Many polysaccharides isolated from plants are considered to be biological response modifiers and have been shown to enhance various immune responses in vivo and in vitro. Here we demonstrate that a polysaccharide isolated from cell culture of Acanthopanax senticosus (AS) has a unique mode of immunostimulation with regard to its cell-type specificity. AS was found to markedly increase polyclonal IgM antibody production and the proliferation of B cells. and to activate iNOS transcription and NO production in macrophages. (omitted)

This study was performed to investigate the adequate standard pot and number of plants per tree of raising seeding pot on the foxtail millet transplanting culture in the southern province. Due to the various application of wellbeing-health food recently, for upbringing of the foxtail millet, millet and sorghum in minor cereals, R & D and policy support is being promoted actively. The foxtail millet growing season is so short from 90 to 130 days, and it is large variations for a growth temperature. The main results are as follows. When it comes to foxtail millet transplantation, seedling quality of 406 holes, 200 holes and 162 holes of raising seeding pot type were not all significant, and field rooting percentage is accounted for all 94 to 95%. Yield of a foxtail millet was exposed in 406holes 305 kg/10a>162holes 303 kg> 200holes 302 kg order, and it was no significance between test processing. When it's the raising seeding transplanting culture, in case of pot culture, 406holes pot culture were reduced the bed soil cost 63%, pot 50%, working hours 18% for 200holes pot. Transplanting seedling quality per a foxtail millet transplanting culture method, dry weight was high inclination as transplanting number of plant is less, and field rooting percentage displayed more than all 95%. Yield appeared to 2 plants seedling transplanting 315kg/10a> 3 plants seedling transplanting 304kg>1 plant seedling transplanting 256kg order. The projected cost per the pot-sort on the raising seeding transplanting culture of foxtail millet, the seedling transplanting culture of 406holes was reduced 40% percentages compared to 200holes as 76,230won/10a. As a result, 406holes pot and 2plants seedling transplanting culture, labor-saving culture was possible.

A recently bioinformatic analysis of genomic sequences of fungi indicated that fungi are able to produce more secondary metabolites than expected. Despite their potency, many biosynthetic pathways are silent in the absence of specific culture conditions or chemical cues. To access cryptic metabolism, 108 fungal strains isolated from various sites were cultured with or without Streptomyces sp. 13F051 which mainly produces trichostatin analogues, followed by comparison of metabolic profiles using LC-MS. Among the 108 fungal strains, 14 produced secondary metabolites that were not recognized or were scarcely produced in mono-cultivation. Of these two fungal strains, Myrmecridium schulzeri 15F098 and Scleroconidioma sphagnicola 15S058 produced four new compounds (1-4) along with a known compound (5), demonstrating that all four compounds were produced by physical interaction with Streptomyces sp. 13F051. Bioactivity evaluation indicated that compounds 3-5 impede migration of MDA-MB-231 breast cancer cells.

Microbial cellulose has many potential applications due to its excellent physical properties. The production of cellulose from Acetobacter xylinum in submerged culture is, however, beset with numerous problems. The most difficult one has been the appearance of negative mutants under shaking culture conditions, which is deficient of cellulose producing ability. Thus genetic instability of Acetobacter xylinum under shaking culture condition made developing a stable mutant major research interest in recent years. To find a proper type of bioreactor for the production of microbial cellulose, several production systems were developed. Using a reactor system with planar type impeller with bottoms sparging system, it was possible to produce 5 g/L microbial cellulose without generating cellulose minus mutants, which is comparable to that of static culture system.

While the literature is replete with arguments that corporate strategy, structure, and culture independently matter in explaining the growth and survival of firms, little theoretical and empirical attention has been devoted to understanding how the three organizational factors develop over time in interaction. Through in-depth case study, we examine the POSCO's historical development with respect to the strategy-structure-culture interface. Furthermore, by looking at the POSCO's longitudinal financial data we gain insight into whether the aligned evolution of strategy, structure, and culture is associated with performance.

This experimental study was carried out to investigate on the safety of Nog-yong aqua-acupuncture solution in primary culture of adult rat hepatocytes. Primary culture of adult rat hepatocytes has been considered as a ideal model for toxicological studies because cultured hepatocytes maintained many liver-specific functions. In this research, we investigated the effects of Nog-yong aqua-aqupunture(1-10$\mu\textrm{g}$/ml) on cytotoxicites in primary culture of adult rat hepatocytes using LDH release assays. Hepatic glutathione level. glutathione-S-transferase activity, and albumin synthesis were not affected by treatment with Nog-yong aqua-aqupuntur alone. Nog-yong aqua-aqupuncoure solution(0.5-$10{\mu}\textrm{g}$/ml) on cytotoxicites in primary culture of adult rat hepatocytes using LDH release not significantly affected normal functional charaterists.

The major findings of this study are summarized as follows; First, Type 1 Group (Innovative Industry Leading Group) tends to use innovative and market differentiation strategy and has more innovative C.E.O's management style and innovative culture. Second, Type 2 Group (Dependent Group on Market Change) tends to use market differentiation or cost leadership strategy and has a more conservative C.E.O's management style and non-innovative culture. Third, Type 3 Group (Small Technology Intensive Group) tends to use focused innovative strategy and has a more innovative C.E.O's management style and innovative culture. This study investigates the relationship between Culture and online trust in three cultural dimensions: individualism, collectivism and long term orientation. For this purpose, this study proposes the empirical hypothesis to test the implication of the proposed model. The results are as follows. First, the purchase intention is influenced by the online trust in statistical sense. Second, the relationship between Culture and the antecedents of online trust are statistically established in three cultural dimensions: individualism, collectivism and long term orientation. The direction of future research is to develop the more refined hypothesis to test the empirical model in the field of on line trust and culture.
