An Analysis of Competencies of Dietitians in Self-operated vs. Contracted Employee Foodservice by Worker-oriented Job Analysis Methodology (직영 및 위탁 사업체 급식소 영양사에 대한 작업자 지향적 직무분석(제 1 보) : 직무 수행 능력 요건)

  • The job characteristics and competencies of 285 dietitians in employee foodservices were investigated by worker-oriented job analysis methodology. The purposes of this study were to : a) determine the knowledge, abilities, skills and other characteristics(KASO, hereafter) needed for dietitians in two types of employee foodservice groups(self-operated vs. contracted) and b) the analysis of the degree of frequency and importance and entry requirements of KASO items listed below : their degree of frequency, the level of importance and their function as entry requirements. The 134 KASO items would be divided into 12 task categories. The questionnaire was mailed to 250 dietitians who are members of The Korean Dietetic Association Practice Group in self-operated foodservices(hereafter group A) and 250 dietitians who are employed in contracted foodservice companies(hereafter group B). Completed questionnaires were received from 285 dietitians(121 in self-operated, 164 in contracted) ; with a response rate of 57%. Statistical data analysis was completed using the SPSS/win and the SAS/win packages. The results of this study can be summarized as follows. 1) Analysis of the degree of frequency, importance and entry requirements of 134 KASO items in group A showed a high priority(score〉4.0) placed on 14 items in relation to dietetic tasks and 9 items in relation to human attributes, whereas in group B 19 items in relation to dietetic tasks and 11 items in relation to human attributes. 2) Comparing responses about the KASO items in the 12 task categories, there was a significant difference between the two sample groups with regard to degree of frequency : group A scored 3.29, group B scored 3.50(p〈0.01). With regard to importance of KASO items in 12 task categories, group A scored 3.78 and group B scored 3.88 showing no significant differences. With to entry requirements of KASO items in 12 task categories, group A scored 3.29 and group B scored 3.46 showing a significant difference(p〈0.05).   • In this paper, analysis of airworthiness requirements which require flight test to show compliance and flight test method as means of compliance to those requirements are provided. For unusable fuel test, sufficient discussion between certification authority and applicant is required to select test conditions. For hot weather fuel system operation test, preservation and heating of test fuel should be done carefully not to adversely affect to test result.

  • We have to carry out systematic, definite requirements analysis for the successful development of software. The UML gives the ways to grasp user or customer requirements and decide the boundary of business systems from the use case modeling. This paper presents how to extract use case diagram from the requirements specification systematically by applying the standardized rules as a part of the study for use case modeling. We modify requirements specification by applying $R_{RS}$ (Rules for Requirements Specification) and extract actor, use case, relationship by applying $R_{A}$(Rules for Actors), $R_{U}$(Rules for Use Cases) and $R_{R}$(Rules for Relationships) to the modified requirements specification separately and then become to make out use case diagram in the end. By applying the rules presented in this paper to the requirements specification for personnel management, we can reduce the existing difficulties of extracting use case diagram based on the narrative descriptions without any standardized rules.rules.

  • With rapid increasing the development and use of IoT Devices, requirements for safe IoT devices and services such as reliability, security are also increasing. In Security engineering, SDLC (Secure Development Life Cycle) is applied to make the trustworthy system. Secure Development Life Cycle has 4 big steps, Security requirements, Design, Implementation and Operation and each step has own goals and activities. Deriving security requirements, the first step of SDLC, must be accurate and objective because it affect the rest of the SDLC. For accurate and objective security requirements, Threat modeling is used. And the results of the threat modeling can satisfy the completeness of scope of analysis and the traceability of threats. In many countries, academic and IT company, a lot of researches about drawing security requirements systematically are being done. But in domestic, awareness and researches about deriving security requirements systematically are lacking. So in this paper, I described about method and process to drawing security requirements systematically by using threat modeling including DFD, STRIDE, Attack Library and Attack Tree. And also security requirements are described via Common Criteria for delivering objective meaning and broad use of them.

  • The South Korean Navy is making efforts to acquire vessels that the new technology of the 4th industry is applied, and as a part of these efforts, it has a plan to mount and operate an Unmanned Surface Vehicle(USV) on a vessel that will be introduced later. However, the recent studies have focused on only development of common platforms and mission equipment for the USV, and have not sufficiently analyzed studies and operatinoal requirements on mother ship that will operate the mounted USV. Hence, this study analyzed and presented requirements of mother ship with the mounted USV in order to operate effectively it when the future medium and large vessels to be acquired by the South Korean Navy intent to operate the USV.

  • In the bidding stage of turn-key based plant construction contracts, owners provide design and performance basis for contractors instead of giving design drawing. To win the bid for a plant construction, the contractors should be obliged to satisfy and ensure owners'requirements such as design and performance basis in a plant construction project, In other words, owners imposes technical risk of the design to the contractors by specifying responsibility for the analysis and verification of the plant construction. Thus, it is very important that contracters make accurate and realistic basic design plan in a short period of time. To deal with such a situation, we propose a systems engineering approach for the analysis and management of the technical risk. Specifically, we first: 1) Analyzes technical risk related with the plant design information for the bidders, followed by 2) Developing stakeholder requirements for the basic engineering design, and 3) System requirements for dealing with technical risk. Also, in this paper, we proposed converting method from MOE(Measure of Effectiveness) to MOP(Measure of Performance) in the risk analysis. To show the effectiveness of the proposed method, we carried out a case study.

Study on Verification Methodology of Airworthiness Requirements for Bird Strike on Civilian Helicopter based on Numerical Analysis (수치해석을 통한 민수용 헬리콥터의 조류충돌 인증 요구도 검증기법에 대한 연구)

  • The increase of bird strike requires to be amended more safely current airworthiness requirements for bird strike. The USA and Europe are considering the methodology to verify the bird strike requirements based on the finite element analysis (FEA). Meanwhile, the aircraft airworthiness standards in Korea enacted by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport were based on those enacted by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). This means that the verification methods using the FEA for the bird strike requirements should be reflected in the airworthiness standards in Korea. Our study proposes the methodology for bird strike simulation based on the FEA for the external auxiliary fuel tank assembly on the Surion helicopters and confirmed that the numerical outputs corresponded to the test results. The authors suggest that the methodology and procedure based on the FEA are adopted not only in the bird strike requirements but in various aircraft certifications of civilian rotorcraft.

  • Variability management is the foremost criterion that defines the extent to which complexities can be handled in a system. Predominantly, the requirements' engineering (RE) study overlooks, or speculates a consistent behavior of, the environment in which a system functions. In real-time systems it is vital to observe and adjust to an intrinsically changing context. Therefore, in this work we identify the requirements of the system in various contexts by recommending a framework using i* goal model, problem frames, use case maps and live sequence charts. The framework is illustrated using a case study of the smart grid RTP system. In the case study, elaboration of scenarios using use case maps and live sequence charts proved beneficial as they assisted in early analysis and validation of contexts. In addition, the elaboration of requirements for obstacle and conflict analysis assists the requirements engineer to increase the robustness of the system. The proposed framework is evaluated theoretically and by empirical study.

On the Development of an FMEA Method for Automotive Safety Utilizing Design Traceability (자동차 안전성 설계에서 설계 추적성을 활용한 고장형태 영향분석에 관한 연구)

  • In modern systems design and development, one of the key issues is considered to be related with how to reflect faithfully the stakeholder requirements including customer requirements therein, thereby successfully implementing the system functions derived from the requirements. On the other hand, the issue of safety management is also becoming greatly important these days, particularly in the operational phase of the systems under development. An approach to safety management can be based on the use of the failure mode effect and analysis (FMEA), which has been a core method adopted in automotive industry to reduce the potential failure. The fact that a successful development of cars needs to consider both the complexity and failure throughout the whole life cycle calls for the necessity of applying the systems engineering (SE) process. To meet such a need, in this paper a method of FMEA is developed based on the SE concept. To do so, a process model is derived first in order to identify the required activities that must be satisfied in automotive design while reducing the possibility of failure. Specifically, the stakeholder requirements were analyzed first to derive a set of functions, which subsequentially leads to the task of identifying necessary HW/SW components. Then the derived functions were allocated to appropriate HW/SW components. During this design process, the traceability between the functions and HW/SW components were generated. The traceability can play a key role when FMEA is performed to predict the potential failure that can be described with the routes from the components through the linked functions. As a case study, the developed process model has been applied in a project carried out in practice. The results turned out to demonstrate the usefulness of the approach.
