  • This research studied differences in the distribution of maternal attachment representation between divorced and non-divorced low income mothers, associations between their divorce and childhood experiences, and associations between maternal attachment representation and childhood experiences. Subjects were twenty each divorced and still-married women with low socioeconomic status. The Adult Attachment Interview was used to assess their attachment representation resulting in classification by four types; autonomous (F), dismissing (Ds), preoccupied (E), or unresolved/disorganized (Ud). The divorced women had more childhood experiences of being rejected and neglected by their mothers than the non-divorced women. This indicates that maternal childhood experiences were related to maternal attachment representation and divorce.

  • We propose two improved scalar multiplication methods on elliptic curves over $F_{{q}^{n}}$ $q= 2^{m}$ using Frobenius expansion. The scalar multiplication of elliptic curves defined over subfield $F_q$ can be sped up by Frobenius expansion. Previous methods are restricted to the case of a small m. However, when m is small, it is hard to find curves having good cryptographic properties. Our methods are suitable for curves defined over medium-sized fields, that is, $10{\leq}m{\leq}20$. These methods are variants of the conventional multiple-base binary (MBB) method combined with the window method. One of our methods is for a polynomial basis representation with software implementation, and the other is for a normal basis representation with hardware implementation. Our software experiment shows that it is about 10% faster than the MBB method, which also uses Frobenius expansion, and about 20% faster than the Montgomery method, which is the fastest general method in polynomial basis implementation.

  • The Lie algebra of type $F_4$ has the 26 dimensional representation. Its matrix realization can be obtained via 26 by 26 matrices and has a direct useful application to degenerate principal series for p-adic groups of type $F_4$.

  • Simple Lie albegras over algebraically closed field with characteristic p > 7 were classified by H. Strade and R. L. Wilson in 1991 [7]. All modular representations of simple Lie algebras, however, are not classified although some restricted modular representations have been done earlier by Curtis and Steinberg. In connection with this, we would like to decompose basic $sp_4$(F)-modules $sl_4$-(F) and $gl_4$(F) over nonzero characteristic by way of characteristic zero case.

  • When using computer-supported collaborative learning(CSCL) tool where learners with different perspective are discussing in the same place, it is difficult to catch connection between specific position of learning content and written message by learners, share each other knowledge and opinion. This study investigated the phenomena responsible for causing "Un-shared knowledge" by literature research and designed collaborative representation tool based on described principle. A version of the Mediated annotation tool was developed for each problem identified and was subsequently tested by software evaluation standard and F.G.I. Final mediated tool will contribute to overcome knowledge sharing barriers, facilitate communication among students and describe high quality solution.

  • Let B be the open unit ball in the complex space $\mathbb{C}^n$. A holomorphic function $f:B{\rightarrow}C$ which satisfies sup{(1- ${\parallel}\;{\nabla}_zf\;{\parallel}\;{\mid}z{\in}B$} < $+{\infty}$ is called Bloch type function. In this paper, we will find some integral representation of Bloch type functions.

  • This paper considers a classification of the 88 islands located at Kyong-nam area in Korea, using by examples of 12 components of the islands. By means of principal component analysis 2 principle components were extracted, which explained a total of 73.7% of the variance. Using an eigen variable criterion (λ>1), no further principle components were discussed. Principal component 1 and 2 explained 63.4% and 10.3% of the total variance respectively, The representation of the unrelated factor scores along the first and second principal axes produced a new information with respect to the classification of the islands. Based upon the representation, 88 islands were classified into 6 groups i. e. A, B, C, D, E, and F according to similarity of the components among them in this paper. The "Group F" belongs to a miscellaneous assortment that does not fit into the logical category. category.

  • The unique positive zero of $F_m(z):=z^{2m}-z^{m+1}-z^{m-1}-1$ leads to analogues of $2(\array{2n\\k}\)$(k even) by using hypergeometric functions. The minimal polynomials of these analogues are related to Chebyshev polynomials, and the minimal polynomial of an analogue of $2(\array{2n\\k}\)$(k even>2) can be computed by using an analogue of $2(\array{2n\\k}\)$. In this paper we show that the analogue of $2(\array{2n\\2}\)$. In this paper we show that the analygue $2(\array{2n\\2}\)$ is the only real zero of its minimal polynomial, and has a different representation, by using a polynomial of smaller degree than $F_m$(z).

  • Prosody Generation Based on C-ToBI Representation for Text-to-SpeechSeungwon Kim, Yu Zheng, Gary Geunbae Lee, Byeongchang KimProsody modeling is critical in developing text-to-speech (TTS) systems where speech synthesis is used to automatically generate natural speech. In this paper, we present a prosody generation architecture based on Chinese Tone and Break Index (C-ToBI) representation. ToBI is a multi-tier representation system based on linguistic knowledge to transcribe events in an utterance. The TTS system which adopts ToBI as an intermediate representation is known to exhibit higher flexibility, modularity and domain/task portability compared with the direct prosody generation TTS systems. However, the cost of corpus preparation is very expensive for practical-level performance because the ToBI labeled corpus has been manually constructed by many prosody experts and normally requires a large amount of data for accurate statistical prosody modeling. This paper proposes a new method which transcribes the C-ToBI labels automatically in Chinese speech. We model Chinese prosody generation as a classification problem and apply conditional Maximum Entropy (ME) classification to this problem. We empirically verify the usefulness of various natural language and phonology features to make well-integrated features for ME framework.
