무선 네트워크에서 효율적인 전력 제어 게임을 위한 적응 자원 할당 기법 (Adaptive Resource Allocation for Efficient Power Control Game in Wireless Networks)

  • 본 논문에서는 여러 무선 링크가 존재하는 무선 네트워크에서 좀 더 낮은 송신 전력으로 각 링크가 요구하는 전송률을 만족시키는 분산 자원 할당 기법을 고려한다. 이 때 해결하고자 하는 문제는 분산 전력 제어 게임이 안정적으로 수렴하도록 간섭 환경에 따라 무선 자원을 공유하는 링크 수와 그에 따라 자원 크기를 바꾸는 것이다. 제안하는 기법은 링크 사이의 자원 공유 수준을 정의하고 자원 공유 수준 정보를 교환하여 자원을 공유할 링크와 자원 크기를 분산적으로 결정함으로써 중앙 집권적인 최적 자원 할당보다 교환 정보와 복잡도를 줄인다. 제안 기법은 자원을 항상 공유하거나 직교하게 이용하는 경우보다 송신 전력이 적게 필요하면서 최적 자원 할당과 비슷한 성능을 보인다.

Determination and Variation of Core Bacterial Community in a Two-Stage Full-Scale Anaerobic Reactor Treating High-Strength Pharmaceutical Wastewater

  • Knowledge on the functional characteristics and temporal variation of anaerobic bacterial populations is important for better understanding of the microbial process of two-stage anaerobic reactors. However, owing to the high diversity of anaerobic bacteria, close attention should be prioritized to the frequently abundant bacteria that were defined as core bacteria and putatively functionally important. In this study, using MiSeq sequencing technology, the core bacterial community of 98 operational taxonomic units (OTUs) was determined in a two-stage upflow blanket filter reactor treating pharmaceutical wastewater. The core bacterial community accounted for 61.66% of the total sequences and accurately predicted the sample location in the principal coordinates analysis scatter plot as the total bacterial OTUs did. The core bacterial community in the first-stage (FS) and second-stage (SS) reactors were generally distinct, in that the FS core bacterial community was indicated to be more related to a higher-level fermentation process, and the SS core bacterial community contained more microbes in syntrophic cooperation with methanogens. Moreover, the different responses of the FS and SS core bacterial communities to the temperature shock and influent disturbance caused by solid contamination were fully investigated. Co-occurring analysis at the Order level implied that Bacteroidales, Selenomonadales, Anaerolineales, Syneristales, and Thermotogales might play key roles in anaerobic digestion due to their high abundance and tight correlation with other microbes. These findings advance our knowledge about the core bacterial community and its temporal variability for future comparative research and improvement of the two-stage anaerobic system operation.

Biological Control of Gray Mold Rot of Perilla Caused by Boftis cinerea 1. Resistance of Perilla Cultivars and Selection of Antagonistic Bacteria

  • Resistance of perilla varieties to Botrytis cinerea LVF12 was evaluated, while antagonistic bacteria were selected and tested for their efficacy towards biological control of gray mold rot caused by B. cinerea. Among 11 perilla varieties tested for disease resistance, Milyang variety showed some degree of resistance, while the rest of varieties showed no resistance. Among 250 bacterial isolates collected from perilla loaves and rhizosphere of perilla plants, six isolates showed high levels of inhibitory effect on mycelial growth and conidial germination of B. cinerea in in vitro test. Using the pot test in growth chambers these isolates showed high levels of disease suppression, with Nl isolate showing 95.3% of control value and N4 isolate showing 90.8% of control value. Further test was performed to evaluate the two isolates ability for disease prevention and/or disease therapy, and results showed almost 100% of control vague. Isolates Nl and N4 were identified as Bacillus licheniformis and 5. megatepium, respectively, according to Bergey's manual, API 20E and 50CHB test kit, and Transmission electron microscope.

NGN에서의 QoS 정보요소 매핑 및 Rs/Rw 인터페이스의 자원제어 프로토콜 구현 (Mapping of QoS Information Elements and Implementation of Rs/Rw Interface Resource Control Protocols in NGN)

  • NGN은 QoS가 지원되는 광 대역 전달 망에서 세션 및 비-세션 서비스를 지원하기 위한 패킷 기반의 융합 망이다. NGN에서 네트워크 사용자에 따라 차별화된 서비스를 제공하기 위해서는 QoS 기반 자원제어가 이루어져 한다. 본 논문에서는 DIAMETER를 이용하는 Rs 인터페이스의 자원제어 프로토콜을 설계 및 구현하였으며 NGN에서 QoS 기반 자원제어를 위하여 DIAMETER 정보요소와 세션제어 프로토콜인 SIP의 SDP 속성들의 매핑방안을 제시하였다. Rs 인터페이스와의 연동 용이성과 다양한 기능성을 고려하여 ITU-T에서 제시한 자원제어 프로토콜 중에서 Rw 인터페이스는 DIAMETER를 이용하는 자원제어 프로토콜을 구현하였다. 또한, 서비스 층에서 전송 층으로 자원제어를 위하여 Rs와 Rw 인터페이스 사이의 메시지 및 정보요소의 매핑방안을 제시하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 QoS 정보요소의 매핑 방안과 Rs와 Rw 인터페이스의 연동 방안을 이용하여 차별화된 전송 서비스를 제공하는 NGN 자원제어 테스트-베드를 구축하였다.

  • Generator excitation system, supplying the voltage to power system, is controlled by various manners as aspects of power system. Previously excitation systems mainly used AVR(Automatic Voltage Regulator) and FCR(Field Current Regulator) to control voltage, but nowadays the excitation systems have the tendency to adopt AQR(Automatic Reactive power Regulator) and APFR(Automatic Power Factor Regulator) to do it so as to get into step with diverse requirements of power system and high digital technology. This paper presents which operation methods is effective for the equipment, according to increase the unmanned power station thanks to automation technic.

  • An SADT-based methodology is presented for systematically analyzing the container working process in container terminal, as well as an object-oriented design method for an integrated information system for container terminal resource planning and management. Our design architecture is composed of four levels, activity interface, activity PDCA control, human resource management, and facility resource management. Especially, the consideration of the human resource management level makes it possible to support cooperative tasks, to make the authority and responsibility on a task clear, and to extremely promote the balance between human and facility resources. Finally, The system architecture is suggested for Virtual Container Terminal, in which a planned container working process is simulated for previous feasibility check, work orders are transferred to control real devices, and to manage the entire process and related data.

CPS: Operating System Architecture for Efficient Network Resource Management with Control-Theoretic Packet Scheduler

  • The efficient network resource management is one of the important topics in a real-time system. In this paper, we present a practical network resource management framework, control-theoretic packet scheduler (CPS) system. Using our framework, an operating system can schedule both input and output streams accurately and efficiently. Our framework adopts very portable feedback control theory for efficiency and accuracy. The CPS system is able to operate independent of the internal network protocol state, and it is designed to schedule packet streams in fine-grained time intervals to meet the resource requirement. This approach simplifies the design of the CPS system, and leads us to obtain the intended output bandwidth. We implemented our prototype system in Linux, and measured the performance of the network resource management system under various network QoS constraints. The distinctive features of our principles are as follows: It is robust and accurate, and its operation is independent of internal network protocols.

Spectrum Reuse Schemes with Power Control for Device-to-Device Communication in LTE-Advanced Cellular Network

  • The spectral efficiency of cellular networks can be improved when proximate users engage in device-to-device (D2D) communications to communicate directly without going through a base station. However, D2D communications that are not properly designed may generate interference with existing cellular networks. In this paper, we study resource allocation and power control to minimize the probability of an outage and maximize the overall network throughput. We investigate three power control-based schemes: the Partial Co-channel based Overlap Resource Power Control (PC.OVER), Fractional Frequency Reuse based Overlap Resource Power Control (FFR.OVER) and Fractional Frequency Reuse based Adaptive Power Control (FFR.APC) and also compare their performance. In PC.OVER, a certain portion of the total bandwidth is dedicated to the D2D. The FFR.OVER and FFR.APC schemes combine the FFR techniques and the power control mechanism. In FFR, the entire frequency band is partitioned into two parts, including a central and edge sub-bands. Macrocell users (mUEs) transmit using uniform power in the inner and outer regions of the cell, and in all three schemes, the D2D receivers (D2DRs) transmit with low power when more than one D2DRs share a resource block (RB) with the macrocells. For PC.OVER and FFR.OVER, the power of the D2DRs is reduced to its minimum, and for the FFR.APC scheme, the transmission power of the D2DRs is iteratively adjusted to satisfy the signal to interference ratio (SIR) threshold. The three schemes exhibit a significant improvement in the overall system capacity as well as in the probability of a user outage when compared to a conventional scheme.

  • Presented in this paper is a control model for developing virtual factory simulator, which is being operated under the distributed environment. The control model consists of production activity plan and information flows. To incorporate elements of the characteristics of the distributed control system, we suggested a collaboration model. This model is working under the client/server architecture, and also designed for cooperative-distributed shop control(CDSC) system in order to exploit several advantages of client/server architecture. Collaboration among each agent(or client) is done through negotiation and task sharing. Based on a contract net model, the CDSC system has three kinds of agents-order agent, resource agent, and communication forwarding agent. Each agent performs shop scheduling and control through negotiation on contract net. No node in CDSC system can have authority over other node. A bidding scheme is employed far negotiation between order agent and resource agents. The CDSC system can support re-negotiation among resource agents and an algorithm for re-negotiation is also developed. Experimental results are shown to advocate the effectiveness of the CDSC system for CIM environments.
