Tangible Interaction을 활용한 가상현실 콘텐츠 디자인에 관한 연구 (VR Contents Design using Tangible Interaction)

  • 본 연구에서는 비교적 간단한 구현 기술과 저가의 플랫폼으로 가상현실 체험을 해볼 수 있는 콘텐츠를 개발하고자 효과적인 가상현실 경험의 구현 요소를 연구하였으며, 그 요소는 현실감과 몰입감, 환상감의 구현 및 Tangible interaction의 사용으로 요약되었다. 이러한 요소들을 적용하여 경험 디자인 컨셉을 도출하고 상대적 현실감이 높은 실사 비디오 영상의 대화면 프로젝션(projection)과 비전 트레킹(Vision Tracking) 기술을 활용한 플랫폼을 디자인하였으며, Tangible device의 자연스러운 인터렉션을 적용한 가상현실 콘텐츠를 디자인하였다. 디자인 결과물은 전시의 형태로 제시하여 일반 사용자들의 체험 기회를 넓히고자 하였으며, Class Xylophone 2003과 VR Class의 두 가지 사례 연구를 통하여 컨텐츠 및 인터렉션 컨셉의 타당성을 검증하였고 다양한 가상현실 콘텐츠와 그 상업적 활용 가능성을 보여줌으로서 가상현실 분야의 저변 확대에 기여하고자 하였다.

Spectral Sensing for Plant Stress Assessment - A Review -

  • Assessment of nitrogen and chlorophyll content from crop leaves can help growers adjust N fertilizer rates to meet the demands of the crop. Numerous researchers have presented their studies about spectral signature of plant leaves to characterize the plant features. However, interrelational review and summary were limited and a communication gap exists between the plant science and optical engineering. Understanding the mechanism of leaf interaction to electromagnetic radiation and factors affecting spectrophotometric measurements can enhance the foundation of optical remote sensing technologies. This paper provides extensive review of previous works in optical sensing and explains the basics of plant optics, spectral measurements for plant stress, factors that affect sensitivity to spectral analysis, and applications that deploy optical remote sensing technologies.

LQG/LTR을 이용한 Haptic Interface의 강인제어 (Robust Control of a Haptic Interface Using LQG/LTR)

  • A newly designed haptic interface enables an operator to control a remote robot precisely. It transmits position information to the remote robot and feeds back the interaction force from it. A control algorithm of haptic interface has been studied to improve the robustness and stability to uncertain dynamic environments with a proposed contact dynamic model that incorporates human hand dynamics. A simplified hybrid parallel robot dynamic model fur a 6 DOF haptic device was proposed to from a real time control system, which does not include nonlinear components. LQC/LTR scheme was adopted in this paper for the compensation of un-modeled dynamics. The recovery of the farce from the remote robot at the haptic interface was demonstrated through the experiments.

  • A hand controller in teleoperation is a man-machine interface device that provides real-time interaction between a human operator at control site and a slave manipulator at remote site. In this paper, we examine the design issure related to various types of hand controllers in use. Emphasis is placed on bilateral hand controllers and their design parameters. We describe the design of a new 6 degree-of-freedom universal force-reflecting hand controller to control a remote Schilling Titan manipulator. This hand controller allows the operstor to maintain spatial corresponence in remote manipulative operation and fell a sense of contact with the environment. Finally, we demonstrate the graphic simulation of the hand controller to verify its design characteristics.

  • The operation of robot manipulators has a restriction that the operator must reside at the factory, where the manipulator is used. To overcome this restriction, we propose a remote control system using the internet, the system which runs on the Window 95 environment is composed of the remote client which transfers commands to the server which control and manage the manipulator in the factory. In the control of Hong-ik Direct Drive Arm, it is necessary to consider the complex nonlinear parameters causing the mutual interaction between joints, so we use two TMS320C31 DSP chips in the controller for the real time dynamic control algorithms. For the test of system integrity and the verification of the mathematical modeling, we apply CTM, PD and VSS control algorithms and the simulation results are satisfactory.

자계 센서를 이용한 원격 가스 검침 시스템 (Remote gas meter-reading system using magnetic sensor)

  • 본 논문은 자계센서를 이용하여 원격 가스 검침 시스템을 구현하였다. 현재까지 개발되고 있는 스캔 방식은 온도, 습도, 분진, 진동에 영향을 많이 받는다. 이런 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 본 논문은 가스의 유입량에 따라 회전하는 체인지기어의 가장자리에 영구자석을 부착하고, 계량기 몸체의 외벽에 영구자석의 자기장을 측정할 수 있는 홀 소자를 설치하였다. 체인지 기어에 의해 영구자석이 회동하여 홀 소자에 근접할 때 자기장을 검출하고, 그 검출된 신호를 카운트함으로써 가스 사용량을 검침하였다. 이 방식은 온도, 습도, 분진, 진동에 영향을 받지 않았으며, 높은 정확도를 나타내었다.

  • Gidra speaking people living in Wonnie area of western province in Papua New Guinea are traditionally dependent on hunting and gathering. Sago is the main staple food and the vegetation consists of rain forest (Bua) and trees with savannah grass (Yap). The population density is very low and the people are very little affected by modernization. This study is an attempt to look at the people-resource interaction in the area for the past thirty years based on aerial photographs and various satellite data. The study showed the trends of yap versus bua distribution as well as the location of garden and Sago grove areas, which is important for studying the livelihood of the people.

한국인 영아초기 수유시 모아상호작용 행동형태에 관한 현상학적 연구 (A Phenomenological Study on Mother-Infant Interacting Behavior Patterns Related to Newborn Infant Feeding in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study was to describe mother -infant interacting behavior patterns related to newborn infant feeding and to explore the mother's cultural belief about their infant. The data collection was conducted by observation and interview. Twenty-five mothers and their newborn infants who were normally delivered and were also planned to breast feed were comprised as the subjects of this study. All subjects were interviewed and observed individuaily at 1 to 5 days after the delivery at the hospital, mid -wife's clinic, Maternal Child Health Center and their home throughout the country from remote area to big city, The observation data were recorded with symbolic letter on a recording sheet newly developed as a result of preliminary study. The interview data were taperecorded and then recorded in narrative form. Mother - infant interaction behaviors in early feeding period were analyzed based on 19 analytic sub-categories and their composing elements. Unit of analysis were mother, infant and mother -infant dyad. 8 analytic categories draw from the data. Each were preparation, instrument, interaction inducing, evaluation referred to mother's behavior, preparation, instrument, interaction inducing referred to infant's behavior and synchronic behaviors referred to mother - infant dyad. Frequencies of behavior items based on the categories were converted to percent. The result showed that in mother's preparation behavior, the breast condition of Korean mother can be an affecting factor for mother - infant interaction during feeding, and vocalization behavior was observed most frequently in interaction inducing behavior while the least frequent behavior observed was contacting. Subcultural characteristics of mother - infant interaction behaviors were analyzed for their relationships between groups of mothers who have lived in remote area vs urban area, and who were multipara vs primipara. Using a chi -square test, there were statistically significant relationships in the activity of psychological readiness in preparation behavior and the movement of extremities for the position of instrumental behavior in both groups. However, interaction inducing behaviors were not related with statistical significance in any set of groups. Accomplishment of marriage, bonding and emotional mediation of family members were the categories related to mother's cultural belief about the infant in aspect of functional values. Infant at birth is considered little more than a biological organism without social capabilities. Although the newborn infant is still be attached to his mother, he makes his mother extend her territoriality. The mother's interacting behavior toward her infant based on those beliefs appeared task oriented, separative behavioral series. On the other hand, it was seen that infant reacted independently to his mother's behavior by the in-nate perceptual abilities. Those independent behavioral series of mother and infant on the feeding situation were synchronized at any moment. Nurses are In a unique position to teach mothers about their infant's capabilities and help reducing some of uncertainty about infant's behaviors. Study results indicated that the informations infant's social capabilities and breast feeding should be given to the mothers. The results of this study have several implications for nursing. First, the study results will be used as fundamental resources for the development of the assessment tool about the early mother - infant interaction. Second, the results could be a relevant information in the fied. I of maternal child nursing education as real and useful data. Third, the behavioral patterns of early mother - infant interaction which were classified based on the qualitative analysis could be used for nursing theory development as very fundamental data.

수압파쇄 설계를 위한 수치해석기법의 증명 -해석식과의 비교를 중심으로 - (Verification of Numerical Technique for Hydraulic Fracturing Stimulation - by Comparison with Analytical Solutions -)

  • 수압파쇄기술은 가스나 석유, 지열 등 자원추출을 하기 위해 다양한 분야에서 전세계적으로 응용되고 있는 기술이다. 이러한 수압파쇄 작업 시 복수의 균열이 필수적으로 발생하여 균열간 기계적인 상호작용을 유발하는데 이러한 상호작용은 수압파쇄시 얻어질 수 있는 결과(균열 폭, 균열 길이, 보어홀 내 압력)에 큰 영향을 끼치게 된다. 수치해석기법인 경계병치법은 이러한 균열간의 역학적 상호작용을 고려하는데 유효한 수치해석적 기법으로 개발이 되고 있으나 응력확대계수를 계산하는 해석식과의 비교 등을 통한 검증이 필요하다. 이를 위해 무한평면에 일축 인장 응력과 전단응력이 작용하는 단일균열의 경우 및 임의의 두 균열이 존재하는 경우의 응력확대계수 및 균열폭 해석식과 본 수치해석기법을 통해 얻은 값을 비교하였다. 그 결과, 본 연구에서 제시한 경계병치법은 해석식과 상당히 근접한 결과를 나타내어, 균열간의 기계적인 상호작용을 고려하는데 유효함을 검증하였으며, 추후 수압파쇄 시 설계에 필요한 균열폭 등의 변수를 계산하는데 사용할 수 있음을 나타내었다.

웹 서비스 기반 URC 로봇 원격 모니터링 기술의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of Remote Monitoring Technology based-on Web-Service for URC Robot)

  • 본 논문에서는 웹 서비스 기술을 적용한 새로운 URC 로봇 원격 제어 및 모니터링 기법을 제안한다. URC 로봇은 유비쿼터스 환경에서 외부 세계와의 다양한 인터페이스를 지원하기 위하여 이 기종 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어 플랫폼에 두루 적용될 수 있는 구조가 요구된다. 본 논문에서 웹 서비스 기술을 임베디드 환경에 최적화하고, 외부 응용 에이전트들과 상호 작용을 지원 할 수 있는 웹 서비스 기반의 로봇 원격 제어 방법을 설계 및 구현한다. 본 연구의 결과는 시뮬레이션을 거쳐 URC 로봇인 NETTORO에 탑재 및 운용하여 실용적 가치를 검증하였다.
