IT 분야 학술지의 연구 생산성 및 심사 효율성 분석 (The Analyses of Research Productivity and Review Efficiency for IT Related Journal)

  • Interests on collaborative research and academic relationship among researchers have been increased. Collaborative researchers can maximize productivity, time and cost savings, and reduce the risk of research. An empirical study on the research productivity of co-authors' network and review efficiency of the reviewer network was conducted based on co-author networks and reviewer networks in Korea Society of IT Service. This study aims to find the characteristics of the co-author and reviewer networks, and to analyze research productivity and review efficiency in order to draw some implications. The meaning of interactions among professional groups was analyzed. Research productivity index was calculated using 728 authors' papers submitted to the society. In order to verify the effects of indicators of social network analysis on research productivity and review efficiency, correlation and regression analyses were used. As a result, the indicators of network centrality did not affect the review efficiency, but affect the research productivity.

  • 학술 분야의 연구자들의 협업을 기반으로 한 공동연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 이에 따라 공동연구 및 연구자 간 학문적 관계에 대한 관심 또한 증대되고 있다. 공동연구를 통해 연구자들은 연구 생산성 증대, 비용 및 시간의 효율적 사용, 그리고 연구의 위험요소를 감소시켜 연구 성과와 생산성을 극대화하고 있다. 본 연구는 ISR에 2006년부터 2012년까지 투고된 논문의 저자 및 심사자 데이터를 기반으로 연구 생산성 및 심사 효율성 분석을 실시하였다. 투고된 논문 230편을 대상으로 소셜 네트워크 분석 기법인 중심성 분석과 하위그룹 분석을 실시하였고, 상관분석과 회귀분석을 통해 연구의 타당성을 검토하였다. 연구의 결과는 공저자 집단의 연구 생산성이 향상되는 것을 확인하였으며, ISR의 논문 심사자의 효율성도 소셜 네트워크 분석 지표들을 통해 검증할 수 있었다.

전문가 그룹의 소셜 네트워크 분석: 국내 학술지 공저자 및 심사자 네트워크를 중심으로 (Social Network Analysis of Professional Groups based on Co-author and Review Networks)

  • Many studies have been studied in the Information Technology (IT) area such as Information Systems, Business, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Data Analytics and so on. Although various fields for IT exist, searching experts and reviewers in IT journals are subjective. The related journals have made efforts to assign experts for the qualified review. This study conducted developing the framework for understanding and evaluating the experts among co-authors and reviewers through social network analysis. To explore the findings, we collected data of the co-authored network and the reviewer network of the Korea Society of IT Services Journal. Totally, 545 authors for submissions and 314 co-authors were used for analyzing the co-authored network. To analyze the network, we divided two networks as a network for 545 papers and a network of 316 papers excluded 229 single authored-papers. In the findings, we found out various researchers published their papers with collaborations. Also, authors who have high scores of centrality can be said as experts for specific fields. In addition, we analyzed 358 data of reviewers from 2005 to 2011. About 50 reviewers have reviewed the submitted papers based on their expertise since 2005. Peculiarly, the expertise and the qualified review in Korea Society of IT Services Journal were identified in that almost reviewers do not review various papers at a time based on low degree measures and network density.

  • 심사자 자동추천시스템은 심사 대상에 대한 포괄성, 전문성, 공정성, 타당성을 확보할 수 있도록 설계되어야 한다. 이를 위해 본 연구는 다면적인 학문분야분류표의 각 범주 간 연관성을 자동으로 산출할 수 있는 확률적 온톨로지를 적용하여 포괄적으로 심사자 추천 범위를 넓히고 전문성을 반영한 심사자 랭킹을 가능하도록 한다. 또한 연구자 간의 멘터, 공저역, 공동연구를 포함하는 연구자 네트워크를 구축하고 이를 심사자 배제 규칙으로 활용함으로써 공정한 심사자 추천이 이루어질 수 있도록 한다. 아울러, 전문가들을 통해 상기 방법론과 패널 결과를 검증 받아 타당성 있는 시스템이 갖추어야 할 방향을 제시한다.

Looking Back over a Decade "Final Decision Call after the Accidents of the Fukushima Nuclear Power Plant"

  • The author Nakajima was involved in the field of disaster communications and emergency medical care as guest research scientist at the Fukushima Nuclear Accident Independent Investigation Commission established by the National Diet of Japan and reviewer of the Commission's report, and Kurokawa was the chairman of this Commission. Looking back over a decade, we are on the liability issue of bureaucrats and telecom operators, so it's becoming clear what was hidden at the time. The battery of NTT DoCoMo's mobile phone repeaters had a capacity of only about 24 hours, and communication failures increased after one day. The Government also failed to issue an announcement of "Vent from reactor" under the Telecommunications Act Article No. 129. This mistake lost the opportunity to use the third-party telecommunications (e.g. taxi radios). Furthermore, as a result of LASCOM (telecommunications satellite network for local governments via GEO) and a variety of unexpected communication failures, the evacuation order "Escape!" could not be notified to the general public well. As a result, the general public was exposed to unnecessary radiation exposure. Such bureaucratic slow action in emergencies is common in the response to the 2020 coronavirus.

SNS 소셜 빅데이터를 통한 아웃도어 의류 소비자 특성과 주요 아웃도어 의류 브랜드 현황 분석 (Analysis of Outdoor Wear Consumer Characteristics and Leading Outdoor Wear Brands Using SNS Social Big Data)

  • Consumers have come to demand high quality, affordable prices, and innovative product designs of the outdoor wear market due to their well-being and leisure oriented lifestyle. A new system of business in outdoor wear has emerged in the process through which corporations have endeavored to satisfy such consumer needs. Outdoor wear brands have utilized social network services (SNS) such as Facebook and Twitter as means of marketing and have built close relations with consumers based on communication through these media. Recently, explosively escalating SNS data are referred to as social big data, and now that every consumer online is a commentator, reviewer, and publisher, the outdoor wear market and all of its brands have to stop talking and start listening to how they are perceived. Therefore, this study employs Social $Metrics^{TM}$, a social big data analysis solution by Daumsoft, Inc., to verify changes in the allusions related to outdoor wear market found on SNS. This study aims to identify changes in consumer perceptions of outdoor wear based on changes in outdoor wear search words and trends in positive and negative public opinion found in SNS social big data. In addition, products of interest, the major brands mentioned, the attributes taken into consideration during purchases of products, and consumers' psychology were categorized and analyzed by means of keywords related to outdoor wear brands found on SNS. The results of this study will provide fundamental resources for outdoor wear brands' market entry and brand strategy implementation in the future.

Ensuring the Quality of Higher Education in the United Kingdom Using Informatization

  • The United Kingdom is known for the quality of its qualifications. There is a strict quality system with reputable bodies responsible for ensuring that high quality standards are met. In order for new qualifications to be accredited, they must meet all the requirements set out in the regulations for the quality and informatization of Education. The crucial role of the Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education (QAA) in the UK for creating high-quality management of higher education institutions is revealed, the influence of informatization tools on its effective mechanism as an independent entity is shown, and positive experience for the educational sector is highlighted. While the universities themselves are responsible for reviewing educational programs at the subject level, the QAA review focuses on verifying internal quality assurance, as well as systems and improvement strategies. The QAA uses a peer review process in which teams mostly consist of academic staff from other institutions to assess the quality of the institution's education. In Scotland, the team also includes an international reviewer. The student is also a member of the Scottish teams. In the UK, attention is paid to providing a cohort of experienced reviewers who can conduct high-quality monitoring and help with advice on improving education. All reviewers must complete training and have permission to participate in the review of educational programs. There are selected committees that are members of the QAA council, each of which is headed by a member of the Council or an independent person approved by the Council. Attention is drawn to the main areas of the QAA's work in the framework of environmental, social and corporate governance.

오피니언 마이닝과 네트워크 분석을 활용한 상품 커뮤니티 분석: 영화 흥행성과 예측 사례 (Product Community Analysis Using Opinion Mining and Network Analysis: Movie Performance Prediction Case)

  • 구전(WOM: Word of Mouth)는 주변 사람들에게 상품에 대한 경험을 입에서 입으로 전달하는 현상을 말하며 소셜 미디어의 발전으로 온라인 구전(eWOM: Electronic Word of Mouth) 형태로 발전하였다. 구전 효과의 중요성으로 인해서 대부분의 기업들의 자사의 상품이나 서비스에 대한 온라인 구전에 촉각을 세우고 있으며, 특히 영화와 같은 경험재의 경우에는 그 영향력이 더욱 크다. 본 연구에서는 영화 커뮤니티에 대한 사회 네트워크 분석을 통해서 영화 흥행성과 지표인 매출에 미치는 영향요인을 규명하고자 한다. 영화 흥행성과 연구들에서 주요하게 다루어진 영화에 대한 구전의 크기(volume)와 방향성(valence)과 같은 구전 요인들을 추가하여, 구전 네트워크의 중심성 척도를 영향 요인에 고려하였다. 구전의 크기, 방향성, 그리고 3가지 중심성 척도(연결 중심성, 매개 중심성, 근접 중심성)의 최종 영화 매출에 영향 관계를 가설로 설정하였다. 제시한 연구 모형을 검증하기 위하여 대표적인 온라인 영화 커뮤니티 사이트인 IMDb(Internet Movie Database)에서 영화 구전 데이터를 수집하였고, Box-Office-Mojo사이트에서 영화 매출 데이터를 수집하였다. 2012년 9월부터 1년 동안, 주간 Top-10에 포함된 적이 있는 영화들을 대상으로 하였으며, 총 103개의 영화가 선정되어 이 영화들에 대한 메타 데이터와 커뮤니티 데이터가 수집되었다. 영화 커뮤니티 네트워크는 평가자들간의 댓글 관계를 기초로 구축하였다. 본 연구에서 사용한 3가지 중심성 척도는 사회 네트워크 분석 도구인 NodeXL을 사용하여 계산되었으며, 각 영화별 커뮤니티 참여자들의 중심성 척도의 평균값을 활용하였다. 가설 검증의 사전 분석을 위한 상관관계 분석에서는 3가지 중심성 척도간에 상관 관계가 높은 것으로 파악되어서, 각각에 대하여 별도로 회귀분석을 수행하였다. 분석 결과, 기존 연구와 일관성 있게 구전의 크기와 방향성은 영화 성과지표인 최종 매출에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 파악되었다. 또한 구전 네트워크 내의 참여자 매개중심성 평균은 영화의 최종 매출에 영향을 미치는 것으로 파악되었다. 하지만 연결중심성과 근접중심성은 최종 매출에 영향을 주지 못하는 것으로 나타났다.
