북미 법규 강화를 고려한 국내 자동차의 천정강도 시험특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Domestic Vehicle on the Roof Crush Test Considering the Enhanced Safety Standard, FMVSS 216)

  • In order to reduce the risk of roll over crash, one of the greatest risk events, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration(NHTSA) issued Notice of Proposed Rulemaking(NPRM) enhancing the safety standard on roof crush resistance, FMVSS No. 216 and changing some part of the test procedure. According to this NPRM, the boundary Gross Vehicle Weight Rating(GVWR) of the vehicles applied by this standard is extended from 2,722kg(6000 lb) to 4,536 kg(10000 lb) and the applied test force is increased from 1.5 times to 2.5 times of Unloaded Vehicle Weight (UVW). Also the current limit on the amount of roof crush, 127mm(5 inch), is replaced with a new requirement of maintaining enough headroom without touching the head of a seated 50% male dummy. In this paper, we carried out the rollover crash test on some domestic cars and investigated their safety due to the KMVSS No. 92 and the enhanced safety standard, FMVSS No. 216, respectively. The result shows that most of them can satisfy the new standards but further tests will be necessary, especially for heavier cars.

Content Validity of a Korean-Translated Version of a Fullerton Advanced Balance Scale: A Pilot Study

  • The purpose of this study were to translate the Fullerton Advanced Balance (FAB) scale into Korean and to verify the content validity by utilizing a back-translation method with a view to assessing balance function and the risk of falling in a clinical research setting. This research was conducted in six steps. First, three Korean physical therapists translated the FAB scale into Korean. Second, two bilingual professors of physical therapy and a physical therapist evaluated translation conformity of Korean-translated FAB scale. In the third and fourth steps, twelve physical therapists evaluated the degree of translation comprehension, and a translator back-translated the Korean FAB scale into the original language. Fifth, a bilingual professor of physical therapy and two native speakers evaluated the technical and conceptual equivalence between the original and translation versions. In this process, inappropriate translated items were revised using recommended substitute words or sentences, and all items were evaluated on the basis of three points or more on a rating scale in terms of translation comprehension, and the technical and conceptual equivalence of the back-translation. In the sixth and last step, the translation verification committee completed the final Korean version. The above process indicated that the content validity of the Korean-translated FAB scale was established by means of systematic translation methods, and it can therefore be used to assess balance function and the risk of falls in a clinical research setting.

기후변화와 미래 용수공급 안정성을 고려한 한반도 가뭄 위험도 평가 (Evaluation on Drought Risk of the Korean peninsula considering climate change and future water supply stability)

  • 가뭄위험도(Drought Risk)는 위해성(Hazard), 취약성(Vulnerability), 민감도(Sensitivity) 및 적응능력(Adaptive Capacity) 등 여러 가지의 지표를 활용하여 평가가 가능하다. 가용한 자료와 분석기법에 따라서 위해성과 취약성만으로도 평가가 가능하며, 유역내의 가용한 수자원인프라에 의한 적응능력을 포함하여 평가할 수도 있다. 본 연구에서는 미래 가뭄위험도를 평가하기 위하여 기후학적 인자인 가뭄 위해성과 사회 경제적 인자인 취약성 인자 그리고 유역내의 수자원 인프라시설(용수공급 시설)에 의한 적응능력과 관련된 지표를 조합하였다. 특히, 물수요와 공급가능량을 고려한 물수지분석을 통하여 미래 용수공급 안정성을 평가하였으며 다양한 기후변화 시나리오 기반 가뭄 위해성 인자를 Rating 기법을 활용하여 산정하였으며, 취약성의 경우 인구밀도, 농경지 면적 등의 민감도와 적응능력을 동시에 고려할 수 있는 용수 부족량을 시나리오별로 산정하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 도출된 한반도의 미래 가뭄위험도 평가 결과는 유역별 가뭄대책을 수립하기 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

화상환자의 외상후 스트레스 장애 증상에 대한 영향 요인 : 울분, 우울, 삶의 의미 (Factors Influencing Posttraumatic Stress Disorder Symptoms in Burn Injured Patients : Embitterment, Depression and Meaning in Life)

  • Objective : To determine predictors of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) symptoms in burn injured patients and evaluate factors for identifying high risk group of PTSD. Methods : This study examined sixty one patients aged in the range of 19-65 years with burn injuries. All subjects completed self-assessment inventories about PTSD (The PTSD Check List for DSM-5. PCL-5), depression (Patient Health Questionnaire-9, PHQ-9), embitterment (Posttraumatic embitterment disorder self-rating scale, PTED scale) and meaning of life (Meaning in Life Questionnaire, MLQ). Stepwise multiple regression and ROC curve analysis were the tools used for analysis. Results : The results revealed higher depression, embitterment and lower presence of meaning in life predicted severe PTSD symptoms. ROC analysis indicated PTED scale and PHQ-9 were useful for discriminating high risk group of PTSD. Conclusion : The present study established that the need to consider embitterment, depression and meaning of life for alleviation and prevention of PTSD symptoms in burn patients.

방문간호를 통한 일상생활동작 수행능력 개선에 대한 사례보고: 오마하시스템을 활용하여 (Improvement of Activities of Daily Living through Visiting Nursing Care under Long-Term Care Insurance: A Case Report using the OMAHA System)

  • Purpose: This study was done to report nursing case for ADL improvement of elders who have CVA(Cerebrovascular Accident) sequelae. Methods: The client had registered in the C visiting nursing center after being decided a long-term care Grade 2. Data were collected through consultation logs for recipients, Activities of Daily Living (ADL) records, fall risk assessment (Huhn) sheets, decubitus ulcer risk assessment (Braden Scale) sheets, cognition assessment (K-MMSE) sheets, long-term care benefit provision records, and interviews with visiting nurse. Data were collected and analyzed according to the Omaha System problem classification. The intervention scheme and the problem rating scale for performance were applied to present the case for home-visit nursing. Results: The client registered in August, 2018, was provided home-visit nursing care once a week as of September 2020. ADL, cognitive levels and decubitus ulcer risks were found to have improved. Conclusion: This case report presents the value of classifying nursing problems and checking nursing intervention provided to patients with problems of ADL. The presentation of home-visit nursing cases applying a standardized nursing problem classification scheme for clients with various problems showed that a high quality level of care is guaranteed and evidence-based nursing can be provided by visiting nurses.

골절의 약침치료에 대한 임상 연구 동향 (A Review of Domestic and International Clinical Research Trends on Pharmacopuncture Treatment for Fractures)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze trends in domestic and international clinical research studies on pharmacopuncture treatment for fractures. We searched five online databases (PubMed, CNKI, RISS, KISS, and OASIS), and selected a total of 13 clinical research studies from Korea and China. Selected studies were analyzed according to publication year, subject, intervention, treatment method, evaluation scale, adverse event, risk of bias, etc. A total of 10 case studies and 3 randomized controlled trials were included. The study subjects were more often female, and the most common type of fracture was vertebral compression fracture. In Korea, herbal medicine preparations and bee venom were used for pharmacopuncture solution, whereas in China, both herbal medicine preparations and Western medicine preparations were used. All studies commonly used local acupoint needling, and in most cases, the treatment period for case study was less than 1 month, and the observation period of randomized controlled trials was diverse. The most frequently used evaluation scale was numeric rating scale, adverse events were mentioned in only three studies, and no adverse events were reported. Overall risk of bias of all included randomized controlled trials was judged "some concerns". According to this study, pharmacopuncture treatment for fractures was found to be relatively effective and safe, but research that complements the limitations of this study is needed.

화재 시 연소성 물질에 대한 화재 위험성 등급 평가 (Rating Evaluation of Fire Risk for Combustible Materials in Case of Fire)

  • 본 연구는 건자재용 목재 및 플라스틱의 화재위험성 평가에 대하여 새로 고안된 화재성능지수-III (FPI-III), 화재성장지수-III (FGI-III), 화재위험성지수-IV (FRI-IV)를 중심으로 조사하였다. 시험편은 삼나무, 적송, PMMA, PVC를 사용하였다. 화재 특성은 시험편에 대하여 콘칼로리미터(ISO 5660-1) 장비를 이용하여 조사하였다. 연소반응 후 측정된 화재성능지수-III는 PMMA를 기준으로 1.0~15.0으로 나타났다. 화재성능지수-III에 의한 화재위험성은 PVC, 적송, 삼나무, PMMA 순서로 증가하였다. 화재성장지수-III는 PMMA를 기준으로 0.5~3.3으로 나타났다. 화재성장지수-III에 의한 화재위험성은 PVC, PMMA, 적송, 삼나무의 순서로 증가하였다. 모든 시편의 CO 피크농도는 106~570 ppm으로 측정되었다. 결론적으로 체적밀도가 낮은 삼나무와 PMMA와 같이 휘발성 유기물질을 다량 함유한 재료는 화재성능지수-III가 낮고, 화재성장지수-III가 높으므로 화재로 인한 화재위험성이 높은 것으로 이해된다. 이는 화재위험성지수-IV와 일치하였다.

개착식 굴착공사 중 지반함몰 위험등급 분류시트의 등급 보정에 관한 연구 (Correction of the Ground Subsidence Risk Ratings during Open Cut Excavation)

  • 굴착 전 지반조사 결과를 활용한 지반함몰 위험등급 분류는 시공 과정에서 들어나는 인자들에 따라 평가 결과가 다르게 나타날 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 기존 연구에서 제안된 굴착 전 지반조사 결과를 활용한 지반함몰 위험등급 분류 방법을 현장상황을 고려하여 보정하는 방법을 제시하였다. 굴착 진행 중 지하수위는 차수공법의 적용 여부나 시공 상태에 따라 유출되는 정도가 시공 전 예측결과와 다르게 나타난다. 굴착 중 급격한 지하수위 하강은 압밀이나 압축 등의 체적 감소로 지반함몰을 유발하고 집중 호우 등에 의한 수위 상승은 굴착 저면의 히빙이나 보일링을 발생시켜 지반함몰 위험도를 높인다. 굴착 중 흙막이 벽체의 과도한 변위나 지반침하는 지반함몰의 원인이 될 수 있으며, 매설된 관로의 파손을 야기하여 지반함몰 위험도를 높인다. 본 연구에서는 굴착 중 지하수 변동 및 유출상태, 지반변위, 흙의 종류 등을 고려하여 지반함몰 영향인자를 재평가하는 방법을 제안하였다. 최종적으로 지반함몰 평가의 영향인자를 5개 카테고리의 12개 영향인자로 평가할 수 있도록 개선하였다.

성인 인터넷 중독과 일주기 리듬의 연관성 (Relationship Between Internet Addiction and Circadian Rhythm in Adults)

  • 목 적 : 그동안의 인터넷 중독에 대한 연구는 청소년과 초기 성인기만을 대상으로 이루어졌다. 본 연구는 우리나라 성인 연령에서의 인터넷 중독의 위험성을 확인하고, 인터넷 중독이 수면에 미치는 영향에 대해 알아보기 위해 시행되었다. 방 법 : 우리나라 성인인구를 대표할 수 있도록 인구비례 추출을 통해 508명의 대상을 선정하였고, Alcohol Use Disorder Identification Test-Korea (Audit-K), Zung's Self-Rating Depression Scale (SDS), 최근 1년간의 약물 사용, 자살시도를 확인하여 325명을 최종 대상으로 연령, 성별, 거주지 등의 사회인구학적 요인과 함께 Young's Internet Addiction Scale (IAS)와 Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire (MEQ), 주중과 주말의 입면시각, 기상시각 그리고 카페인 음료 섭취 여부 등을 온라인 설문조사를 통해 조사하였다. 결 과 : 인터넷 중독 고위험 군은 총 325명 중 136명(41.8%), 정상사용 군은 189명(58.2%)이었다. 인터넷 중독 고위험 군은 정상사용 군에 비해 통계적으로 유의하게 남성이 많고, 나이가 어릴수록 인터넷 중독 고위험 군에 속하는 비율이 높은 것으로 나타났지만 차이가 통계적으로 유의하지는 않았다. 인터넷 중독 고위험 군은 정상사용 군에 비해 저녁형의 비율이 높았으며, 인터넷을 사용하기 위해 카페인 음료를 섭취하는 비율이 높았다. 결 론 : 본 연구 결과는 성인에서도 인터넷 중독의 고위험 군이 많고, 청소년과 초기 성인기와 유사하게 성인에서도 인터넷 중독과 수면 사이에 의미 있는 연관이 있음을 보여주었다. 향후 인터넷 중독과 아침형-저녁형 간의 인과 관계를 밝히기 위한 종단 연구가 필요하다.

다분류 SVM을 이용한 DEA기반 벤처기업 효율성등급 예측모형 (The Prediction of DEA based Efficiency Rating for Venture Business Using Multi-class SVM)

  • For the last few decades, many studies have tried to explore and unveil venture companies' success factors and unique features in order to identify the sources of such companies' competitive advantages over their rivals. Such venture companies have shown tendency to give high returns for investors generally making the best use of information technology. For this reason, many venture companies are keen on attracting avid investors' attention. Investors generally make their investment decisions by carefully examining the evaluation criteria of the alternatives. To them, credit rating information provided by international rating agencies, such as Standard and Poor's, Moody's and Fitch is crucial source as to such pivotal concerns as companies stability, growth, and risk status. But these types of information are generated only for the companies issuing corporate bonds, not venture companies. Therefore, this study proposes a method for evaluating venture businesses by presenting our recent empirical results using financial data of Korean venture companies listed on KOSDAQ in Korea exchange. In addition, this paper used multi-class SVM for the prediction of DEA-based efficiency rating for venture businesses, which was derived from our proposed method. Our approach sheds light on ways to locate efficient companies generating high level of profits. Above all, in determining effective ways to evaluate a venture firm's efficiency, it is important to understand the major contributing factors of such efficiency. Therefore, this paper is constructed on the basis of following two ideas to classify which companies are more efficient venture companies: i) making DEA based multi-class rating for sample companies and ii) developing multi-class SVM-based efficiency prediction model for classifying all companies. First, the Data Envelopment Analysis(DEA) is a non-parametric multiple input-output efficiency technique that measures the relative efficiency of decision making units(DMUs) using a linear programming based model. It is non-parametric because it requires no assumption on the shape or parameters of the underlying production function. DEA has been already widely applied for evaluating the relative efficiency of DMUs. Recently, a number of DEA based studies have evaluated the efficiency of various types of companies, such as internet companies and venture companies. It has been also applied to corporate credit ratings. In this study we utilized DEA for sorting venture companies by efficiency based ratings. The Support Vector Machine(SVM), on the other hand, is a popular technique for solving data classification problems. In this paper, we employed SVM to classify the efficiency ratings in IT venture companies according to the results of DEA. The SVM method was first developed by Vapnik (1995). As one of many machine learning techniques, SVM is based on a statistical theory. Thus far, the method has shown good performances especially in generalizing capacity in classification tasks, resulting in numerous applications in many areas of business, SVM is basically the algorithm that finds the maximum margin hyperplane, which is the maximum separation between classes. According to this method, support vectors are the closest to the maximum margin hyperplane. If it is impossible to classify, we can use the kernel function. In the case of nonlinear class boundaries, we can transform the inputs into a high-dimensional feature space, This is the original input space and is mapped into a high-dimensional dot-product space. Many studies applied SVM to the prediction of bankruptcy, the forecast a financial time series, and the problem of estimating credit rating, In this study we employed SVM for developing data mining-based efficiency prediction model. We used the Gaussian radial function as a kernel function of SVM. In multi-class SVM, we adopted one-against-one approach between binary classification method and two all-together methods, proposed by Weston and Watkins(1999) and Crammer and Singer(2000), respectively. In this research, we used corporate information of 154 companies listed on KOSDAQ market in Korea exchange. We obtained companies' financial information of 2005 from the KIS(Korea Information Service, Inc.). Using this data, we made multi-class rating with DEA efficiency and built multi-class prediction model based data mining. Among three manners of multi-classification, the hit ratio of the Weston and Watkins method is the best in the test data set. In multi classification problems as efficiency ratings of venture business, it is very useful for investors to know the class with errors, one class difference, when it is difficult to find out the accurate class in the actual market. So we presented accuracy results within 1-class errors, and the Weston and Watkins method showed 85.7% accuracy in our test samples. We conclude that the DEA based multi-class approach in venture business generates more information than the binary classification problem, notwithstanding its efficiency level. We believe this model can help investors in decision making as it provides a reliably tool to evaluate venture companies in the financial domain. For the future research, we perceive the need to enhance such areas as the variable selection process, the parameter selection of kernel function, the generalization, and the sample size of multi-class.
