  • The ordering organizations of civil engineering project manage the construction site indirectly because the construction site is mostly located at a remote location and the public official also manages many sites. Since the civil engineering project has a wide working area, it is not easy to know the status of the whole project quickly by the indirect management method by report of the field practitioner. In order to solve these problems, the field management system between the ordering organization and the field office is changing from offline to online. This study suggests an advanced construction site management system that obtains site-related 3D information with the use of UAV and shares the information between the construction site in remote locations and their supervising authorities. To develop an UAV application system, the problems of field management in many actual sites were analyzed and derived necessary functions such as status reporting and online information management. The developed system was applied to actual field to verify its usability and compared the efficiency improvement with existing field management method.

  • New trend called ubiquitous leads the recent business by standardization and integration. It should be the main issue how to guarantee the integration and accountability on each business, especially in mission critical system which is mainly supported by M2M (Machine to Machine) control mechanism. This study is from the analysis of digital forensics case study that is from the M2M Sensing Control Mechanism problem of the "Imjin River" case in 2009, where a group of family is swept away to death by water due to M2M control error. The ubiquitous surroundings bring the changes in the field of criminal investigation to real time controls such as M2M systems. The needs of digital forensics on M2M control are increasing on every crime scene but we suffer from the lack of control metrics to get this done efficiently. The court asks for more accurately analyzed results accounting high quality product development design. Investigators in the crime scene need real-time analysis against the crime caused by poor quality of mission critical systems. It seems to be every need of Real-Time-Enterprise, so called ubiquitous society on the case. We try to find the efficiency and productivity in discovering non-functional design defects in M2M convergence products focusing on three metrics in study model with quick implementation. Digital forensics system in present status depends on know-how of each investigator and is hard to expect professional analysis on every field. This study set up a hypothesis "Co-working of professional investigators on each field will qualify Performance and Integrity" especially in mission critical system such as M2M and suggests "Online co-work analysis model" to efficiently detect and prevent mission critical errors in advance. At the conclusion, this study proved the statistical research that was surveyed by digital forensics specialists around M2M crime scene cases with quick implementation of dash board.

  • Seafarers play an important role in shipping and logistics. However, seafarers are relatively vulnerable to mental illness because they have to board ships for a considerable period of time and work in isolation. In particular, in the pandemic situation caused by COVID-19, the crew change is delayed due to the closure of many ports around the world, increasing the mental burden on seafarers. The mental health management of the crew is important because these mental problems can lead to major accidents of lives and ships. This paper identified the necessity of mental health management of seafarers through a survey and identified problems with the currently operated mental health management program and curriculum. Especially, this study proposed VR-based programs to help crews receive mentally counseling treatment in a timely manner and to reduce the mental burden on them by preventing sensitive personal information exposure. Through this, it is expected to contribute to the stable development of the logistics industry by establishing a safe seafarers working environment.

  • This paper proposes the AMCS(Agricultural Machine Control System that distinguishes farms using satellite photos or drone photos of farms and controls the self-driving and operation of farm drones and tractors. The AMCS consists of the LSM(Local Server Module) which separates farm boundaries from sensor data and video image of drones and tractors, reads remote control commands from the main server, and then delivers remote control commands within the management area through the link with drones and tractor sprinklers and the PSM that sets a path for drones and tractors to move from the farm to the farm and to handle work at low cost and high efficiency inside the farm. As a result of AMCS performance analysis proposed in this paper, the PSM showed a performance improvement of about 100% over Dijkstra algorithm when setting the path from external starting point to the farm and a higher working efficiency about 13% than the existing path when setting the path inside the farm. Therefore, the PSM can control tractors and drones more efficiently than conventional methods.

  • The asphalt pavement industry has introduced the warm-mix asphalt (WMA) as a mean of energy saving and environmentally safe technology, because the WMA mixture can be mixed and compacted at 30℃ lower than conventional hot-mix asphalt (HMA) at 160℃ or higher. The implementation of WMA can be a good option for paving operations for rural road in remote place, not only due to energy saving and environmental issues, but also lower working temperature. Using WMA technology, the cooled-down asphalt mixture can be still compacted to meet the quality requirement in narrow winding rural road in remote places. Therefore, this study is designed to evaluate engineering properties of WMA binders and concretes, which were prepared for rural road pavement. The objective of the study was to evaluate and suggest proper fundamental properties level of the WMA concrete for rural road pavement. The kinematic viscosity test result indicated that the WMA binders used in this study were effective for compaction at lower temperature, i.e., at 115℃, compared to the HMA binder. According to strength property analyses, it was found that the WMA concrete was acceptable for rural road pavement even though it was compacted at 30℃ lower level. Since the deformation strength (SD) of 3.2 MPa was found to satisfy rutting and cracking resistance minimum guidelines, this value was suggested as a minimum SD value for rural road pavement, considering lack of maintenance program for rural area.

  • The CFETR multipurpose overload robot (CMOR) is a critical component of the fusion reactor remote handling system. To accurately calculate and visualize the structural deformation and stress characteristics of the CMOR motion process, this paper first establishes a CMOR kinematic model to analyze the unfolding and working process in the vacuum chamber. Then, the dynamic model of CMOR is established using the Lagrangian method, and the rigid-flexible coupling modeling of CMOR links and joints is achieved using the finite element method and the linear spring damping equivalent model. The co-simulation results of the CMOR rigid-flexible coupled model show that when the end load is 2000 kg, the extreme value of the end-effector position error is more than 0.12 m, and the maximum stress value is 1.85 × 108 Pa. To utilize the stress-strain data of CMOR, this paper designs a CMOR morphology prediction control system based on Unity software. Implanting CMOR finite element analysis data into the Unity environment, researchers can monitor the stress strain generated by different motion trajectories of the CMOR robotic arm in the control system. It provides a platform for subsequent research on CMOR error compensation and extreme operation warnings.

  • Supersonic/Hypersonic wind tunnel is a facility which is intended to test and to observe the physical phenomena around a model by creating supersonic flow in the test section. In designing an airplane, the wind tunnel test is demanded to analyzing aerodynamic characteristics of the model without making a prototype. In this research, the model aerodynamic facility(MAF) is modified for the purpose of increasing running time and its functionality. New pneumatic valves for remote control was installed for safety requirement, and new air tanks was installed on MAF as well. A pipe system is also modified to use those new valves and tanks, and the ceiling and side glasses of the test section are switched to ones with the larger surface area. After the MAF modification, a test is performed at Mach 2, 3 and 4. In this test, shadow graph technique, one of the flow visualization methods, is used to visualize supersonic flow field. The pressure in the settling chamber and working section at Mach 2, 3 and 4 was measured in each case. As a result, the possible model size and running time are obtained.
