Even large construction projects of nuclear power plant construction and production data is increasing dramatically due to the introduction of ICT technologies, such as 3D scanning technology, wireless communication technology, virtual construction management technology. There are various attributes and types of data to be produced and managed because the documents generated by the contract method are different from the cost processing method. According to the requirements of the international nuclear bid, it is required to present the cost that is calculated based on resource quantity. This research considers ways in which the cost management based on the resource quantity.
It is important that desktop grids should be able to aggressively deal with the dynamic properties that arise from the volatility and heterogeneity of resources. Therefore, it is required that task scheduling be able to positively consider the execution behavior that is characterized by an individual resource. In this paper, we implement a log analysis system with REST web services, which can analyze the execution behavior by utilizing the actual log data of desktop grid systems. To verify the log analysis system, we conducted simulations and showed that the resource group-based task scheduling, based on the analysis of the execution behavior, offers a faster turnaround time than the existing one even if few resources are used.
In many countries, methods to evaluate buildings have been investigated and practiced in order to reduce energy use and search for sustainable architecture while providing comfortable space for the users, in Korea, the current certification system has a short history, and has been improved for better practicability. Among many different factors in the certification system, the water resource problem is an important as the demand has been sharply increasing while reckless use and sewage treatment system causes the reduction of usable water. This study aims to find problems of water usage in building. water resource in the current certification will be used for the analysis of each factor in water resource, and the direction of improvement required in the certification in order to improve the water usage in buildigns will be proposed.
In this paper, we propose a machine learning-based method for supporting resource management of IoT software platforms in a multi-modal sensing scenario. We assume that an IoT device installed with a oneM2M-compatible software platform is connected with various sensors such as PIR, sound, dust, ambient light, ultrasonic, accelerometer, through different embedded system interfaces such as general purpose input output (GPIO), I2C, SPI, USB. Based on a collected dataset including CPU usage and user-defined priority, a machine learning model is trained to estimate the level of nice value required to adjust according to the resource usage patterns. The proposed method is validated by comparing with a rule-based control strategy, showing its practical capability in a multi-modal sensing scenario of IoT devices.

The objective of identifying the cause of inconsistency in determining priority of educational facility maintenance, any related factors were thoroughly identified and tested, to see if it has any effect on decision-making process in resource allocation for educational facilities. On the assumption that 'the more there are to be repaired/maintained and deferred, the higher the relevant cost will be, this will lead to a significant social loss. Accordingly, this study established a framework of determining resource allocation priority based on deferred maintenance and its related expenses. For doing so, it was required to determine relative ranking in terms of resource allocation within a pre-assigned school district, in consideration of the criticality of each deferred maintenance attribute/variable.
Wind turbines should generally be installed at a certain distance from a road to ensure passengers' safety. In Korea, there is no clear guidance as the Ministry of Environment first proposed a road setback distance of 400 m in the Onshore Wind Farm Siting Guidelines draft proposed in July 2012, and then modified it to 1.5 times the height of the wind turbine in October of the same year. This study analyzed the dynamic range of onshore wind resource potential according to how the road setback distance is set using the Korea Wind Atlas with 100m spatial resolution made by the Korea Institute of Energy Research, the transportation network of the Ministry of Construction and Transportation, and the forest road network of the Korea Forestry Service. Owing to the geographical characteristics of Korea, where mountainous terrain accounts for 70% of the total territory, the wind resource potential within 1 km from forest roads are estimated to be 14.3 GW, 14% of Korea's total wind resource potential. In addition, the construction distance of new road for transporting wind turbines from the existing road to a wind farm site is estimated as less than 2 km. Given the limited wind resource potential and geographical constraints, an assessment system that can maximize wind resource utilization and ensure road safety at the same time, and which takes into account the regional characteristics instead of applying the fixed road setback distance across-the-road, is required.
The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy is now placing emphasis on the importance of a new and renewable energy resource map service as an essential means of promoting the dissemination and adoption of renewable energy and other related industrial activities. To raise satisfaction with the new and renewable energy resource map service and promote its utilization, a survey was conducted on a sample group with an academic research background, i.e. employees of the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) who have a thorough understanding of the technological concepts behind the new and renewable energy resource map. Statistical analysis of the survey results showed a high level of overall satisfaction with the web service for the new and renewable energy resource map. Therefore, it was concluded that the development of practical contents rather than the enhancement of web service convenience is required. A statistically significant trend was also observed whereby, the longer the professional career of the survey respondents, the greater their perception and utilization of, and satisfaction with, the enhanced service, which indicates that their level of understanding and utilization of technological concepts corresponds to their research experience record. In addition, the results obtained from the questionnaires regarding the evaluation of the utilization value of the resource map service indicated that use of the service was equally high in terms of political, business and academic applications. The results confirmed the need to develop multidimensional resource map contents that can be applied to as many fields as possible, rather than focusing on a specific terrain.
BIM-based Cloud platform gained popularity coupled with the convergence of Fourth Industrial Revolution technology. However, most of the previous work has not guaranteed sufficient efficiency to meet user requirements according to BIM service. Furthermore, the Cloud environment is only used as a server and it does not consider cloud characteristics. For the processing of High Capacity Data like BIM and using seamless BIM service, Resource management technology is required in the cloud environment. In this paper, to solve the problems, we propose a BIM platform for BaaS and an efficient resource allocation scheme. We also proved the efficiency of resource for the proposed scheme by using existing schemes. By doing this, the proposed scheme looks forward to accelerating the growth of the BaaS through improving the user experience and resource efficiency.
Korea Power Exchange has successfully performed the Long-term Electricity Demand Forecasting. Recently there is a lot of change in electricity industry sector; the national master-plan for green gas emission reducing, rise of smart-grid, and new trend of electricity consumption, and it is becoming painful challenging for demand forecasting. In new circumstance the demand forecasting is required more flexible and more accurate.
In large-scale industry such as shipbuilding, aircraft manufacturing, and construction industry etc., it is required to consider two or three-dimensional spatial availability as one of bottlenecked resource constraints. We call this kind of scheduling a spatial scheduling, which considers the dynamic spatial layouts of objects as well as the traditional resource constraints. Since 1991, we have researched on the spatial scheduling for shipbuilding plant (Lee & Lee, 1992; Lee et al., 1994, Lee et al., 1995). In this paper, we present the various issues of spatial scheduling for the researchers and developers attacking spatial scheduling problems.
