We present the cytologic features of small ceil neuroendocrine carcinoma of the liver metastasized from the uterine cervix. Cytologically, tumor cells were arranged in a pattern of solid sheet in necrotic background. The tumor cells were characterized by uniform, small cells, round hyperchromatic nuclei, and high nuclear cytoplasmic ratio. The smears showed frequent mitotic figures and rosette formation. These findings were identified with the previous histologic sections of uterine cervix. To make a diagnosis of metastatic small ceil neuroendocrine carcinoma on the Papanicolaou smear, a high index of suspicion and careful review of clinical history are needed.

Fine needle aspiration cytologic findings in 14 cases of gynecomastia are described. General cytomorphologic features resemble those of fibrocystic disease in women than those of fibroadenoma. Among the cytologic parameters, three-dimensional structure of epithelial cell clusters, presence of micronucleoli and irregularities of nuclear size and shape are suggestive of epithelial proliferative activity. In audition, 4 cases are proliferative breast disease without atypia and 10 cases are nonproliferative breast disease depending on cytologic criteria grading system.

Traumatic scapulothoracic dissocation is a rare upper extremity injury caused by massive traction or blunt trauma. Most cases are associated with a large spectrum of concomitant injuries, including severe musculoskeletal injuries and neurovascular injuries around the shoulder. But, it occurs without damaging overlying skin as a closed injury rather than an open injury. We present a case of open scapulothoracic dissociation and describe clinical features with literature review.

Hyalinizing trabecular tumor (HTT) of the thyroid gland is a rare neoplasm and only less than 100 cases have been reported so far. It is characterized by hyalinizing stroma with trabecular growth pattern and has an indolent clinical course. Because of its histologic features, it is frequently misdiagnosed as papillary or medullary carcinoma in fine needle aspiration cytologic findings. The tumor is benign or low malignant potential and thyroid lobectomy is recommended for adequate treatment. We recently experienced a case of thyroidal HTT in a 57-year-old man, who presented with a right thyroid nodule that was suspicious of papillary carcinoma in aspiration cytology. We report the unique and rare disease entity with brief literature review.

The contemporary buildings are becoming super-taller gradually as the industry evolves. Accordingly, winter concrete also became an important element for the year-round construction since shortening of a construction duration became important. Accordingly, this research team once developed a double bubble sheet as concrete cover curing compound during winter. But since there is no proper countermeasure for the exposed reinforcement bars, it is worried that the concrete can be damaged by exposed frozen reinforcement bars at a low temperature during the initial period. Therefore, in this study, it is intended to review the temperature history of the reinforcement bars depending on changes of the covering methods of the exposed reinforcement bars by using bubble sheets.

Recently, there have been various attempts for the adoption and spread of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in the construction industry. However, the spread of BIM has been less satisfied than expected, because of the insufficient, expensive hardware and software for the authoring, analysis and so forth. As a solution to resolve the obstacles, the applications of cloud computing technology to BIM have been introduced. Due to the vendor-dependent functions and lack of verification on the work process, the spread of cloud-based BIM has been limited in Korea. Therefore, this study proposes the functions of cloud computing services which can support BIM-based design processes through the review of practitioners, questionnaire survey and analysis of design process.

The Warthin tumor is a benign neoplasm that occurs mostly in the parotid gland. The tumor frequently occurs in the tail of the parotid gland. A 75-year-old man was referred to Wonkwang dental hospital with a chief complaint of swelling on the right submandibular area. Numerous salivary stones were observed in the right submandibular gland on computed tomography (CT). And the two tumorous lesions were incidentally found in the parotid gland bilaterally. The tumorous lesions showed homogeneous enhancement on the CT and intermediate signal intensity on both T1- and T2-weighted magnetic resonance (MR) images. This tumorous lesions also showed contrast enhancement on fat suppressed T1 weighted MR images. We report common CT and MR features of this case of Warthin tumor in the parotid gland with literature review.

Diagnosing Hirschprungs disease (HD) is a clinical challenge to pediatric surgeons. The cardinal symptoms are failure of passage of meconium within first 24 hours of life, abdominal distension, and vomiting. The severity of these symptoms and the degree of consitpation vary considerably between patients. HD is suspected on the basis of history and clinical findings and the diagnosis is established by radiological examination, anorectal manometry, and histochemical analysis of biopsy specimens. In this review, the advantages and pitfalls of each diagnostic modality are discussed. And a diagnostic approach utilizing these diagnostic modalities in children with suspicious HD is presented.

Stress fractures of the acromion and scapular spine are well-known complications following reverse total shoulder arthroplasty. However, these fractures in patients with massive rotator cuff tear or cuff tear arthropathy are extremely rare, and the pathogenesis, clinical features, diagnosis, and treatment of these fractures are poorly understood. We report a case of bilateral stress fracture of the posterior angle of the acromion in a patient with massive rotator cuff tear and discuss the pathogenesis, clinical manifestation, and treatment with a review of the literature.

Utilizing pump selection softwares is becoming a new general trend in pump industries, substituting the old fashioned pump catalogs. One of the most powerful pump selection softwares is developed, which features pump performance viscosity correction function as well as pump selection based on the exact pump performance curves, NPSH warning, automatic determination of impeller diameter cutting to meet the customer's performance specification, performance simulation for the rpm and diameter variation, standard motor recommendation according to the motor standards and enclosure types and automatic pump datasheet generation for sales submission, automatic pump drawings and dimension generation for installation check and part preparation. This software provides pump distributors and customers with a quick, easy and exact pump selection, various performance curves review (system curves, performance curve of series or parallel operation) of the selected pumps.
