Two receiving systems were established at the Asian Center for Research on Remote Sensing (ACRoRS) to receive remote sensing data from NOAA AVHRR and Terra/Aqua MODIS sensors in October 1997 and May 2001, respectively. The data, which has been received in the research center, are very important to support and promote the remote sensing research activities for global environmental issues in Asia. Since the day of the establishment, many research and applications, which used these data, have been conducted. The data sets have been provided to researchers and users in many countries in the region to conduct research, to strengthen the research collaboration and education.

This growth if WWW(World Wide Web) with the spread of ADSL provides us with a variety of service that are the extensions of opportunities to get information. a various education methods by remote courses and electronic commerce. Remote Monitoring Server(RMS) that uses internet and WWW is constructed for chip mounter. Hardware base consists of RMS, chip mounter and C/S server. In this paper, we realize the remote management system with monitoring and diagnosis function to efficiently operate chip mounter the one of PCB assembly equipment. The remote management system for chip mounter consists of RMS(Remote Monitoring Server) and C/S server. RMS manages real-time information from chip mounter through TCP/IP. RMS that utilizes real-time information informs user of the actual output the operation status of chip mounter, user of the actual output, the operation status of chip mounter, the trouble code and the trouble description.

As the structure and operation method of MASS(Maritime Autonomous Surface Ship) are discussed accroding to the IMO degree, the interest and necessity for remote operators who manage and supervise the operation of MASS are increasing gradually. The form of MASS operation is clearly accompanied by various changes including new technologies and equipment in comparison with the current operation of ship. In IMO Degree 2 and 3, the capabilities that remote operators who will operate them must differ from those of existing seafarers(navigation officers, engineers and ratings). Regarding this remote operation, the NI(Nautical Institute) is the first in the world to present a syllabus and a curriculum of qualification for remote operator. Based on this, the paper introduces and compares the education model of MASS remote control operation and NI model, and further uses it as basic data for the creation of curriculum for future MASS remote operator.

가상공간 즉 웹상에서 가상 실험실을 개발하여 공학 실험교육을 수행하려는 시도가 많이 이루어지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 가상교육의 현실성 부족이라는 문제점의 해결책으로 실시간 원격실험실을 제안하고 구현하였다. 원격실험실은 실험실험 관련 회로 및 장비를 웹상에서 원격 제어하여 실험을 하며, 그 결과 데이터 및 영상 정보를 되돌려 받을 수 있도록 하는 기능을 제공하여 학습자로 하여금 시간과 장소에 구애 없이 현장감 있는 실험학습을 수행할 수 있도록 설계 구현되었다. 서버 클라이언트 환경에서 개방형 JAVA WEB START 기술, FTP 기술, TELNET 기술 등 인터넷 활용 기술을 기반으로 하는 본 논문의 원격 실험실 모듈은 저렴한 비용으로 구현할 수 있고, 실시간 하드웨어 제어와 관련된 다양한 분야의 공학실험교육에 효과적으로 적용할 수 있을 것이다.

동료평가는 학습자 중심의 평가로서, 평가를 통해 학습자간의 상호작용이 활발하게 일어나며, 교사 주도의 일방적인 평가보다 동료 학생들에 의한 평가가 학습자들에게 더 많은 영향을 미치게 된다. 본 연구에서는 초등학교 4학년 사회과를 중심으로 원격응답기를 활용한 수행평가 모형과 수행평가 과제를 개발하고, 실제 수업에 학생참여 수행평가를 적용하여 학생들의 학업성취도 및 학습태도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보았다. 연구를 통해 나타난 결과는 다음과 같다. 원격응답기를 활용한 학생참여 수행평가는 사회과 학업성취도와 학습태도 향상에 긍정적인 영향을 주었으며 통계적으로 유의미한 결과를 나타냈다. 또한 원격응답기를 활용하여 학생참여 수행평가 후 학생들의 반응을 조사한 결과 교수.학습 과정에서 학생들의 학업 수행에도 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

초창기 원격교육은 단순히 현장강의를 녹화하는 방식을 사용하였으나 최근의 원격교육은 학습 효율을 극대화할 수 있는 추가적인 기능을 제공하는데 주력하고 있다. 텍스트, 그래픽, 사운드, 애니메이션 등 멀티미디어 정보의 활용은 이러한 추가적인 기능을 부여하는데 필수적인 요소로 간주된다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 멀티미디어 정보 활용은 물론, 특히 실행파일 시연 기능을 수행할 수 있는 인코더/디코더를 설계하고 구현하고자 한다. 이 기능에 의해 교수자로서는 강의도중 필요한 모든 종류의 실행파일 또는 응용 프로그램 데이터 파일을 자유로이 시연할 수 있으며, 학습자 역시 스스로 해당 실행파일을 자유로이 실행해 봄으로써 상대적으로 높은 학습효과를 성취할 수 있다.

- Abstract - Objectives: The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the characteristics of which laypersons want the cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR) education. Methods: Based on a health survey(ｎ=913) of 5 remote places in Korea, tests of the differences between the group that wants the CPR education(ｎ=416) and the group that doesn't(ｎ=497), and a logistic regression analysis of two groups was performed on socio-economic status and health-medical conditions. Results: Even the participation rate of the CPR education in Korea is only 5.8%, which is extremely lower than other developed countries, there are statistically significant differences between the group that wants the CPR and the group that doesn't on gender(ｐ=0.001), age(ｐ=0.000), education level(ｐ=0.000), economic status(ｐ=0.007), and CPR education taken(ｐ=0.000), and health status(ｐ=0.042). Furthermore, age(OR=1.599, ｐ=0.002), age(OR=0.964, ｐ=0.000), economic status(OR=0.804, ｐ=0.028), and CPR education taken(OR=2.072, ｐ=0.026) are statistically significant factors on the willingness to receive the CPR education. Conclusions: This study indicates that there is considerable variation in socio-economic status and health-medical conditions associated with the willingness to receive the CPR education. In remote places. certain subgroups of laypersons such as high-risk patients and family members need targeted outreach programs in CPR education.

Web을 이용한 컴퓨터기반의 학습은 교육을 위한 유용한 적용방법이다. 이런 방법은 애니메이션과 상호작용을 통해 제공되어 지고 복잡한 설비들은 교본을 통해 쉽게 학습할 수 없다. 웹/인터넷이 가능한 응용문제들은 원격지에서 제어되고 모니터링 될 수 있으므로 전 세계 원격지 대학, 연구소 또는 회사에서 다양한 방법으로 충분히 사용된다. 컴퓨터와 전자기술의 결합을 통한 저가의 하드웨어 개발은 이전에 비해 웹/인터넷 기반기술의 발전을 통해 특별히 교육기관을 위해 만들어졌다. 따라서 이런 분야에 적합한 기술개발은 광범위한 웹기반 교육의 확장과 이를 위한 기술개발 적절한 투자가 필수적이다. 원격 가상계측기의 응용은 실험을 통해 검증되어져야 하며 공학도를 위해 실험이 가능할 수 있도록 적용되어야 한다.

인터넷을 기반으로 한 원격지 학급간 협동 학습 시스템은 원격지 학급을 연결하는 매칭 시스템, 다양한 보상 체계와 상호 작용으로 실질적인 협동 학습이 이루어질 수 있도록 한 커뮤니티 시스템, 개인이나 모둠 및 학습실의 학습 성취도를 평가하고 학습 결과물을 공유할 수 있는 리포트 시스템으로 구성하였다. 특히 협동 학습 과정을 사전 준비 단계, 모둠 구성 단계, 상호 작용 단계, 결과 협의 단계, 평가 정리 단계로 구분하여 시스템에 적용시켰다. 이 시스템은 다양한 상호 작용과 책임 있는 모둠 활동을 제공하므로 교사는 자연스럽게 ICT 활용 교육에 자신감을 갖게 되고, 학생은 정보화 사회에 필요한 기초적인 ICT와 공동체 의식 습득할 것이다.
