Mining Interesting Sequential Pattern with a Time-interval Constraint for Efficient Analyzing a Web-Click Stream (웹 클릭 스트림의 효율적 분석을 위한 시간 간격 제한을 활용한 관심 순차패턴 탐색)

  • Due to the development of web technologies and the increasing use of smart devices such as smart phone, in recent various web services are widely used in many application fields. In this environment, the topic of supporting personalized and intelligent web services have been actively researched, and an analysis technique on a web-click stream generated from web usage logs is one of the essential techniques related to the topic. In this paper, for efficient analyzing a web-click stream of sequences, a sequential pattern mining technique is proposed, which satisfies the basic requirements for data stream processing and finds a refined mining result. For this purpose, a concept of interesting sequential patterns with a time-interval constraint is defined, which uses not on1y the order of items in a sequential pattern but also their generation times. In addition, A mining method to find the interesting sequential patterns efficiently over a data stream such as a web-click stream is proposed. The proposed method can be effectively used to various computing application fields such as E-commerce, bio-informatics, and USN environments, which generate data as a form of data streams.

Developing the assessment model for technology selection: Based on the BSC and ANP (기술 선정을 위한 평가모델 개발: BSC와 ANP를 중심으로)

  • Technology assessment is one of the most challenging decision making areas that companies face nowadays. According to increase the importance of technology selection, it has been a main issue for the decision makers whether an appropriate technology selection will be successful or not. Therefore, in this study, a technology assessment model using BSC and ANP method was proposed. The technology assessment model consist of three phase. In first phase, various factors, that have an influence on technology assessment, were taken into consideration. Based on the extracted BSC process, the strategies and critical success factors and performance measures were extracted for selecting the technology. And in second phase, the ANP method used to integrate opinions of experts' and evaluate technology alternatives controls tangible and intangible criteria, allows for more complex inter-relationship among decision levels and deals with ambiguity involved in the assessment process. In the lase phase, according to the result of before phase, decision makers select the appropriate technology. Furthermore, the proposed model was applied in the public service for validating the feasibility of the assessment model. The criteria and proposed performance measures informs the method and focus areas for developing the technology. Furthermore, the assessment model can be applied to the other area, and give the objectivity and rationality.

  • The Purpose of This study is amid competition, High-quality human resources in food service industry make a lot of efforts. Especially, Work and Life Balance(WLB) is a considerable factor when modern workers decide and maintain the workplace and also it could be supposed as one strategic method that corporations could attract and maintain talented people. This study built a exploratory model that there is causal relationship of WLB(work and life balance) to employee's organizational commitment. Additionally this study examine the Moderating Effect of perceived value of work between WLB(work and life balance) and organizational commitment. This study utilized total 217 responses from workers of food service industrial employees and as analysis methods, it used descriptive statistic analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and hierarchical analysis. Results of analysis are as follows. First this study found that the work-life balance could give significant effects to the organizational commitment. work-growth balance and work-leisure balance has positive significance effect with the organizational commitment but work-family balance was not statistically significant. Second, The significance of this study indicates that perceived value of work plays a role as moderating variable influencing the relationship between work and growth balance and employee organizational commitment. Lastly, this study suggested the implication of the result, the limitation and the direction of future study. The results of this study provide suggestion to the company.

The Impact of Family-Friendly Corporate Culture on Employees' Behavior (가족친화적 기업문화가 근로자의 행동에 미치는 영향)

  • This study investigates the effects of family-friendly corporate policies on employees' job satisfaction, quality of life, organizational commitment, and turnover intention. Data was collected using a self-administered questionnaire from medium sized manufacturing company during the summer of 2017 and received 295 useful responses. The data was analyzed using the multiple and simple regressions. The results showed that the effects of family-friendly corporate policies were significantly positive from the employee's perspective. The employees' awareness of the family-friendly policy was positively correlated with their job satisfaction, quality of life, and organizational commitment, but it was negatively associated with turnover intention. It should be noted that the boss' support at work showed the insignificant effect on the family friendly policy awareness and this result was very different from the previous study. The study concludes that companies as well as employees benefit from family-friendly policies. The study that in order to create a family-friendly corporate culture, the company should not only introduce the policy to employees but also provide the support and atmosphere for the employees to utilize the family-friendly policy easily, and to establish a companywide support policy, organizational practitioners should find the way family-friendly policies to be rooted in the organization.

This study might be expected to provide a useful guide that corporate social responsibility, the company with a good governance and oversight systems enable to to get a higher credit rating in practice and research.

The Relationship between Star Employee Ratio and Firm Performance: An Analysis of Korean Sell-Side Analysts (스타 인재의 비율과 증권사 재무성과의 관계에 대한 연구 - 국내 증권사의 애널리스트를 중심으로 -)

  • Amidst the growing uncertainty in external environments, securing and retaining superior human resources is becoming emphasized as a key means for organizations to achieve competitive advantages. Particularly, star employees-human resources that are characterized by their ability to create extraordinary performance relative to other peers-are increasingly gaining attention in both academia and industry because of its importance in knowledge-based industries. However, despite the prevailing recognition for star employees, few previous literature have attempted to empirically test the direct relationship between the ratio of star employees in an organization and organizational performance. Considering both the potential for positive and negative influence of star employees on organizations, the relationship between the ratio of star employees and organizational performance can not only be a simple linear relationship but can also exist in a curvilinear form. Building on the existing literature on star employees, this paper establishes competing hypotheses for the two possibilities of curvilinear relationship; as the ratio of star employees increases, marginal effects can either increase (i.e., U-shaped curvilinear relationship) or decrease (i.e., inverted U-shaped curvilinear relationship). Employing an unbalanced panel data of 35 Korean brokerage firms between years 2008 and 2013 with 134 observations, the relationship between the ratio of best analysts (i.e. star employees) as selected by Maeil Business Newspaper and financial performance (i.e. organizational performance) of corresponding brokerage firms is examined. Empirical results indicate that while organizational performance increases as the ratio of star employees increases, its positive effect diminishes over time which provides support for the curvilinear relationship with decreasing marginal effects. Our research findings imply that star employees create value in knowledge-based industries; at the same time, implications are given as results calls for caution for excessive dependence on star employees beyond a certain level.

  • Recently many countries around the world are actively promoting smart city projects to address various urban problems such as traffic congestion, housing shortage, and energy scarcity. Due to development of the Internet of Things (IoT), the development of a smart city with sustainability, convenience, and environment-friendliness was enabled through the effective control and reuse of urban resources. The purpose of this study is to analyze the technical trends of IoT and present a development plan for smart city which is one of the applications of the IoT. To this end, the news articles of the Electronic Times between 2013 and 2015were analyzed using the text mining technique and smart city development cases of other countries were investigated. The analysis results revealed the close relationships of big data, cloud, platforms, and sensors with smart city. For the successful development of a smart city, first, all the interested parties in the city must work together to create new values throughout the entire process of value chain. Second, they must utilize big data and disclose public data more actively than they are doing now. This study has made academic contribution in that it has presented a big data analysis method and stimulated follow-up studies. For the practical contribution, the results of this study provided useful data for the policy making of local governments and administrative agencies for smart city development. This study may have limitations in the incorporation of the total trends because only the news articles of the Electronic Times were selected to analyze the technical trends of the IoT.

A New PMU (parametric measurement unit) Design with Differential Difference Amplifier (차동 차이 증폭기를 이용한 새로운 파라메터 측정기 (PMU) 설계)

  • This paper describes a new PMU(parametric measurement unit) design technique for automatic test equipment(ATE). Only one DDA(differential difference amplifier) is used to force the test signals to DUT(device under test), while conventional design uses two or more amplifiers to force test signals. Since the proposed technique does not need extra amplifiers in feedback path, the proposed PMU inherently guarantees stable operation. Moreover, to measure the response signals from DUT, proposed technique also adopted only one DDA amplifier as an IA(instrument amplifier), while conventional IA uses 3 amplifiers and several resistors. The DDA adopted two rail-to-rail differential input stages to handle full-range differential signals. Gain enhancement technique is used in folded-cascode type DDA to get open loop gain of 100 dB. Proposed PMU design enables accurate and stable operation with smaller hardware and lower power consumption. This PMU is implemented with 0.18 um CMOS process and supply voltage is 1.8 V. Input ranges for each force mode are 0.25~1.55 V at voltage force and 0.9~0.935 V at current force mode.

  • At these information age when the importance of news is of particular emphasis, the field of image-production for the news are being made rapid progressive by high-tech like multi-media, multi-channel digital system. Even experts who have engaged in the work of broadcasting in th field for a long time are perplexed with rapid development in Broadcasting equipments and expression techniques. The field of TV is characterized by the speed of change and the desire of viewers for new and interesting video images. The image expression system applying image line has ever existed as one of conventional image expression methods. Obsolete and old image expressions are paling into significance for viewers who want to access more information in a short time. but The change of image expression systems due to the progressive stream of time has forced existing imaginary to be changed constantly to accommodate the changing interests and expectations of the viewers. Therefore, in this treatise, we need a broad interpretation about the direction of this imaginary line for TV news image in that existing systems of image producing haven’t also been changed and adapted to the stream of time. In these days, image is defined as not only video, but also audio. also We need to reduce the confusion concerning the imaginary line and contribute to a correct understanding images of TV news for not only customers but also producer by extending and applying the concept of imaginary line to image producing.

A Study on the Improvement of Evaluation System for Implementation of National Forest Management (국유림경영계획 실행평가 제도 개선방안에 관한 연구)

  • National forests have been assumed to do a leading role in carbon sequestration and creating forest resources since society demanded it due to climate change. Therefore, it is needed to check whether a national forest management plan and its evaluation are implemented effectively. As an effective planning and management is to be ensured on the basis of proper evaluation system, this research suggests to improve the evaluation system by analyzing it theoretically. Improvements for national forest management plan and its evaluation are as follows: (1) adjusting evaluation goal and time; (2) giving weighting to each work when planning; (3) writing details of change in planning and its grounds; (4) using the national forest management information systems to integrate these evaluation methods and result. Since to predict future changes in forests and achieve sustainable forest management begins at the reliable evaluation for overall process of the implemented project, the significance of this study is in proposing the improvement of evaluation system for national forest.
