 줄의 경계강도를 이용하여 네 화소 줄 모두에 적용한다. 실험결과 경계강도 결정의 계산량을 줄이면서 주관적, 객관적 화질 또한 향상되는 결과를 보였다.

  • In today's online social structure, people with electronic devices or network have been closely related to whether any of the activities, work, school, etc., is related to electronic devices, intelligent robot, and network control. The best mobility and the first rich media of these products as smart phones, smart phones rise rapidly in recent years, high speed processing performance and high free way to install software, deeply loved by many business people. However, not only for smart phone business aspects of the use, but also can engage in education of the teachers or the students are learning a great help. This study construct OCR-assisted learning software written by the JAVA made, and the installation is provided by the Android mobile phone users.

  • With the recent revised curriculum, the importance of exploring children's play through new teaching media is increasing in kindergarten. In this study, it is to use the robot 'Bee-bot' for early children to uncover the changes that children have through free exploration and play. As a result of comparing the change of scientific problem-solving ability of 3, 4, and 5-year-olds, there were significant changes in all three sub-elements. We propose to us scientific problem-solving ability test tools, propose and apply ideas for problem-solving, conclusion on problem-solving Building. Through this, it was found that unplugged play using 'Bee-bot' is meaningful as a play environment and as a teaching medium for children aged 3, 4 and 5 years old.

  • Object extraction problem is one of the most important topics in the research area of computer vision, this type of technique can be widely used in practical, such as image processing, robot vision, automatically traffic guide and so on. In this paper, we propose a different way to estimate the background and foreground without any previous training procedure, this approach can be used for automatic object extraction in the future. A simple experiment result shows that our approach has a good potential for the further more practical application.

  • The main goal of e-learning systems is just-in-time knowledge acquisition. Rule-based e-learning systems, however, suffer from the mesa effect and the cold start problem, which both result in low user acceptance. E-learning systems suffer a further drawback in rendering the implementation of a natural interface in humanoids difficult. To address these concerns, even exceptional questions of the learner must be answerable. This paper aims to propose a method that can understand the learner's verbal cues and then intelligently explore additional domains of knowledge based on crowd data sources such as Wikipedia and social media, ultimately allowing for better answers in real-time. A prototype system was implemented using the NAO platform.

  • Recently, necessity and usage of the teleoperation have been increased in various fields from industrial automation to home application. Also, the internet is considered as a strong candidate far the transmission media of signals. However, it has an irregular transmission time delay and causes critical problems such as instability and poor performance. This paper presents a practical internet teleoperation system with a streaming buffer system which makes a variable time delay fixed. Validity of the proposed system is demonstrated by implementing the embedded system on a HILS(hardware in the loop system) which models a two-wheel mobile robot.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out how voice recognition technology can be utilized to solve the elderly problem rapidly aging in Korea. Public support services and civilian nursing services for the elderly are expected to expand in Korea. In this case, voice recognition technology can be used variously for the elderly who are not familiar with the media interface. To this end, our researchers visited Japan and examined the achievements obtained by voice recognition technology in the elderly care. Especially, when caregivers write reports, they have greatly reduced their working hours by replacing the handwritten reports with ones using voice recognition technology. This method can be easily implemented in Korea. In addition, the social cost of the elderly support can be gradually reduced through the development of a robot equipped with voice recognition technology. Consequently, we realize that when voice recognition technology is combined with artificial intelligence programs of various emotion recognition functions and various policy possibilities as well.
