국립공원의 양서류 로드킬 현황 (Roadkill of Amphibians in the Korea National Park)

  • 국립공원 내 양서류 로드킬(Roadkill) 현황을 파악하기 위해 2006년부터 2008년까지 3년 동안 24개 노선을 대상으로 조사를 실시하였다. 그 결과 총 2목 5과 9종 1,748개체가 차량에 의해 로드킬 된 것으로 나타났으며, 년차별 비교결과 2006년에 비해 2007년, 2008년에 로드킬이 감소한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 3월부터 6월 사이에 북방산개구리, 두꺼비, 물두꺼비가 집중적 피해를 입은 것으로 나타났으며 "산림-하천" 및 "산림-산림" 환경에서 교통사고가 집중 발생하였고, 덕유산국립공원 국도 37호선, 속리산국립공원 지방도 517호선, 오대산국립공원 국도 6호선, 월악산국립공원 지방도 597호선 등 총4개 노선에서 집중적으로 로드킬이 발생하였다. 따라서 이 지역의 주요 로드킬 대상종이 북방산개구리와 물두꺼비로 확인됨에 따라서 이들 종에 대한 저감대책 수립이 시급한 것으로 판단되었다.

노면 표면거칠기 특성의 대표값 정량화와 타이어 접촉력 해석 기법에 대한 고찰 (Representative Evaluation of Topographical Characteristics of Road Surface for Tire Contact Force Analysis)

  • Most automobile tire companies have not yet considered the geometric information of a road at the design stage of a tire because the topographical characterization of a road surface is very difficult owing to its vastness and randomness. A road surface shows variable surface roughness values according to magnification, and thus, the contact force between the road and tire significantly fluctuates with respect to the scale. In this study, we make an attempt to define a representative value for surface topographical information at multi-scale levels. To represent surface topography, we use a statistical method called power spectral density (PSD). We use the fast Fourier transform (FFT) and PSD to analyze the height profiles of a random surface. The FFT and PSD of a surface help in obtaining a fractal dimension, which is a representative value of surface topography at all length scales. We develop three surfaces with different fractal dimensions. We use finite element analysis (FEA) to observe the contact forces between a tire and the road surfaces with three different fractal dimensions. The results from FEA reveal that an increase in the fractal dimension decreases the contact length between the tire and road surfaces. On the contrary, the average contact force increases. This result indicates that designing and manufacturing a tire considering the fractal dimension of a road makes safe driving possible, owing to the improvement in service life and braking performance of the tire.

  • 최근 급속한 사회발전과 지역간의 인적ㆍ물적 교류의 증가로 교통량이 급증하고 있으며, 이로 인해 기존 도로에 대한 유지 및 관리의 중요성이 크게 대두되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 일반국도를 대상으로 과학적이고 효율적인 도로의 유지, 관리업무를 위한 시범적인 도로종합정보관리 시스템을 구축하는데 목적이 있다. 지형공간정보체계를 이용하여 기존 도로에 대한 도면 및 대장과 조서상의 각종 정보를 수치화 및 데이터베이스화함으로서, 도면의 자동화는 물론 도로 제반 시설물의 검색, 갱신 및 통계분석 기능을 통해 도로의 유지보수 및 관리 업무시 신속하고 정확한 정보를 제공할 수 있도록 하였다.

환경영향평가시 도로교통소음예측에 관한 개선방안 연구 (A Study on the Improvement of the Road Traffic Noise Prediction for Environmental Impact Assessment)

  • Recently the road traffic noise has appeared as a significant environmental issue because of dramatic increase of vehicles and expansion of newly constructed road. Therefore, this study proposes the method that improves prediction factors and models through analysis of the existing road traffic noise prediction model. Prediction factors can be improved by establishing guideline for diffraction attenuation and applying daily traffic discharge, peak traffic discharge, and average traveling speed through an analysis of level service. Prediction must be made by periods of one or five years during 20 years. Prediction models also can be improved to include better prediction model through setting the database, establishing functional relation between physical properties and noise levels by acoustic analysis, and developing models for road traffic noise prediction in residential areas.

칼만필터 기반의 도로표지판 추적을 이용한 차량의 횡방향 위치인식 (Lane Positioning in Highways Based on Road-sign Tracking by Kalman Filter)

  • This paper proposes a method of localization of vehicle especially the horizontal position for the purpose of recognizing the driving lane. Through tracking road signs, the relative position between the vehicle and the sign is calculated and the absolute position is obtained using the known information from the regulation for installation. The proposed method uses Kalman filter for road sign tracking and analyzes the motion using the pinhole camera model. In order to classify the road sign, ORB(Oriented fast and Rotated BRIEF) features from the input image and DB are matched. From the absolute position of the vehicle, the driving lane is recognized. The Experiments are performed on videos from the highway driving and the results shows that the proposed method is able to compensate the common GPS localization errors.

  • Full scale durability test in the laboratory is an essential of any fatigue life evaluation of components or structures of the automotive vehicle. Component testing is particularly important in today's highly competitive industries where the design to reduce weight and production costs must be balanced with the necessity to avoid expensive service failure. Generally, hydraulic road simulator is used to carry out the fatigue test and the vibration test. In this paper, the link unit which is able to realize the 3 element forces such as vertical force, lateral force, and longitudinal force that are applied to the road simulator is designed. Also, the designed link is verified with kinematics and inverse-kinematics. From this results, the designed factor satisfied the maximum stroke so that it satisfied the requirements for 3-axial road simulator.

물류서비스 산업의 국민경제적 파급효과 분석 (A Study on the Ripple Effect of Physical Distribution Service Industry on National Economy)

  • 본 논문의 연구목적은 산업연관표를 이용하여 물류서비스산업의 국민경제적 파급효과를 분석함으로써 물류서비스부문의 정책개선의 자료로 활용하고자 한다. 분석을 위하여 한국은행에서 작성 발표된 산업연관표를 사용하였는데, 1998년, 2000년, 2003년의 산업연관표를 이용하여 분석하였다. 분석결과를 요약하면, 생산유발계수는 철도운송 1757단위, 도로운송 1688단위, 하역 1617단위로 높게 나타나고, 수입유발계수를 보면, 운수보조서비스, 하역, 보관 및 창고, 기타 운수관련서비스 등은 낮게 나타나는 반면 수상운송 0.679단위, 항공운송 0.558단위로 수입유발계수가 높게 나타나고 있다. 다음으로 부가가치유발계수는, 철도운송 0.841단위, 도로운송 0.828단위, 운수보조서비스 0.962단위, 하역 0.939단위, 보관 및 창고 0.938단위, 기타 운수관련서비스 0.942단위로 부가가치유발계수가 높게 나타나고 있다. 감응도계수는 도로운송이 높고, 수상운송과 보관 및 창고업의 감응도계수가 낮다. 그리고 영향력계수는 철도운송, 도로운송이 높고, 반면에 수상운송과 항공운송의 영향력계수가 낮게 나타났다. 물류서비스산업의 취업구조를 살펴보면, 도로운송부문이 74만 4천명으로 가장 많이 종사하고 있으며, 항공운송 1만 9천명, 운수보조서비스업이 2만명으로 물류서비스업에서 종사자가 가장 적은 것으로 나타났다.

COMPUTATIONAL DURABILITY PREDICTION OF BODY STRUCTURES IN PROTOTYPE VEHICLES

  • Durability estimation of a prototype vehicle has traditionally relied heavily on accelerated durability tests using predefined proving grounds or rig tests using a road simulator. By use of those tests, it is very difficult to predict durability failures in actual service environments. This motivated the development of an integrated CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) methodology for the durability estimation of a prototype vehicle in actual service environments. Since expensive computational costs such as computation time and hardware resources are required for a full vehicle simulation in those environments with a very long span of event time, the conventional CAE methodologies have little feasibility. An efficient computational methodology for durability estimations is applied with theoretical developments. The effectiveness of the proposed methodology is shown by the comparison of results of the typical actual service environment such as the city mode with those of the typical accelerated durability test over the Belgian road.

Distributed Optimal Path Generation Based on Delayed Routing in Smart Camera Networks

  • With the rapid development of urban traffic system and fast increasing of vehicle numbers, the traditional centralized ways to generate the source-destination shortest path in terms of travel time(the optimal path) encounter several problems, such as high server pressure, low query efficiency, roads state without in-time updating. With the widespread use of smart cameras in the urban traffic and surveillance system, this paper maps the optimal path finding problem in the dynamic road network to the shortest routing problem in the smart camera networks. The proposed distributed optimal path generation algorithm employs the delay routing and caching mechanism. Real-time route update is also presented to adapt to the dynamic road network. The test result shows that this algorithm has advantages in both query time and query packet numbers.

Habitat use of reintroduced Long-tailed Gorals (Naemorhedus caudatus) in Woraksan (Mt.) National Park in Korea

  • This study aimed to analyze characteristics of the seasonal habitat use of reintroduced Long-tailed Gorals (n=7) in Woraksan (mountain) National Park. We collected 10,721 goral coordinates in Woraksan (mountain) National Park via transmitters, and analyzed habitat use (e.g., aspect, distance from stream and road) from November 2006 to January 2013. Aspect use was southwest (22.6 %), and seasonal aspect use had a southwestern slope (in the spring, summer, and autumn). A northwestern aspect was detected in winter, but slope of $30^{\circ}{\sim}35^{\circ}$ (19.0 %) was used regardless of the season and mean elevation use was 500 m. Moreover, seasonal use was higher in the summer and lower in the winter and spring. The distance from the stream was mainly 50 m in 17.2 %, except in the winter (distance of 300 m), and it was within 50 m in the spring, summer, and autumn. The distance from the road was 100 m in 25.7 %, and seasonal use was within 100 m except for the winter. Thus, we examined significant differences in the habitat use of reintroduced gorals in Woraksan (mountain), and provide elementary data for habitat stabilization of Woraksan (mountain) National Park where goral restoration has advanced.
