This paper proposes a new framework for variability analysis in QFD. The proposed framework considers the uncertainty of the information contained in the house of quality chart and analyzes the variability resulting in the outcome. A new framework provides a dominance index and a difference index for each pairwise ECs. The indices are helpful to evaluate priorities of each pairwise EC.

In this study, we developed a new methodology. AHP is a well-known multiattribute decision technique that has been applied to private and public areas. It is well suited to group decision making and offers many benefits as a synthesizing mechanism in group decisions. This paper explains why the AHP is well-suited to group decision making by means of the case study. Through this case study, this paper tried setting priorities for the strategic industry with the focus on the small and medium industry in Pusan.

In the case of government policies related to the Arctic Ocean, there is a "Northern Sea activity promotion basic plan" presented by the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, but it is difficult to adjust the timing of the policy enforcement and consider the importance of policies because no concrete order of enforcement of policies or weight has been presented by the government. In view of this, the purpose of this study was to estimate the priorities of the government's Arctic policies. Additionally, this study also presents priorities for "support measures" and "foreign cooperation measures" for the smooth implementation of Arctic policies. As for the methodology of this study, the CFPR (Consistent Fuzzy P reference Relations) method, which can comprehensively estimate expert opinions, was applied. According to the results of the analysis, the most important Arctic policy of the government was shown to be "Cooperation for Shipping and Logistics, such as Pioneering Northern Sea Routes" (0.087), followed by "Fostering Professional Manpower" (0.086), and "P reparing Institutional Foundation and Blueprint" (0.085). The results of this study have implications for the establishment of Arctic Ocean-related policies by policymakers as well as authorities.

Due to the development of communication technology and expansion of Intelligent Transport System (ITS), the car is changing from a simple mechanical device to second living space which has comprehensive convenience function and is evolved into the platform which is playing as an interface for this role. As the interface area to provide various information to the passenger is being expanded, the research importance about smart car based user experience is rising. This study has a research objective to propose the guidelines regarding the smart car user experience elements. In order to conduct this study, smart car user experience elements were defined as function, interaction, and surface and through the discussions of UX/UI experts, 8 representative techniques, 14 representative techniques, and 8 locations of the glass windows were specified for each element. Following, the smart car users' priorities of the experience elements, which were defined through targeting 100 drivers, were analyzed in the form of questionnaire survey. The analysis showed that the users' priorities in applying the main techniques were in the order of safety, distance, and sensibility. The priorities of the production method were in the order of voice recognition, touch, gesture, physical button, and eye tracking. Furthermore, regarding the glass window locations, users prioritized the front of the driver's seat to the back. According to the demographic analysis on gender, there were no significant differences except for two functions. Therefore this showed that the guidelines of male and female can be commonly applied. Through user requirement analysis about individual elements, this study provides the guides about the requirement in each element to be applied to commercialized product with priority.

This study concerns performance evaluation of the research-funding agencies focused on Korea Science and Engineering Foundation(KOSEF). On the basis of the constituents approach and the systems approach of organizational effectiveness theory, the evaluation items are derived reflecting generic characteristics of the research-funding agencies, and their priorities are determined using analytic hierarchy process(AHP). Three groups of constituents with differing interest and expections are identified, and their perceptions on the importance of the evaluation items are measured through questionnaire survey. Analyses show that the evaluation items perceived important by each constituency are significant different from one another. The implications of the result to the Government and KOSEF are discussed.

A scheduled airlift is the most critical part of the air transportation operations in ROK Air Force. The military cargo-plane routing problem is a PDPLS (pickup and delivery problem in which load splits and node revisits are allowed). The cargo which is transported by a military cargo-plane is measured in pallet. The efficiency of pallet needs to be considered with respect to its volume and weight. There are some guidelines about orders of priorities and regulations in the military air transportation. However, there are no methodologies which can raise the efficiency of flight scheduling using Operations Research (OR) theories. This research proposes the effective computing methodology and the related heuristic algorithms that can maximize the effectiveness of the path routing model.

The following research was conducted to encourage residents in urban areas to move to rural areas, and to improve the residential environments in those rural areas. Current policies for rural village development Project were analyzed, and policy implications were proposed. Residents in rural villages participated in a 12-question survey that asked their priorities prior to moving to the area, and factors contributing to resident satisfaction. Importance and Performance Analysis (IPA) was performed to present potential development strategies in the construction business. As a result, 'natural environment and landscapes' had the highest priority and satisfaction, whereas 'lack of public transportation and accessibility' and 'road conditions and parking facilities' had high priorities but low satisfaction levels. Thus, it is important to take nature and environment, as well as accessibility into consideration when moving to rural villages. Although this research was based on residents' bias, and the sample area was limited, these conclusions still offer important policy agreement provide of future rural villages location selection and establishment of land use planning.
