A Study on Bodice Pattern for Elderly Women's Clothing (노년기 여성의 의복원형설계법 연구 -60세 이상을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a bodice pattern drafting method for Korean elderly women over sixty years old on the basis of their physical characteristics which differ from those of adult women. The study is composed as follows; 1. One hundred and five elderly women were measured on 20 items. Twenty-five items including 20 measured items and 5 calculated items were analyzed statistically. 2. A new method was developed based on the results of data analysis. Basic shells constructed from the patterns were examined through three fitting tests for completion. 3. The sensory evaluation was applied to evaluate the new pattern for elderly women by comparing it with the conventional pattern for adult women. A five-point rating scale was developed for the evaluation. According to a statistical analysis of the result of the 20 items on the questionnaire, all the items showed significant differences (a$\leqq$0.01) between the two, with the new pattern having higher scores.

The Role of Timing and Presidential Popularity in Local Elections: Upheaval in the 2018 Busan City Council Election

  • The 2018 local elections completely upended the composition of Busan's city council, with the council membership changing from being solidly and consistently conservative to being over 80% liberal. What explains this anomalous outcome? While existing literature suggests the outcome of the 2018 city council elections was the consequence of a combination of structural and strategic factors, such as the decline of regional voting, we argue that the individual-level evaluation of President Moon Jae-in is one of the primary factors driving this result. Although coattails effects are commonly considered in concurrent national legislative elections, the Presidentialized and nationalized politics of Korea makes it possible for Presidential elections to affect local elections as well. We assess our explanation through an analysis of repeated cross-sectional survey data collected just before the 2018 local elections. The results of the analysis show that support for the Democratic Party is very strongly predicted by individual-level evaluation of President Moon. When considered in the context of the timing of presidential and local elections, the results suggest that Presidential coattail effects are capable of destabilizing established political patterns, such as regional voting, if perhaps only in a sporadic and idiosyncratic fashion, depending on whether or not local elections are held early on in a President's term.

Digital typological analysis of AI courseware in mathematics education (수학교육에서 AI 코스웨어의 디지털 유형학적 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the characteristics of AI courseware for mathematics learning based on Choppin et al.'s (2014) digital typology and to derive implications for directions for AI courseware development. For this purpose, 12 types of AI courseware actively used in domestic were selected for analysis, and the characteristics of these AI courseware in terms of program-student interaction, teacher' s lesson design, and evaluation system were analyzed. As a result, each AI courseware provided unique functional features for students, teachers, and evaluation, but the ability to modify and configure teaching and learning was limited. Based on these results, implications for the direction of development of AI courseware in mathematics education were presented.

Estimation of Validity for Item Selecting of Landscape Impact Assessment (경관영향평가 항목선정을 위한 타당성 평가)

  • This research is significant in terms of estimating the validity by setting evaluation items in view of integrating not only original beauty and visual areas but also natural ecological areas based on questionnaire. The results are as follows. 1) According to literature study, 17 items such as variety, the character of sites in terms of landscape, the beauty of landscape, visibility, and ratio of green visibility are selected. Also, 21 items such as variety of animals and plants species, size of green area, and ecological naturalness are selected in the area of landscape ecological resources. 2) As a result of questionnaire of the group of landscape experts, animals and plants ecological areas show 5.6341, the highest in importance analysis according to assessment areas. Also, as a result of importance analysis on items in each area, for example, in the area of visual resources, the item of skyline analysis is 6.0488, the highest. 3) As a result of corelation of item meaning on landscape effect assesment, for example, meaningness of psychological assessment item and landscape site item indicate 0.710, the highest coefficient correlation. 4) As critical assessment items per unit project, items such as damage minimization of original land features for project in terms of point, ratio of green visibility, variety of animals and plants species marked above 8.0 as high important medium. The project in terms of line, minimization of original land features, preservation of worthy biotope showed high point and the character of sites in terms of landscape, minimization of original land features, the size of green area, and analysis of skyline marked above 8.5 as high importance points. On the contrary, items for climate and soil showed relatively low points.

Psychophysiological evaluation for naturally flavored cream products (천연향을 이용한 크림 제품의 심리생리적 평가)

  • Generally, cosmetic creams have been used to moisturize and smooth human skin. Recently, people concerns about the creams released with natural flavors and its functionality. This study focused to assess the psychophysiological effects of creams with 5 natural flavors such as patchouli oil, frankincense, sandalwood oil, none and newly developed S6. Initially, we have performed subjective evaluation for 100 female subjects aged 20 to 30 from Daejeon, South Korea. The results showed the most preferred flavor was S6 condition. Second, physiological evaluations for 20 female subjects were measured with EEG, ECG and GSR. In EEG analysis, the alpha ratio was confirmed to appear higher in each condition. The statistical analysis shows that significantly largest effect at S6 condition($p$ <0.05). The result from ECG and GSR measurements also shows the same trend. Third, skin conditions were measured when using S6. As a result, the skin temperature, humidity and skin movement speed were increased with S6 condition. The moisturizing and elasticity effects were confirmed.

Designing an Integrated Online-guide for Overseas Applicants Seeking to Teach English in Korea: Focus on Job and Visa Application

  • This study suggests an effective online guide for foreign teachers who want to teach English in Korean schools. When designing this guide for overseas applicants, there should be a consistent analysis to reflect the process of the system. Thus, this paper provides an analysis and results for an integrated online guide to increase the efficiency based on the pedagogical framework for analysis of the 'ADDIE' model (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The number of job applicants who wish to teach English in Korea is growing rapidly because Korea is one of the fastest growing economies in the world and the 'Korean Wave' has especially been experiencing significant changes with the development of social network services and digital technologies. As a result, overseas applicants' expectations regarding Korea when they are seeking information and applying is very high, but the aspects of the procedure provided by the government are somewhat disappointing. The paper presents customer needs and specific recommendation for each step of the application process to improve the guide's effectiveness.

The Statistical Evaluation for the Wear Life of Brake Pad Linings in Vehicle Durability Test and Customer Usage Environment (차량내구시험과 시장 사용환경에서의 브레이크 패드 마찰재 마모수명에 대한 통계적 평가)

  • The life data analysis of the system and component are useful to describe the result of reliability test in product life to satisfy customer's growing need and to change test specifications or design criteria by life data analysis. And vehicle durability tesr occurred market environment. In this study, a statistical analysis for the wear life of brake pad linings helped perform correlation procedure between vehicle durability test and market. B-life values of the brake pad wear life data from both vehicle durability test and marker usage were compared to determine acceleration of the test by the Weibull, normal and log-normal distribution. The acceleration coefficient of the vehicle durability test can access to evaluate design criteria of product and test specification.

  • In this study, we verify the accurate numerical analysis and simplify the perforated plate of inlet and exhaust duct using porous media for the cost reduction and the efficiency improvement of thermal-fluid analysis to evaluate cooling performance of wheel-loader. The flow loss coefficient of the perforated plate is defined by the experiment result. To define analytically the flow loss coefficient of the perforated plate, we calculate the pressure drop of unit-cell and compare to experiment result. Finally, we compare the heat balance test and the simplified simulation result on the inlet and exhaust duct of wheel-loader. After this study, we verify the applicability of the simplified analysis method on the inlet and exhaust duct of wheel-loader. And, foundation which can carry out effectively the evaluation and improvement for cooling performance of wheel-loader is prepared.

Evaluation on the Procurement Logistics of Automobile Factories Based on the Fuzzy-AHP-TOPSIS (Fuzzy-AHP-TOPSIS를 활용한 자동차 공장의 조달물류 평가에 관한 연구)

  • Automobile industry is facing a variety of risks, including the rise of international oil price and the increase of car prices. In addition to the government's deregulation, efforts should be made to improve management aiming at higher production efficiency. In this study, we established a model for evaluating the procurement logistics based on the Fuzzy-AHP-TOPSIS by using the factors that are actually used in real companies aimed at the improvement of procurement logistics. A total of three automobile factories of Company G were chosen as the evaluation subject. In the result of the Fuzzy-AHP analysis that was conducted on a sample of three car factories, solving the long-term quality problems, minimizing the stop time due to the shortage of materials, preventing the of equipment accident, and solving the short-term quality problems were proven to be the most important factors. TOPSIS analysis result indicated that Factory B had the best procurement logistics. Our study has significance that it can contribute to the improvement of efficiency in the automobile industry as the evaluation model suggested in this study can be used for regular evaluation related to the procurement logistics in the future.

A Case Study on Flipped Learning Convergence in Dental Hygiene Major: focusing on learning awareness and academic achievement (치위생 전공 수업에서의 플립러닝 융합 사례 연구: 학습자의 인식과 학업성취도를 중심으로)

  • This study attempted to apply flip-learning and to evaluate college students' awareness and academic achievements. Twenty-seven students in single-group dental hygiene were applied to the dental radiology class for four weeks. Data collection was done after the flipped-learning and collected data were analyzed using frequency, average and content analysis using SPSS 18.0. As a result, awareness of overall class was a positive response, and academic achievement evaluation was not statistically significant. It was found to be an effective educational program. However, the academic achievement evaluation was not statistically significant and it was considered that the evaluation system needs to be different according to the learning method.
