  • The purpose of this study was to develop a school violence prevention program "Modujikimi" for young children to be embedded in IrobiQ, the teacher assistive robot. The themes of this program consisted of basic character education, bullying prevention education and sexual violence prevention education. The activity types included large group, individual and small group activities, free choice activities, and finally parents' education, which included poems, fairy tales, music, art, sharing stories. Finally, the multi modal functions of the robot were employed: image on the screen, TTS (Text To Speech), touch function, recognition of sound and recording system. The robot content was demonstrated to thirty early childhood educators whose acceptability of the content was measured using questionnaires. And also the content was applied to children in daycare center. As a result, majority of them responded positively in acceptability. The results of this study suggest that the further research is needed to improve two-way interactivity of teacher assistive robot.

  • Nuri process is a common process of childcare and education for infants to 5 years old in 2012 has been carried out. In order to operate a paint program, teachers not only easy to take advantage in the field, education robot, taking into account developmental compatibility in accordance with stable, physical stability, age psychological infant, the diversity, education robot that can be worn thinking, creativity, scientific thinking is required. In this paper, I will study the applications and Internet services to infants through your favorite smartphones. To the study of development in the smartphone educational insect robot application with the educational environment that infants are environmentally friendly. Utilizing the game smartphone, Nari proceed to step 15, place the questions and answers for enhancing the education effect on the way, to enhance the creative effect of the robot and education.   • AI-powered robot news is drawing attention as artificial intelligence technology is fully spread in the news distribution field. Robot news still has many technical and ethical problems, but academic research on this is insufficient. This study analyzes the issue of robot writing in artificial intelligent based robot journalism industry using SWOT analysis. As a result, the advantages of big data processes, accurate information gathering, high efficiency and disadvantages such as lack of independent arguments and lack of evidence and opportunities for technical development, government support, academic development, and industrial applications, and threats such as uncritical acceptance and lack of talent have been found. This study suggests three future-oriented directions, such as human-machine collaboration, intelligent news, and chat-bot, through previous studies on the development direction of robot journalism-based article writing.

  • $\textbullet$ An autonomous mobile robot was controlled through the Internet. $\textbullet$ For the direct control, the feedback data should be provided properly. $\textbullet$ Therefore, an efficient communication scheme should be defined. $\textbullet$ To overcome the transmission delay, the highly abstracted message format was used. $\textbullet$ As the feedback data, the real image sequences may suffer the transmission delay or loss of content. $\textbullet$ To resolve this, the feature information was used to construct the synthetic feedback information. $\textbullet$ By doing this, the operator could feel the hands-on control with an Internet-based robot.

Interactive Human Intention Reading by Learning Hierarchical Behavior Knowledge Networks for Human-Robot Interaction

  • For efficient interaction between humans and robots, robots should be able to understand the meaning and intention of human behaviors as well as recognize them. This paper proposes an interactive human intention reading method in which a robot develops its own knowledge about the human intention for an object. A robot needs to understand different human behavior structures for different objects. To this end, this paper proposes a hierarchical behavior knowledge network that consists of behavior nodes and directional edges between them. In addition, a human intention reading algorithm that incorporates reinforcement learning is proposed to interactively learn the hierarchical behavior knowledge networks based on context information and human feedback through human behaviors. The effectiveness of the proposed method is demonstrated through play-based experiments between a human and a virtual teddy bear robot with two virtual objects. Experiments with multiple participants are also conducted.

  • The aim of this thesis is to develop a robot C programming curriculum with the subject of the students in the middle & High School and to prove the effect of the programming on creativity and programming ability. The content of the robot C programming curriculum consists of the introduction, basic knowledge and assembling of the robot (usage of kits and the theory of mechanism); the learning of the robot c programming; the assigned robot making; the original robot making, which is ultimately designed to improve the creative robot programming ability of students. The subjects are divided into two groups(38); one groups(11) taking the course of C++programming and the other(27) taking the robot C programming as well as C++programming. Then each group's improvement of creativity and programming ability is measured in both pretest and posttest. The students taking the robot C programming curriculum gain the product of the assigned robot and the original robot. Besides, it turns out that the curriculum have a meaningful effect in that students acquire the enhanced creativity according to the result of TTCT Creativity Test. Self evaluation also indicates the improvement of C++programming ability.

  • This paper is a study on how to develop service robots can easily complex software development services robot control system. User created contents based on the robot control system developed in this study is a robot drive control circuit, a sensor data processing, the status, the monitoring systems and modular system to configure the service robot operation screen from a user perspective and that can control the service robot operation As in the text-based features that can be operated to have freedom to the robot control service content. In addition, the user has the advantage that changes position by the development as well as user created contents desired by the user operating the robot control GUI (graphic user interface) also changes are possible. As a result, the service robot operator to offer a way to make the service robot can be conveniently presented in a user's point of view how to enable the development of the service robot.

  • It still has some restrictions to collect a specialized information with only the function of existing web robot which collect an enormous of data by circulating through the internet. Therefore, in this paper the functions of the current web robot and its application areas are analyzed and the limitations of collecting a specialized information are found out. Also we define what functions are necessary for a web robot in order to collect a specialized information. Then the designed structure is described. There are two critical functions which are applied to web robot. One is a genre-based categorization that classifies the text by the type, and the other is a content-based categorization by the subject. Most of all, genre-based categorization is used as fundamental feature which enables web robot to collect the aimed documents efficiently.
