  • Nowadays managers of fisheries enterprises and users of accounting information have a considerable interest in the fishery right. The fishery right, which is given by administrative quarters, is referred to exclusive fishing right in a certain coastal fishing ground, and it has been one of the property rights since the turn of the century. The main purpose of this study is to provide an improved accounting method of the fishery right from the side of accounting. To achieve this purpose, legal nature of the fishery right should be understood in the first place, for the fishery right, an intangible asset, is a sort of property right guaranteed by the fisheries laws, According to the basic law in the fisheries "Fisheries Law, " the fishery right is broken down largely into three categories; culture fishing right, set fishing right and common fishing right. The legal characteristics of these fishery rights are as followings: 1. The fishery right is a private right. 2. The fishery right is a property right. 3. The fishery right is a right in rem, and legal provisions pertaining to land are applied to the fishery right with necessary modifications. In addition to the above fishery rights, the Fisheries Law provides some provisions on the so-called entrance right, and those who obtained the right are authorized to access to a certain common fishing right fishing ground where they have been traditionally fishing. In the inland fisheries, the fishery right system similar to that of the coastal fisheries discussed above is adopted in conformity with the Inland Fisheries Developing and Expediting Law. Viewing from an angle of accounting, there are two kinds of additional fishing rights which are dealt as assets. These fishery rights dealt as asset include the license of entry in the so-called permitted fishing which is also called as fishery right in plain language, and tile entrance right obtained abroad. Although these two kinds of rights are not the fishery right from a viewpoint of law, they are regarded as fishing rights in accounting which intends to provide a useful economic information.formation.

  • This study speculated on a continuous issue of North Korean defectors and strategies to improve North Korean human rights. North Korean defectors have immigrated to South Korea continuously since the late 1990s. Their immigration was motivated by low financial status in the harsh marching period of North Korea until the mid-1990s. However, the defection motives changed like this: planned defection, family-based group defection and future-oriented defection. The North Korean defectors had had severe human rights abuses as illegal immigrants in the blind spots of human rights of China and the third nations until they were admitted to South Korea after defection. Although South Korea tried to help them consistently both in public and private ways, it was not satisfactory. Therefore, the government and private sectors should pay more consistent attention to the human rights issue. As the National Assembly passed the North Korean Human Rights Act on March 2016, the government should recognize the issue of North Korean defectors as that of universal value and a national issue, and cooperate each other nationally and internationally in diverse ways.

  • Many people are getting more and more interested in the value of information sharing in a supply chain in proportion to the development of information technology in these days. In spite of much interest in the value of shared information, the related studies concluded that the effect of only sharing information strategy between upper and lower level is not large However, many related companies want to link each channel members in the supply chain with on-line to expect to reduce the cost by means of information sharing. This study wants to evaluate the alternative strategy to reduce more related costs than only sharing information strategy. This paper analyzed that how much the total supply chain cost is to change in the case of a transfer of decision rights from the lower (retailers) to the upper level (depot, vendor) in a supply chain. The decision rights mean the rights of being able to decide when to order, how much to order, where to order, and what mode to transport or distribute, etc. in a supply chain. By the experimental simulation study to the simple case, the strategy to share only information took the low effect of 1~2%, but the strategy to transfer the decision lights from the lower to the upper member had larger effect of about 5%. However. for the strategies to work well, it needs to cooperate closely among each supply chain members, and the fruits from the transfer of decision rights in a supply chain are allocated to each chain members reasonably Therefore, there needs to study in the future not only the exact transfer effect of decision rights, but the reasonable allocation method of the fruits among the chain members.

The scale for infant rights consisted of 40 items based on the U.N. convention on the rights of the child and infant care service was measured with 40 items regarding respect of daily life, respect of autonomy, respect of opinion, respect of individualism, and provision of information. The study participants were 489 nursing teachers working at child care centers. According to the nursing teachers' perception of infant rights, the right of survival was highest, followed by the right of protection, the right of development, and the right of participation. The main study results showed that the rights of development and participation were meaningful in predicting various infant care services, but the right of survival was not. This study implies that the difference of nursing teachers' perception on the various types of different infant rights can affect various infant care services.

  • The World Association for Sexology (WAS) will adopt a Declaration of Sexual Rights as basic and fundamental human rights August this year in Hong Kong. Two years ago WAS has been developing a Declaration of Sexual Rights in order to further promote sexual health and protect the sexual rights of everyone. Undoubtedly sexuality is one of the most intriguing subjects in the area of human behavior and psychology, and has been so since antiquity. The influence of sexual factors of human on all aspects of the society has been immense. The varieties of marriage, from traditional to the open marriage model are presented in front of our sight. The influences of women's movement in Korea, which has produced sexual, psychological, economic, political, familial and social changes look so small and the changes are not that much in America. But the profound effects of the women's movement affect on Korean society being realized as man's view of woman and woman's view of herself undergo constant change and reevaluation. With increased sexual awareness on the part of the public owing to mass media, for example AH-U-SEONG aired in TV and with increased emphasis on sexual matters in daily life, more and more physicians are being asked to deal with and manage sex-related problems in their daily practice. Yet, despite the obvious need for informed sexual counseling, doctors are often uncomfortable about sexual matters and many physicians have no special expertise in this area. So physicians concerned in sexology especially such as gynecologists, urologists, psychiatrists and endocrinologists must realize well about sex-related knowledge which is needed for counseling the patient as medical consumer and gap between reality and ideality in sexual diagnosis and treatment. Establishment of management system for the people who have sexual problems is strongly needed to promote sexual health and protect the sexual rights of everyone and for the Sexual Rights as basic and fundamental human rights.

  • Under the influence of growing popularity of "hallyu" (Korean wave), corporates that have copyrights such as music, movie, drama as their core competitiveness are showing continuing growth. In Addition, they built on contents are rapidly growing, interests in protection and management of intellectual property rights linked to contents are growing. Global contents development corporates are making great efforts to create profits out of copyrights. They could utilize original contents to strengthen brand value use it to produce additional contents in current market. Also they take advantage of existing storyline of the contents and strong brand to explore new markets. This paper looks into Value articulation model by Professor James Conley and analyzed the firms that utilized intellectual property rights to extend the period of protection, strengthen their competitiveness and succeeded in breaking into new market by using the rights they possess. Also, this paper examines the usage of intellectual property rights and business expansion strategy of of Iconix, the Korean entertainment company, which gained tremendous popularity in last ten years using this model. In Value articulation model, Conley classifies the process of exploiting the portfolio of the single product's(or service's) intellectual property right for a period of time into three stages ; value transference, value translation, value transportation. Pororo's strategy of utilizing intellectual property right is suggestive to domestic entertainment companies. Under the influence of hallyu" (Korean wave), domestic contents such as movies, dramas and music are enjoying the high level of popularity recently not to mention animations. In reality, Korean entertainment companies who have no background or experience of Intellectual property rights are not creating enough added values compared to fast growing market. It is believed Iconix's intellectual property rights management strategy will suggest positive aspects to domestic companies. Moreover, I hope various intellectual property rights management strategies including Conley's value articulation are studied and they can make contributions to managing domestic entertainment companies.
