  • The safety of a structure can be improved by applying the three dimensional passive earth pressure. Because the three dimensional passive earth pressure is much larger than the two dimensional passive earth pressure and it is determined by the size(width B and height H) and the wall frictional angle of the resistant wall. Therefore, the three dimensional passive resistance behavior was studied through the model tests in sandy ground, where the size of the resistant wall and the wall frictional angle were varied. The results show that three dimensional passive earth pressure is 1.1∼3.4 times larger than that of the two dimensional value depending on the wall size and the wall friction.

  • The thermal creep is one of the major factors causing the buckle of steel columns in the fire events. But, few related studies have been reported to evaluate the factors affecting the thermal creep of steel column experimentally or numerically. In this study a series of Fire-resistant steel columns with three different slenderness ratios under a sustained load are tested under a uniform temperature up to six hours in order to evaluate the creep upon three selected factors, temperature, applied load, and column slenderness. Based on experimental results, a proposed creep strain rate model is established as the function of a single parameter of the load ratio of temperature LR(T) to determine the buckling time of steel column due to creep. Furthermore it is found that the creep can be neglected when LR(T) is smaller than 0.77.

  • The study on the progress of automatic machining system has been active centering at the CNC machine tools recently to lead the applied production technology like unmaned machining to the practical level, and to make these application more efficient, they require detective method for tool wear and breakage while machining. In this study chiefly on turning, first derive cutting force about the tool surface by the cutting resistant sensor and with which change into electric signal and compare with the standards to make the tool life detection system to let know the tool life and study its application; the cutting resistance detected by the cutting resistant sensor has increased to the level of standards, the measuring system which can decide whether we change tools on the basis of comperative circuit is shown to be very reliable model for cutting tool life detection system.

  • Recently, the fire risk of architectural structures is increasing due to the super high - rise and super - size of the buildings. Therefore, the direction of fire safety design tends to change from the existing design to the performance - based design. In particular, domestic fire safety policies are divided into building law and fire fighting law. In case of fire fighting law, performance design is already carried out. Therefore, this study summarizes the prediction formula for fire characteristics among the structural fireproofing design field as shown in Fig. 1 according to this situation, and compares it with the standard method of each country in particular.

  • Most of the previous proxy re-encryption schemes rely on the average-case hardness problems such as the integer factorization problems and the discrete logarithm problems. Therefore, they cannot guarantee its security under quantum analysis, since there exist quantum algorithms efficiently solving the factorization and logarithm problems. In the paper, we propose the first proxy re-encryption scheme based on the hard worst-case lattice problems. Our scheme has many useful properties as follows: Unidirectional, collusion-resistant, noninteractive, proxy invisible, key optimal, and nontransitive. We also provided the formal security proof of the proposed scheme in the random oracle model.

Therefore it is desirable to determin model considering the required accuracy of the analysis results, the given time restried economy. " Standard Specification for Roadway Bridges" Division V, Seismic Design prove "Single Mode Spectral Analysis Method" as the basic analysis method for the earthquake design of roadway bridges classified as "regular". • We developed three-dimensional quantitative structure activity relationship (3D-QASR) models for 17 adamantyl derivatives as P-glycoprotein (P-gp) inhibitors. Eighteen different partial charge calculation methods were tested to check the feasibility of the 3D-QSAR models. Best predictive comparative molecular field analysis (CoMFA) model was obtained with the Austin Model 1-Bond Charge Correction (AM1-BCC) atomic charge. The 3D-QSAR models were derived with CoMFA and comparative molecular similarity indices analysis (CoMSIA). The final CoMFA model ($q^2$ = 0.764, $r^2$ = 0.988) was calculated with an AM1-BCC charge and electrostatic parameter, whereas the CoMSIA model ($q^2$ = 0.655, $r^2$ = 0.964) was derived with an AM1-BCC charge and combined steric, electrostatic, hydrophobic and HB-acceptor parameters. Leave-five-out (LFO) cross-validation was also performed, which yielded good correlation coefficient for both CoMFA (0.801) and CoMSIA (0.656) models. Robustness of the developed models was checked further with 1000 run bootstrapping analyses, which gave an acceptable correlation coefficient for CoMFA (BS-$r^2$ = 0.997, BS-SD = 0.003) and CoMSIA (BS-$r^2$ = 0.996, BS-SD = 0.018).

  • This paper introduces a numerical model which can evaluate the fire-resistant capacity of reinforced concrete members. On the basis of the transient heat transfer considering the heat conduction, convection and radiation, time-dependent temperature distribution across a section is determined. A layered fiber section method is adopted to consider non-linear material properties depending on the temperature and varying with the position of a fiber. Furthermore, effects of non-mechanical strains of each fiber like thermal expansion, transient strain and creep strain are reflected on the non-linear structural analysis to take into account the extreme temperature variation induced by the fire. Analysis results by the numerical model are compared with experimental data from the standard fire tests to validate an exactness of the introduced numerical model. Also, time-dependent changes in the resisting capacities of reinforced concrete members exposed to fire are investigated through the analyses and, the resisting capacities evaluated are compared with those determined by the design code.

  • Neutron spectrum is essential to the safe operation of reactors. Traditional online neutron spectrum measurement methods still have room to improve accuracy for the application cases of wide energy range. From the application of artificial neural network (ANN) algorithm in spectrum unfolding, its accuracy is difficult to be improved for lacking of enough effective training data. In this paper, an adaptive deviation-resistant neutron spectrum unfolding method based on transfer learning was developed. The model of ANN was trained with thousands of neutron spectra generated with Monte Carlo transport calculation to construct a coarse-grained unfolded spectrum. In order to improve the accuracy of the unfolded spectrum, results of the previous ANN model combined with some specific eigenvalues of the current system were put into the dataset for training the deeper ANN model, and fine-grained unfolded spectrum could be achieved through the deeper ANN model. The method could realize accurate spectrum unfolding while maintaining universality, combined with detectors covering wide energy range, it could improve the accuracy of spectrum measurement methods for wide energy range. This method was verified with a fast neutron reactor BN-600. The mean square error (MSE), average relative deviation (ARD) and spectrum quality (Qs) were selected to evaluate the final results and they all demonstrated that the developed method was much more precise than traditional spectrum unfolding methods.

  • Changes in contents of free sugars, amino acids, and fatty acids of legumes were analyzed for each phase of in vitro digestion. In addition, contents of resistant starch in raw and digested pulses were compared. Soybeans, kidney beans, cowpeas, and chickpeas were analyzed. An in vitro digestion model was used to analyze contents of nutrients using LC-MS and GC-MS. Stachyose in kidneybean, cowpea, and chickpea increased as the digestion phase progressed. In four types of legumes, raffinose slightly decreased or showed no significant difference between the Oral phase and the BBMV phase. Content of glucose, a monosaccharide, increased during the BBMV phase. During the digestion phase, levels of free amino acids and free fatty acids also increased. Content of resistant starch was reduced compared to that in the raw material. It was 0.01g/100 g food in soybean, 1.06 g/100 g food in red kidney bean, 0.77g/ 100g food in cowpea, and 0.76 g/100 g food in chickpea. It was confirmed that nutrients in the in vitro digestion model were liberated at each digestion phase with changes in the content of resistant starch. These results are expected to be used as fundamental data for obtaining bioavailability of nutrients.
