진화전략을 이용한 Manabe 표준형에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Manabe Standard Form Using the Evolutionary Strategy)

  • The step response of the Manabe standard form[2] has little overshoot and show almost same waveforms regardless of the order of the characteristic polynomials. In some situations it is difficult to control the rise time and settling time simultaneously of the step response of the Manabe standard form To control its rise time and settling time efficiently, We develop the Manabe standard form: We try to find out the SRFS(Slow Rise time & Fast Setting time) form which has the slower rise time and faster settling time than those fo the Manabe standard form. We also consider the other three forms: FRSS(Fast Rise time & Slow Settling time), SRFS(Slow Rise time & Fast Settling time) and SRSS(Slow Rise time & Slow Settling time) forms. In this paper, by using the evolutionary strategy, we obtain all the coefficient of the four forms we mention above. Finally, we design a controller for a given plant so that the overall system has the performance that the rise time is faster, the settling time is faster than those of the Manabe standard form.

  • PID controller is popular but have defect inversing following reference input and noise elimination. Therefor, this paper focus on reducing rise time and robustness against noise. The result that is simulated with feedforward method and sliding mode show that rise time decrease and robustness increase.

  • A triaxial Blumlein pulse forming line has been designed to generate a pulse whose voltage is ~300 kV, pulse duration is ~5 ns, and rise time is ~500 ps. It turns out, however, that the rise time of the pulse becomes much longer than 500 ps due to parasitic inductances and capacitances existing inside the system. A peaking switch has been developed to shorten the rise time of the pulse from Blumlein pulse forming line. In the peaking switch, a wedge-shaped dielectric material (MC 901 nylon) is employed to surround the electrode on the antenna side. This shape inhibits an abrupt change of the output impedance, thereby minimizing the reflection of the output pulse. Experimental results show that the peaking switch is capable of improving the rise time of the pulse at a level of 500 ps.

  • We investigate the effect of rise time of a pulse bias voltage on atmospheric plasma generation. With the faster rise time of the pulse bias, the glow discharge appears to be more uniformly generated along the electrodes. I-V measurement confirms that higher loading power can be obtained using the faster rise time. A new understanding for atmospheric plasma generation at a micro-gap electrode is suggested.

  • It was observed that the time-dependent sheath which was formed around the planar target biased by negatively voltage pulse with a finite rise time in the plasma source ion implantation. F\Results show that the time-dependent sheath consisted of two parts: the ion matrix sheath development during the pulse rise time and the dynamic sheath motion after attaining the full pulse. The ion matrix sheath development which is in proportion to square root of the pulse time and the pulse rise rate over the plasma density but independent of the ion mass. The dynamic sheath propagates with approximately the ion sound speed.

  • 일반적으로 우레탄 주입은 장기 강도와 환경친화적인 측면에서 우수성을 보이고 있다. 하지만 우레탄 공법은 짧은 Rise-time을 가지고 있으므로 주입구에서부터 아주 짧은 침투 반경을 보인다. 그러므로 깊은 지점의 지반개량을 위해서는 우레탄 공법이 사용 될 수 없다. 시멘트와 같은 다른 주입재는 급속한 경화가 필요한 현장에서는 그 대안이 되지 못하였다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해서 우레탄 공법의 단점을 TAS 공법을 통하여 보강하고자 한다. 현장실험을 실시한 결과 TAS 공법은 기존의 우레탄공법을 통하여 침투 주입 할 수 있는 거리보다 훨씬 더 먼 거리의, 10m 주입이 확인되었다. 또한 TAS 공법은 시멘트 그라우팅에 비해 상대적으로 짧은 Rise-time을 보이므로 주입 후 즉각적인 지반보강효과를 확인 할 수 있다. 짧은 Rise-time과 긴 침투주입구간 등의 장점으로 TAS 공법은 터널등에서 그 적용성이 기대된다.

  • Damage to high-rise buildings caused by earthquakes is less frequency due to small distribution of high-rise buildings and low transmissibility of seismic motion to high-rise buildings. However, demand for high-rise buildings is increasing for development of construction technology and efficient land use. In addition, if high-rise buildings are constructed on soft ground such as landfill, transmissibility of seismic motion due to long-periodization of seismic waves is likely to increase. Thus, with development of technology, buildings are required to expand range of seismic design such as safety for long-period seismic waves. Therefore, in this study, dynamic experiments were performed to evaluate response characteristics of high-rise buildings according to period characteristics of seismicwaves and time history analysis was performed to verify them.

반응시간지수(Response Time Index)를 이용한 국내 화재감지기 등급분류에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Classification of Domestic Fire Detector using Response Time Index)

  • This paper presents classification of domestic fire detector using response time index. Response time is measured using fire detector distributed in Korea, and the response time index is estimated. Plunge test prescribed by FM is conducted to measure response time of fire detector. The detector used to test is fixed temperature type(thermistor and bimetal type) and rate of rise temperature type(thermistor and pneumatic type). The nominal operation temperature of fixed temperature type detector is $70^{\circ}C$ and rate of rise temperature is $15^{\circ}C/min$. The fixed temperature type is measured 7 products, and the rate of rise temperature type is measured 5 products. The results show that in case of fixed temperature type(thermistor) is classified "Quick" or "Standard" and fixed temperature type(bimetal) is not classified. The rate of rise temperature type(thermistor) is classified "Fast" or "Ultra Fast" and the rate of rise temperature type(pneumatic) is classified "Very Fast" or "Ultra Fast". The pneumatic type shows more fast response than thermistor type. Also these results indicate the fixed temperature type(bimetal) is not suitable for early stage fire detection.

  • A compact size high voltage pulse generator with nanosecond rise time has been designed and investigated experimentally. The inductance of a pulse generator can be reduced by fixing the Marx generator and pulse forming network components into a single cylindrical unit. As a result, nanosecond rise time about $8{\sim}10[ns]$ and pulse width of several hundred [ns] can be obtained from a modified Marx pulse generator. And parametric studies showed that the rise time of the output pulse was depended little on the change of the load resistance and the charging capacitance while, the pulse width of the output pulse was depended greatly upon the change of the load resistance and the charging capacitance. The theoretical showed the possibility to design the laboratory-size pulse generator very fast rising time and a proper pulse width by minimizing stray inductance and varying resistance and capacitance.
