강우자료의 공간해상도에 따른 모의 유출특성 민감도 고찰 (A Sensitivity of Simulated Runoff Characteristics on the Different Spatial Resolutions of Precipitation Data)

  • Rainfall data is one of the most important data in hydrologic modeling. In this study, the impacts of spatial resolution of precipitation data on hydrological responses were assessed using SWAT in the Santa Fe River Basin, Florida. High correlations were found between the FAWN and NLDAS rainfall data, which are observed weather data and simulated weather data based on observed data, respectively. FAWN-based scenarios had higher maximum rainfall and more rainfall days and events compared to NLDAS-based scenarios. Downstream areas showed lower correlations between rainfall and peak discharge than upstream areas due to the characteristics of study site. All scenarios did not show significant differences in base flow, and showed less than 5% of differences in high flows among NLDAS-based scenarios. The impact of resolution will appear differently depending on the characteristics of the watershed and topography and the applied model, and thus, is a process that must be considered in advance in runoff simulation research. The study suggests that applying the research method to watersheds in Korea may yield more pronounced results, and highlights the importance of considering data resolution in hydrologic modeling.

양측성 만성 경막하출혈의 자발적 흡수: 증례보고 (Bilateral Spontaneous Resolution of Chronic Subdural Hematoma: A Case Report)

  • Although spontaneous resolution of chronic subdural hematoma (C-SDH) in the elderly has rarely been reported, spontaneous resolution of bilateral C-SDH is very rare. Here, we report the case of a 73-year-old female patient with no significant head trauma history who had a bilateral C-SDH spontaneously resolve despite receiving only conservative treatment. However, because of a lack of detailed knowledge about the mechanisms of resolution, treatment is often limited to surgical interventions that are generally successful, but invasive and prone to recurrence. We review the literature and discuss the possible relation of C-SDH's spontaneous resolution with its clinical and radiological characteristics.

  • 최근 베트남은 한국의 3대 교역국으로 부상하고 있다. 우리나라는 베트남과 교역규모가 크게 신장하고 있으며, 베트남에 대한 해외직접투자 역시 증가하고 있다. 한국과 베트남의 교역이 신장됨에 따라서 우리나라 기업과 베트남 기업 간의 분쟁 역시 증가할 소지가 크다. 본 연구는 첫째, 베트남의 문화와 제도적 특징을 분석하고자 한다. 둘째, 베트남의 고유한 분쟁해결방식 및 분쟁해결문화를 연구한다. 셋째, 베트남인과의 비즈니스에 있어서 협상전략을 연구한다. 지역연구방법론을 활용하여 연구한 결과 베트남은 여성 및 명예중시문화, 집단주의 문화적 특징을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 베트남은 협상전략에 있어서 반띤 시스템 등, 중개인을 활용하는 간접적 의사소통방식을 선호하며, 합의에 의한 의사결정, 장기적 협상방식, ADR을 통한 분쟁해결 및 서면합의를 중시하고 있는 것으로 나타나고 있다.

MODIS 위성영상 기반 ESI와 ROC 분석을 이용한 가뭄위험평가 (Drought Hazard Assessment using MODIS-based Evaporative Stress Index (ESI) and ROC Analysis)

  • Drought events are not clear when those start and end compared with other natural disasters. Because drought events have different timing and severity of damage depending on the region, various studies are being conducted using satellite images to identify regional drought occurrence differences. In this study, we investigated the applicability of drought assessment using the Evaporative Stress Index (ESI) based on Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) satellite images. The ESI is an indicator of agricultural drought that describes anomalies in actual and reference evapotranspiration (ET) ratios that are retrieved using remotely sensed inputs of Land Surface Temperature (LST) and Leaf Area Index (LAI). However, these approaches have a limited spatial resolution when mapping detailed vegetation stress caused by drought, and drought hazard in the actual crop cultivation areas due to the small crop cultivation in South Korea. For these reasons, the development of a drought index that provides detailed higher resolution ESI, a 500 m resolution image is essential to improve the country's drought monitoring capabilities. The newly calculated ESI was verified through the existing 5 km resolution ESI and historical records for drought impacts. This study evaluates the performance of the recently developed 500 m resolution ESI for severe and extreme drought events that occurred in South Korea in 2001, 2009, 2014, and 2017. As a result, the two ES Is showed high correlation and tendency using Receiver Operating Characteristics (ROC) analysis. In addition, it will provide the necessary information on the spatial resolution to evaluate regional drought hazard assessment and and the small-scale cultivation area across South Korea.

한반도 고해상도 수치바람지도 구축 (High-resolution Numerical Wind Map for Korean)

  • The numerical simulation optimized by Four Dimensional Data Assimilation (FDDA) with Quick Scatterometer (QuikSCAT) data is carried out to evaluate wind resource characteristics at various heights in the southeastern area of the Korean Peninsula, where wind farms are planned to be built on on- and off-shore as well as comparable diurnal wind variations are characterized at the surface. The temporal and spatial distributions of modeled wind speeds showed good agreement with the observations based on the temporal variation analysis. Model results indicate that the higher model is performed in resolution, the more precise results is at turbine hub height. Occasionally, wind speed variations for each numerical resolution has a different regional and seasonal variations. In the coast area, hub height wind speed of 9km-resolution is simillar to that of 3km-resolution. On the other hand, hub height wind speed of 3km-resolution is simillar to that of 1km-resolution in the Jiri mountainous area.

고해상도 다중분광영상 제작을 위한 합성방법의 비교 (Comparison of Image Merging Methods for Producing High-Spatial Resolution Multispectral Images)

  • 상업위성에서 공급되는 고해상도영상의 활용을 증대하기 위한 영상합성에 대한 관심이 증가하고 있다. 합성에 사용된 고해상도 흑백영상과 저해상도 다중분광영상은 항공기탑재 다중분광 주사기에 의해 촬영된 네 밴드의 영상을 이용하여 모의 제작하였다. 모의 합성된 2rl 해상도의 흑백 영상과 Bnl 해상도의 네 밴드 영상에 대하여 다섯 가지 합성방법(MWD, ItIS, PCA, HPF, CN, PCA) 을 적용하였다. 합성된 영상에 대해서 원래 영상들이 가지고 있던 공간해상도와 분광정보 측면의 특성을 분석하고자, 육안판독, 통계치비교, semivariogram, 분광반사특성 등을 비교하였다. MWD 변환방법에 의하여 합성된 영상이 공간해상도 및 분광정보 측면에서 모두 합성에 사용된 원래 영상과 근접한 결과를 보였다.

  • The numerical dispersive characteristics and the numerical stability confition of the Multi-Resolution Time-Domain(MRTD) method are calculated. A dispersion analysis of the MRTD schemes including a comparison to Yee's Finite-Difference Time-Domain(FDTD) method is given. The superiority of the MRTD method to the spatial discretization is shown. The required computational memory can be reduced by using the MRTD method. We expect that the MRTD method will be very useful method for numerical modelling of electromagnetics.

  • In this paper, the dispersive characteristics of the Finite-Difference Frqequency-Domain method based on the Multi-Resolution Technique(MR-FDFD) are numerically analyzed. A dispersion analysis of the MR-FDFD ority of the MR-FDFD method to the spatial discretization is shown. We expect that the multi-resoluation technique will improve the disavantage of the finite difference techqnique which needs the large comutational memory for accurate electromagnetic analysis.

  • This paper reports the preliminary results on the study of radargrammetry especially for a high-resolution satellite synthetic aperture radar system. Theoretical configurations for radargrammetry in terms of coverage, orbit selection, incidence angles, height sensitivity of parallax and height resolution of DEM were calculated according to the proposed orbit characteristics and the imaging modes of KOMPSAT-5 SAR. Possible imaging strategies and mission scenarios for coverage versus rapidity are suggested for a future mission dedicated to radargrammetry.

  • The feature points in the uncalibrated stereo vision should represent all the characteristics of an image in multiple resolution, have high precision, and have the robustness against mismatching. This paper proposed an algorithm which detects the corner points in multi-resolution for stereo computer vision. The algorithm has sub-pixel precision, rejects the mismatched points, and corrects the lens distortion. We show the performance of the algorithm by estimating the homography with it.
