수리계산 적용을 위한 스프링클러설비의 화재안전기준 개선방안 연구 (An Improvement Study on National Fire Safety Code of Sprinkler System for Hydraulic Calculation Application)

  • There are two kinds of design process for sprinkler system. one is pipe schedule system and the other is hydraulically designed system. We have inefficient results when we design by hydraulically designed system because the design process for sprinkler system is restricted by domestic fire code. Therefore, it is essential to do an introduction of hydraulically designed system which is based on engineering for enhancing reliability and efficiency of sprinkler system. This study presents points at issue by comparing and studying design standards of sprinkler system from Korea, Japan and NFPA, and presents improvement plans of national fire safety code of sprinkler system by processing, comparing and analyzing designs according to piping schedule and hydraulically designed system about domestic objects. Installation standards of sprinkler system have to be applied not by object buildings but by hazard classification. It is hard to design an efficient sprinkler system for fire control when water supply requirement of sprinkler systems allocated according to a size of a building because the same purpose but other buildings may request more water requirement or less. We should sublate the pipe schedule system from national fire safety code and need to introduce the hydraulically designed system. The pipe schedule system presents easy access because it is based on the forecasted engineering calculations but it is applied to only small buildings like NFPA due to its low reliability.

  • Many enterprises have been adopting management systems good enough for them and operating the schemes to have competitive edge better than their competitor. One of the finest systems that most companies have been selecting is ISO 14001. ISO 14001, environment management system, is widely known as advancing internal efficiency and productivity in the various industries. As a result, the number of companies that have adopted ISO 14001's certification have been increasing continuously year by year since ISO 14000 standard was called in 1994s from ISO 18000 standard that originally used. The purpose of this study is to present that ISO 14001's requirement execution influences on management performance in the small manufacturer. In order to carry out this research, we obtained 96 survey sheets and inspected ten assumptions based on the reliability, validity of the questionnaires. The results of regression analysis are summarized as follows; First, the three factors of ISO 14001 requirement, plan, implementation and operation and management consideration, have an important effect on the operational performance. Second, the three elements of ISO 14001 requirement, environment policy, implementation and operation and management consideration, affect to the financial performance significantly. Based on the results, it is sure that the companies that execute the factors of implementation and operation and management policy have a good performance to achieve operational and financial performance so that it is important to clarify the member's role, authority and follow the procedure by a company's process. Also, the truth shows CEO's continuous will and periodical review of ISO 14001 influence on management performance as well.

  • The systems engineering standard process is intended to be customized for a given project environment and system characteristics. This study describes the experience gained by applying systems engineering to government-funded projects. The characteristics of government funded project are lack of common development process among the participating organizations and mechanism to determine system requirements. This study describes the contents of the systems engineering activities, including development of operational concept, system requirements, verification requirements (test cases), test verification plan, and implementation of system test and lessons learned from these activities.

  • Systems engineering requirement verification model developmetn for High Speed Railway systems in progress is a national large system development program that is not only large-size and complex but also multi-disciplinary in nature. For the High Speed Railway TEP development, verification requirements that could verify system function, performance, and constraint, should be derived from SSS(system Segment specification). Hereafter, this could be referred to as verification requirements. System engineering process establishes traceability between verification requirements and system requirements. These tasks could be accomplished by the schema. using computer-aided Systems Engineering tool(CORE), High Speed Railway program can become a database and other system related to High Speed Railway program will be developed effectively and efficiently.

트리즈 기반 OLED 증착 공정의 글래스 열 변형 개선 (TRIZ-based Improvement of Glass Thermal Deformation in OLED Deposition Process)

  • The global small and mid-sized display market is changing from thin film transistor-liquid crystal display to organic light emitting diode (OLED). Reflecting these market conditions, the domestic and overseas display panel industry is making great effort to innovate OLED technology and incease productivity. However, current OLED production technology has not been able to satisfy the quality requirement levels by customers, as the market demand for OLED is becoming more and more diversified. In addition, as OLED panel production technology levels to satisfy customers' requirement become higher, product quality problems are persistently generated in OLED deposition process. These problems not only decrease the production yield but also cause a second problem of deteriorating productivity. Based on these observations, in this study, we suggest TRIZ-based improvement of defects caused by glass pixel position deformation, which is one of quality deterioration problems in small and medium OLED deposition process. Specifically, we derive various factors affecting the glass pixel position shift by using cause and effect diagram and identify radical reasons by using XY-matrix. As a result, it is confirmed that glass heat distortion due to the high temperature of the OLED deposition process is the most influential factor in the glass pixel position shift. In order to solve the identified factors, we analyzed the cause and mechanism of glass thermal deformation. We suggest an efficient method to minimize glass thermal deformation by applying the improvement plan of facilities using contradiction matrix in TRIZ. We show that the suggested method can decrease the glass temperature change by about 23% through an experiment.

크로스 롤러 가이드 다단 형상인발 공정설계에 관한 연구 (Process Design of Multi-Stage Shape Drawing Process for Cross Roller Guide)

  • In the multi-stage shape drawing process, the most important aspect for the economy is the correct design of the various drawing stage. For most of the products commonly available round or square materials can be used as initial material. However, special products should be pre-rolled. This study proposes a process design method of multi-stage shape drawing process for producing cross roller guide. Firstly, a standard classification of shape drawing process is suggested based on the requirement of pre-rolling process. And a design method is proposed to design the intermediate die shape. The process design method is applied to design the multi-stage shape drawing process for producing cross roller guide. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed design method is verified by FE-analysis and shape drawing experiment.

  • The vessels which are operated in ECA (Emission Control Area) after $1^{st}$ January 2016 shall be complied with revised NOx emission requirement (Tier III). Effective solutions for NOx emission requirement are SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction), EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) and Installation of LNG Dual Fuel Engine. This study is considered the design modification as per application of LNG Ready notation. In case of LNG Ready - S notation, the vessel shall be retrofitted the Main engine with Dual fuel engine and LNG Fuel system after delivery. On this paper, the entire process for design modification was explained to meet the requirement for LNG Ready notation.

  • 공개소프트웨어는 많은 분야에 걸쳐 활용률이 점차 높아지고 있으며, LMS 분야에서도 공개소프트웨어의 활용이 점차 늘고 있다. 단, 공개소프트웨어 LMS를 도입하려면, 기관별 특화 요구사항에 맞추어 연동 과정이 필수적이다. 본 연구에서는 공개소프트웨어 LMS인 무들을 학교에 도입함에 있어 무들과 학사 시스템 간의 사용자 관리와 강좌 관리를 위한 연동 지원 도구를 구현하였고, 무들과 학사 시스템과의 연동 사례를 통해 사용자 및 강좌 정보 연동을 효율적으로 수행하였다.

  • Over the past decade, changes in product development processes and increased consumer demands have dramatically influenced engineering working practices and targets. The information technology revolution has made its appearance concurrent to this relentless escalation in product engineering requirement. It has offered hopes for improved productivity despite these increasing demands. The wide availability of personal computing power, virtually inexhaustible sources of information and an abundance of computerized engineering tools have created great expectations. CAPP (Computer Aided Process Planning) Expert system and database were developed using VB.NET and Microsoft SQL 2000 Server.

  • The automatic train control (ATC) system development project for the Automated Guideway Transit (AGT) system has high technical risk because the system is unmanned train control system using wireless technology which was unprecedented in train control industry of Korea. To overcome the technical risk during concept design phase of the ATC system development project, the integrated product team(IPT) carried out a reverse and reengineering process using a systems engineering design model. The generic systems engineering process is incorporated in the both reverse and reengineering process. As a result of the systems engineering effort, the IPT has built top layer systems engineering design model of the ATC subsystem. The purpose of this paper is to deliver the reverse and reengineering process which was used to develop the systems engineering design model of ATC system using a computer aided systems engineering tool. This study also shows that the model based reverse and reengineering process can reduce the technical risk by identifying the differences of requirement, functional and physical architecture between a reference system and a target system.
