수산물의 유통단계별 가격간 장기균형관계와 인과성 분석 -부산지역의 갈치, 오징어를 중심으로- (A Study on the Long-run Equilibrium Relationship and Causality between the Prices of Fisheries Products at Different Levels of Distribution -Focused on Hairtail and Squid in Pusan-)

  • Fisheries products in Korea generally go through three markets, namely the wholesale market at production site (Market A), the wholesale market at consumption site (Market B), and the retail market (Market C), from producers to end consumers. As the products move from Market A through Market B to Market C, the marginal gap of prices asked in these markets demonstrates an apparent relationship. The producers, middlemen, consumers, and governmental departments concerned may influence the marketing prices of fisheries products. This study employing the cointegration theory tries to investigate whether causality of the price-setting among these markets exists and, if any, what it is. The authors have focused their attention on fisheries markets in Pusan, analyzing the long-run equilibrium relationship and causality between the prices of hairtail and squid among markets at different levels. Data used in this study cover the period f개m August 1984 to December 1997 fer hairtail, and the period from May 1989 to December 1997 for squid. The main findings of the study may be summarized as follows: First, regardless of the price time-series of hairtail and squid in individual market, the first difference is necessary fur satisfying the stationary conditions since each time-series is a first integration. This means homogeneous integration of time-series, which is a requirement of the long-run equilibrium of prices at different markets, is satisfied. Second, the study of the long-run equilibrium relationship between the prices at Market A and Market B shows that a long-run equilibrium relationship does exist for selling prices of the two species at Market A and Market B. Third, the ECM (error correction model ) used here to describe the long- and short-run dynamics of price change demonstrates that, in the case of squid, the price change in Market A will lead to a corresponding price change in Market B in the long-run period. In the short-run, however, the price at Market H is not only influenced by the price change in Market A but influence the price at Market A as well, that is, the Prices between Market A and Market B have a feedback effect. It should be stressed that the limitation in data collection, which cover only two species of hairtail and squid, is likely to cause a sampling bias. Nonetheless, we may conclude that a dynamic relation in the formation of prices does exist in view of the transaction amount of species at different markets. It is believed that the conclusion drawn from this study would not only contribute to a long-lasted debate on the direction of causality of price-setting among academic circle and fishing community, but would provide a useful standard for the policy makers in charge of the price-setting of fisheries products as well.

교육서비스 품질이 지원 사업 충성도와 경영성과에 미치는 영향 : 사업체 형태를 중심으로 (Quality of Retailer Education Program and its Effect on Loyalty and Business Performance)

  • 2009년부터 시작된 소상공인 조직화 지원 사업은 2013년 들어 소상공인 협업화 지원 사업으로 변하면서 정책적 위치를 확립해 나가고 있다. 이 지원 사업은 크게 두 가지 측면을 지원하고 있는데, 하나는 유통의 효율화를 위해 소상공인들을 조직화 하여 규모의 경제 측면을 강화시키는 것이고, 다른 측면은 방문교육을 통하여 경영을 개선하고 효율성을 제고하는 것이다. 본 연구에서는 소상공인 조직화 지원 사업의 두 가지 측면 중 방문교육의 영향에 대해서 연구한다. 세부적으로는 사업체 형태를 체인형 소상공인과 조합형 소상공인으로 나눠 방문지도 교육의 품질이 경영성과 및 지원 사업의 충성도에 주는 영향을 실증적으로 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 지원 사업의 충성도에는 방문지도 교육의 품질이 사업체 형태에 상관없이 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 분석되었다. 그러나 경영성과에는 조합형 소상공인의 사업장에서만 방문지도교육의 품질이 유의한 영향을 주는 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 소규모 점포 조직화 지원 사업에 대한 충성도를 높여 계속적으로 지원 사업을 받게 하기 위해서는 방문지도교육의 품질을 높여야 하며, 소상공인들의 경영성과를 높이기 위해서는 사업체 형태를 고려해야 함을 시사하고 있다.

국내 바이오에탄올에 대한 비선형적 선호에 관한 연구 (Non-linear Preferences on Bioethanol in South Korea)

  • 최근 우리나라에서도 바이오에탄올 혼합을 의무화하는 제도 도입을 준비하고 있다. 바이오에탄올은 기후변화에 대응하기위한 수단일 뿐만 아니라 에너지 안보 측면에서 휘발유에 대한 유력한 대체연료이다. 그러나 일반 휘발유보다 판매가격이 더 높은 바이오에탄올 혼합 휘발유를 유통시키기 위해서는 정부 지원이 선행되어야 한다. 따라서 바이오에탄올 소비로 인한 편익이 비용보다 높다면 정부 지원의 정당성이 확보될 수 있을 것이다. 본 연구는 전국의 휘발유 자동차 운전자를 대상으로 바이오에탄올 선호도를 조사하였다. 패널로짓모형을 이용하여 3~10% 바이오에탄올 혼합 휘발유에 대한 속성을 분석한 결과 국산원료를 이용한 에탄올 지불용의액이 리터당 52원으로 나타났다. 한편 바이오에탄올 혼합률이 증가할수록 역 U자형의 비선형 선호도를 갖는 것으로 추정되었고, 전환점에서 바이오에탄올 혼합률은 6.5%로 나타났다. 또한 소득수준과 바이오에탄올 선호간에도 역 U자형의 관계가 나타났고, 전환점 소득 구간이 250~299만 원인 것으로 나타났다. 한편 정치적으로 보수 성향일수록 바이오에탄올혼합유를 선호하고, 바이오에탄올에 대한 사전 지식이 있거나 환경보전에 대한 중요성이 높을수록 바이오에탄올혼합유 이용에 비판적인 것으로 나타났다. 다만 본 연구는 휘발유에 바이오에탄올의 혼유를 의무화하는 정책에 대한 소비자의 지불용의액을 실증분석하고자 하였지만, 우리나라에서 법제화된 RFS 제도에 직접적으로 부합하게 설문이 설계되지 않았고, 바이오에탄올의 원료조달, 제조, 의무혼합비율, 가격인상액 간에 직교관계를 가정했다는 한계가 존재한다. 또한 모형추정결과가 확정적이지 않다는 점에서, 위 결과를 우리나라에서 법제화된 RFS 제도에 그대로 적용하는 데는 주의를 요한다.

환동해지역 거점도시에서의 시장성장과 경쟁 및 유통구조: 후쿠오카, 울산 및 옌지의 시장을 중심으로 (Market Growth, Competition, and Distribution Structure in Major Cities of the East Sea Rim)

  • Purpose - This is a comparative study of the market development and characteristics of Ulsan in South Korea, Fukuoka in Japan, and Yanji in China, which are major East Sea Rim cities with adjacent areas of similar natural characteristics of the sea and the country. Particularly, it considers these aspects while focusing on the evolution of networks that appear in the distribution system and at the same time examining the institutions of market activation and regulations that are handled by the central and the local government and the changing logistics due to the development of transportation and the concern of food safety, using a meso-analysis approach. Research design, data, and methodology - The study used a historical and comparative approach with a focus on case studies. It made use of various materials such as local newspaper articles, reports, literature, interviews with experts, discussions with local merchants, discussions with customers, and so forth. Results - In the case of Fukuoka, from the 1960s, due to the entry of supermarkets, supermarkets expanded and they have now come to a dominant market position in the current market. They offer a convenient and comfortable environment while providing a large mall offering a variety of educational and cultural activities for customers to meet the customers' needs, such as the preferences of Korean tourists, who appear to prefer Japanese foods. The Fukuoka City Central Wholesale Market has been exporting fruits and vegetables as well as seafood products to Korea, China, and so forth. In the case of Ulsan, as in the early 2000s, due to the expansion of supermarkets, the traditional markets have been shrinking and further, the modernization of traditional markets was conducted under the auspices of the Small Business Administration. In addition to the large discount malls, the expansion of SSM is expected to further drive the small trader bay. Shopping malls, department stores, and traditional markets contend with each other in Yanji, China, but a large number of citizens appear to prefer traditional markets and imported milk in the supermarket after the melamine scandal in China. Recently, the WanYuan (萬源) wholesale market has been partially completed and made an attempt to become a logistics hub in Northeast Asia. Conclusions - For the development of Korea's retail industry, it is important to offer the government with proposals regarding desired regulation. On the other hand, in order to enable the business of traditional markets, it requires an association for cultural tourism. At present, it would be better to provide a venture fund for the youth rather than infrastructure support. This study emphasizes the importance of institutions and policy to develop networks in the East Sea Rim. Future studies should conduct a survey on customers, managers, and merchants more carefully and systematically to understand the market situation while considering the size of the city and its evolution of markets, as well as policies and institutions.

감성분석 기반의 게임 소비자 온라인 구전효과 연구 (A Study on the Effects of Online Word-of-Mouth on Game Consumers Based on Sentimental Analysis)

  • 배급사가 소매점을 통해 게임을 유통했던 과거와 다르게 현재는 디지털 콘텐츠인 게임을 온라인 기반의 유통채널을 활용하여 판매를 실시하고 있다. 본 연구는 온라인 디지털 콘텐츠 유통 채널인 스팀(Steam)에서 판매되는 게임의 판매량에 대해서 eWOM(전자구전효과)의 요인들이 어떤 영향을 미치는지 분석한다. 최근 빅데이터 기반의 데이터 마이닝 기법을 이용한 연구가 많이 진행되고 있는데, 본 연구에서 eWOM의 요인 중 각 리뷰의 감성을 분석할 수 있는 텍스트 마이닝 기법인 감성분석을 실시하여 eWOM의 감성지수를 도출한다. 감성분석은 나이브 베이즈(Naive Bayes)와 지지벡터기(SVM) 분류기를 활용하고, 정확도가 높은 지지벡터기(SVM) 분류기를 통해 감성지수를 산출한다. 도출한 감성지수와 eWOM의 크기인 각 게임의 리뷰의 수, eWOM의 평점인 각 게임의 유저점수를 독립변수로 하여 종속변수인 판매변화량에 대해서 회귀분석을 실시한다. 회귀분석 결과, 독립변수인 eWOM의 크기와 eWOM의 감성지수가 종속변수인 판매변화량에 영향을 미치는 것을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 연구결과를 통해 국내 게임 기업들이 스팀을 기반으로 해외진출 시 판매량에 영향을 미치는 eWOM의 요인들을 제시할 수 있는 시사점을 가진다.

제조업의 국제화가 국내고용에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 일본제조업 사례를 중심으로 (Impact of Internationalization of Manufacturing Industries on the Domestic Labor Market: The Japanese Manufacturing Industry)

  • Purpose - This study aims to seek various plans to maintain the advancement of the overseas and domestic employment scenario through a case analysis of the Japanese industry, which maintains domestic employment while promoting the overseas advancement of companies despite having a similar industrial structure as Korea. The study further intends to derive insightful implications for Japanese manufacturing companies and government policies. Research design, data, and methodology - We selected four companies from the Japanese manufacturing industry. Being companies that were successful in increasing the domestic employment scenario while advancing in overseas markets. We utilized several secondary data sources including Japanese newspapers and report literature. Results - Previous studies have shown a negative relationship between Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) or offshoring and domestic employment. However, our results showed this relationship with respect to the Japanese manufacturing industry as follows: 1. FDI for developing overseas markets does not decrease domestic production. If Japanese companies change their strategy from exports to overseas production, there will be a consequent decrease in domestic employment of Multinational Enterprises (MNEs). However, the local production that plans the sales expansion of a foreign market does not substitute domestic production. 2. Several case studies illustrate that, as the production of final goods is expanded in foreign countries, there is a corresponding increase in the export of intermediary goods from Japan. In this case, if the production process of Japanese companies is promoted in foreign markets, the amount of exported material and parts from Japan will consequently increase. 3. It is difficult to consider that the establishment of subsidiary companies in foreign countries by manufacturing companies for wholesale, retail, and services decreases domestic employment. This is because the international development of these industries needs expatriates, expatriate training organizations, and research and development (R&D) activities. 4. When there is overseas demand, the growth of local management activities is expected to increase the work of the overseas business department in the head office in Japan, if competitiveness can be secured for better localization and management speed. 5. The conversion of the domestic manufacturing industry into high value-added production is necessary. The relocation of domestic production to foreign markets decreases domestic employment. To prevent this, the upgradation of domestic production bases, including high value-added production, and R&D capability need to be strengthened. Technology-based companies must develop new technology, patents, processes, and so forth, which require extensive human resources for R&D. Conclusions - Domestic medium-sized companies that are capable of consistently supplying high value-added products should be actively encouraged to deploy into and develop overseas markets. Further, this paper considers the necessity of a guidance policy that provides suggestions for overseas deployment, by the initiation of the government, to companies that cannot do so due to the lack of foreign experience or decisions by the CEO, despite having the relevant capability and technologies to supply high value-added products.

일본 과점메이커의 유통계열화의 현실과 이론 (Practice and Theory of RYUTSUKEIRETSUKA(Vertical Marketing System) by the Japanese Leading Manufacturers)

  • 상업론의 전통을 이어받은 일본 마케팅학계의 선구자들은 과점(寡占)메이커가 구축한 유통계열화에 대해 중소상인을 배급자로 전락시킨다고 하여 비판적이었고, 멀지 않은 장래에 붕괴될 것으로 예견했다. 한편 이러한 규범론적 연구그룹에 대해 거의 모든 소비재업계에 보편적으로 존재하는 유통계열화야 말로 미국식 마케팅 전략의 진수라고 평가하는 실증주의 연구그룹도 존재했다. 일본의 유통경로연구는 이러한 전통적인 규범주의 연구와 미국의 영향을 받은 경험주의 연구의 건전한 대립에 의해 발전하였다. 특기해야 할 것은 대형소매기업의 대두가 본격화되는 1980년대에 들어와 유통계열화가 약체화하기 시작했다는 점과 그 반면에 오랫동안 대립관계에 있었던 과점메이커와 대형소매기업간의 파트너십관계가 진전되기 시작했다는 점이다. 이에 따라 일본의 유통경로연구의 입장은 크게 변했다. 유통계열화라는 연구대상이 소멸했다고 판단했기 때문에 종래 이를 비판하고 상인옹호론을 펼쳤던 규범적 연구자들이 대형소매기업이 주도권을 가지는 제판동맹(製販同盟)을 긍정적으로 받아들인 것이다. 한편 유통계열화의 순기능을 지지했던 경험적 연구자들도 태도를 바꾸었다. 실증주의의 가르침에 따라 제판동맹이라는 새로운 실천현상을 연구의 프론티어로 인식한 것이다. 이처럼 일본의 유통경로연구가 일제히 유통계열화에서 제판동맹으로 연구의 중점을 이동시키면서, 방법론적으로 규범주의를 옹호하는 연구자는 그 모습을 감추고 다투어 경험주의 연구에 치중하게 된다. 일본적 마케팅의 주역으로서 규범주의적 색채를 남겼던 유통경로연구 조차도 방법론적으로 전향하게 된 것이다. 본고는 유통계열화의 종언을 전제로 하는 이러한 일본유통경로연구의 움직임에 대해 비판적인 견해를 피력한다.

백화점의 판매수수료 현황 및 정책대응 방안 (Sales Commission of Department Store and Policy Implications)

  • 백화점은 우리나라 유통시장에서 전통적인 대형 유통업체로 자리를 잡고 있었다. 1997년 우리나라의 외환위기 이후, 백화점은 3사를 중심으로 집중도가 높아지면서 납품업자와의 관계에서 우월적인 지위를 가지게 되었다. 그 중에 하나가 판매수수료이다. 판매수수료란 제조업체를 대신하여 제품 판매에 기여를 한 유통업체가 판매 가격에 일정 부분을 가져가는 것을 의미한다. 즉, 백화점에 입점한 업체들이 제품 판매액의 일정부분을 백화점에 지불하는 것이다. 그런데 납품업체의 입장에서는 이러한 판매수수료가 매우 높다고 인식하고 있다. 그러나 한편에서, 백화점은 납품업체를 대신하여 고객을 모으고 판촉활동을 하여 새로운 부가가치를 창출하는 역할을 하기 때문에 단순히 판매수수료가 높다고 말하는 것은 부당하다고 주장하고 있다. 이러한 상황이 발생한 것은 백화점이 직매입 보다는 수수료 위주의 매장 운영을 보이기 때문이다. 백화점의 수입은 판매수수료에 좌지우지 될 수밖에 없고, 규모화와 백화점 브랜드파워를 통한 거래교섭력 증대로, 납품업체와의 관계에서 판매수수료의 주도권을 높이고 있다. 따라서 이러한 백화점의 판매수수료와 관련된 대응정책으로 백화점의 독과점 구조 심화를 방지해야 하며, 납품업체와 공정한 계약 체결을 할 수 있도록 공정거래위원회의 불공정거래행위에 대한 감시가 강화되어야 할 것이다. 한편으로는, 백화점 업계의 자율적인 상생과 공정거래가 정착되도록 하는 환경조성도 병행되어야 할 것이다.

도심지 상업지역의 정부 지원사업 효과 분석 (Government-funded Projects' Effects in Revitalizing the Urban Commercial District for Small and Medium Retail Merchants)

  • Purpose - This study reviews the achievements of a pilot project for the revitalization of a commercial district performed for three years after its establishment in 2011. The project for the revitalization of the commercial district was performed to create a new local community space in connection with the traditional market and nearby districts. Although it was a pilot project, the project for the revitalization of the commercial district has been performed for almost three years. Therefore, this seems a proper time to conduct an interim evaluation of the project. This study aims to review and evaluate how the government support policy is influential for the revitalization of the commercial district. In other words, this research aims to identify what projects positively affected consumers' intention to revisit the downtown commercial area among the commercial district revitalization projects-promotion events, promotion activities, education, merchants cooperation system, IT projects, cultural events, and residents' communication. Research design, data, and methodology - This study designated seven management improvement projects affecting commercial district revitalization based on preceding studies. The survey of the degree of satisfaction on seven management improvement projects was executed targeting consumers who visited the commercial areas. Additionally, visitors' revisit intentions regarding currently visited commercial areas were also investigated. Therefore, revisit intention was set as a dependent variable and the satisfaction degrees of the respective management improvement projects were set as the independent variables. A total of 1,209 consumers were examined in six districts in the country. Result - Multiple regression analysis results showed that cultural events, education, the merchants' cooperation system, and IT projects brought statistically significant effects to the revisit intentions of consumers. In contrast, promotion events, resident communication projects, and promotion activities did not affect the revisit intentions of consumers. Particularly, the residents' communication project did not show significant influence because of consumers' recognition that it is similar to a cultural event. Conclusion - The following implications for the revitalization of business districts in the urban central area are drawn. From a general perspective, the businesses of culture, education, and cooperative system among seven businesses play positive roles regarding the intention to revisit so that the project is required to be promoted periodically through unique performances differentiated for each district, the merchant training reinforced for professionalism, and the expansion of joint events of merchants. Moreover, the sales promotion project and public relations activity are shown to be not influential to the intention to revisit. Therefore, while short-term sales promotion such as one-time gift events are required, sales promotion and public relation activities to induce revisits by mileage savings and accumulated gift presentation to attract long-term customers are required. The IT business is positively influential to the intention of revisit. Therefore, detailed information on the revitalized commercial district should be provided and additional functions such as discount coupons for continuous utilization should be included in the mobile app and the website.

지각된 가치가 고객만족과 재구매 의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 : 전통시장 이용 고객을 중심으로 (A Study on the Effects of Perceived Value on Customer Satisfaction, and Repurchase Intention among Traditional Markets Users in KOREA)

  • Purpose - This empirical analysis determines the structured causal relations between perceived value, customer satisfaction, and repurchase intention among users of traditional markets. The results of this analysis would help merchants and market operators indevisingan appropriate strategy to successfully manage traditional markets. Research design, data, methodology - The perceived value model of traditional markets includes functional value (price), functional value (quality), emotional value, and social value. In this study, the perceived value of traditional markets is considered as an independent variable, while customer satisfaction and repurchase intention are shown as the dependent variables, where customer satisfaction is also considered as the mediating variable. The study aims to ascertain the extent of influence of the perceived value of traditional markets on customer satisfaction and repurchase intention. We use regression analysis to verify the effects. The measurement items were already deemed as reliable and valid in the previous study, but for this purpose, we made some modifications. We distributed questionnaires to 300 consumers on a national scale, and finally used 241 consumer responses among these as a sample. We analyzed the data using the SPSS 21.0 statistical program. Results - We obtained the following results. First, the order of perceived value dimensions of traditional markets that positively impact customer satisfaction is functional value (price), social value, emotional value, and functional value (quality). Second, the perceived value sometimes directly affects repurchase intention; its effect is typically strong with customer satisfaction as a parameter. The order of perceived value dimensions that positively impact repurchase intention is social value, functional value (price), emotional value, and functional value (quality). Third, the perceived value significantly influences repurchase intention, with customer satisfaction as the mediating variable. Conclusions - We should recognize the importance of perceived value in retail distribution markets, such as traditional markets. Moreover, we need to develop strategies to improve the perceived value. The practical implications of the study are as follows. First, with regards to functional value (quality; price) dimensions, we should have an appropriate assortment of high quality products that are reasonably priced. In addition, customers are satisfied with the friendly service, discounts, and other benefits provided by the merchants. Second, in terms of emotional value dimension, we need to develop differentiated events that provide fun and emotional experience to the customers. Third, in the context of social values dimension, we should strive to positively influence society to enhance social image through activities such as social services and contribution to community development. On the basis of these results, we present the implications, limitations, and future directions for the research. One of the policy implications of the study is that merchants of traditional markets must actively select customers and develop customer value. However, this study is limited in the fact that the population used for data collection is not fully representative, as the survey only covered some specific areas. Moreover, future studies could also benefit with additional research using moderating variables.
