IT컨설팅에서 인지적 신뢰와 정서적 신뢰에 관한 연구 (Cognitive and Affective Trust in IT Consulting Service)

  • IT consulting is becoming a norm rather than exception in this age of smart work and information revolution. As IT consulting is one of the knowledge intensive services requiring high credence on both sides, maintaining a good trustful relationship is critical in sustenance of strategic partnership between business firms and IT service firms. Trust is known to be one of the salient constructs in service relationships. In this study, building from the social psychology literature, trust is conceptualized as two dimensions : cognitive and affective trust. Using two dimensions of trust as mediators, a research model is constructed for IT consulting specific context : relationship continuance intention as the dependent construct while expertise, service performance, reputation, relationship satisfaction and value similarity as antecedents of cognitive and affective trust. 145 data points were collected through a survey of IT service client project managers retrospectively asking their experience with IT consultants. Findings suggest that cognitive trust is associated with perceived level of expertise and service performance while affective trust with relationship satisfaction and value similarity, respectively. Interestingly, the paths from reputation are found to be statistically insignificant towards both dimensions of trust, indicating IT service context would be more practically outcome oriented than any other professional service context. Also, cognitive trust seems to maintain stronger influence on relationship continuance intention as anticipated. Implications and limitations are discussed at the end.

항공사 기내서비스품질, 고객가치, 관계유지의도의 영향 관계 -상위클래스 이용 승객을 대상으로- (A Study on the Effect Between Cabin Service Quality, Customer Value and Relationship Retention Intention in Airline -Focus on the upper-class seats customers-)

  • 본 연구는 항공기 상위클래스를 이용하는 고객의 기내서비스에 대한 서비스품질과 고객가치 및 관계유지의도와의 영향 관계를 규명하고자 함에 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 기내서비스품질을 물적 서비스품질과 인적 서비스품질요인으로 선정하였고 고객가치를 매개변수로 종속변수인 관계유지의도간의 인과관계를 나타내는 연구모형과 연구가설을 설정하였다. 분석결과, 항공기 상위클래스 물적 서비스품질요인과 인적 서비스품질요인 모두 고객가치와 관계유지의도에 유의한 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 상위클래스 서비스품질에 대한 고객의 가치는 관계유지의도에 정(+)의 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타나 해당 항공사와 지속적인 관계를 유지할 가능성이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과에 의해 항공기 상위클래스를 이용하는 상용고객의 로열티 확보와 선호도 등을 파악하여 고객이 특별함을 느끼게 하는 서비스전략이 필요하며 항공사는 조직의 내부점검과 고객감동의 가치실현을 위해 승무원 서비스교육에 투자와 정성이 요구된다.

스포츠 의류브랜드의 고객자산과 고객만족과의 관계연구 (A Study on Relationship between Customer Equity and Customer Satisfaction of Sports Fashion Brands)

  • The purpose of this research were 1) to identify the distribution of customer equity about sports fashion brands, 2) to identify the dimensions of fashion brand attributes influencing customer satisfaction and customer equity, and 3) to investigate relationships among sports fashion attributes, customer satisfaction and customer equity. Survey questionnaire was used to collect data and 900 responses were used for the data analysis. Descriptive statistics(i.e., frequency, percentage), factor analysis and multiple regression analysis were used for the data analysis. The results of this study were as following. First, 67.4%(i.e., outdoor sports brands) of customer equity distributes under 1 million won while 61.3%(i.e., general sports brand) and 54.3%(i.e., golf brands) distributes. Second, the sportswear brand dimensions consist of 6 factors, product quality value, convenience value, perceived value, unique brand image, trust relationship, and personalized relationship. Third, the higher the product quality value, perceived value, unique brand image, and trust relationship were, the higher customer satisfaction was. Fourth, the higher customer satisfaction was, the higher customer equity was.

The Effect of Corporate CSV Activities on Prosocial Consumer Behavior through Emotional Factors

  • Purpose - The objective of this research is to investigate not only the effect of a company creating shared value (CSV) influencing consumers' emotions that lead to prosocial consumer behavior but also the moderating effect of Companies' authenticity in the causal relationship between economic or social value of CSV and either gratitude or pride of consumers. Research design, data, methodology - The 9 hypotheses presenting the relationship among CSV, consumer's emotion and prosocial consumer behavior were proposed and tested in this study. Research data were collected from the surveying of 350 respondents over 20 years and the 340 samples were used to test the proposed hypotheses. SPSS 20.0 and AMOS 20.0 were used for statistical analysis such as reliability test, validity test and path analysis. Results - The results show that the economic or social value of corporate CSV activities affects positively consumer's gratitude or pride except for the relationship between social value of CSV and consumer's pride. The results also show that gratitude or pride of consumers affects positively consumers' prosocial behavior. We also found that there is a moderating effect of Companies' authenticity in the causal relationship between economic or social value of CSV and either gratitude or pride of consumers. Conclusions - Company's activities in creating shared value influences consumer emotions and pride, and although these activities induce gratitude, this does not apply to pride. In addition, when these shared value activities influence consumer emotions, the authenticity of the company has shown to have a moderating effect.

Exploring the Relationship between Foreign Ownership, Innovation and Firm Value: A Korean Perspective

  • Purpose - This paper's purpose is to investigate how foreign ownership and innovation affect firm value. Design/methodology - Firm innovation is defined as operational efficiency, which is calculated by adopting data envelopment analysis (DEA). Additionally, R&D intensity is included as a measure of innovation in the analysis. We used firm-level data from manufacturing companies in Korea. The sample comprised 3,753 firm-year observations for every year in the period 2003-2017. Findings - We found that foreign ownership and innovation are positively related to firm value (Tobin's Q). Foreign ownership moderates innovation's contribution to firm value, implying that foreign ownership may enhance the value relevance of firm innovation. In addition, we found that firm innovation partially mediates the relationship between foreign ownership and firm value. Originality/value - This highlights the important role of foreign investors' monitoring; wherein foreign investors enhance firm value by facilitating firm innovation. Our results suggest that foreign ownership can be crucial for innovation and may serve to address weak ownership structures.

ESG Performance and Corporate Value: Evidence from Korean IT Companies

  • Due to the growing importance of ESG management, various studies have been conducted to explore the relationship between ESG performance and corporate value. The purpose of this study is to investigate how a company's ESG performance impacts its corporate value. The research findings indicate that there is difficulty in explaining the relationship between ESG performance of Korean IT companies and firm value in a straightforward manner. However, the results demonstrate that companies with higher profitability, higher foreign ownership, and higher R&D expenditure tend to have a positive impact of ESG ratings on corporate value. Based on these results, we can infer that Korean IT companies can enhance their corporate value by increasing R&D investments to develop innovative products that improve profitability. Additionally, attracting higher foreign investments can also positively influence ESG performance and subsequently increase corporate value. Acknowledging these factors can help companies realize the significance of ESG performance in elevating their overall corporate value.

Auction Experience, Category Knowledge and Trust in eBay Stamp Auctions

  • We empirically examine the impact of online auction knowledge and category-specific knowledge on the final price of online auctions. Specifically, we question how the relationship between buying and selling experiences affects the final prices of online auctions. Related to the trust between buyers and sellers, we examine the multiple interactions between a buyer-seller pairand aim to identify how these repeated transactions influence the final price. To contrast these effects with other product related factors, we focus on so called 'common value' auctions of vintage stamps on eBay, in which the ex-post value of the product is the same among participating agents’ perceived value. Online auction of stamps provides a representative setting to examine the relationship between market experience and the auction participation behavior in the common value auction, as it provides the book value of stamp as well as price variation across individual buyers with different expertise levels. Our analysis of over 3000 stamps auctions on eBay indicates a significantly high frequency of buyer-seller (pair) interactions, thus suggesting a 'relationship view' of auctions. The work validates five hypotheses derived from the existing theory in economics, marketing, and information systems. Through the common-value auction data, we find that seller's online auction experience and category-specific experience favor sellers by increasing the final price. However, buyer's online auction experience does not affect the final price, but buyer's category-specific experience favors buyers by decreasing the final price. We find that the trust between two trading parties increases the final price.

A Study on the Customer Value of Airline's SNS: Focused on Improving Customer Satisfaction by Customer Value Type

  • Purpose - The research was conducted to understand how the values of customers using airline SNS affects customer satisfaction and trust. By finding out which characteristics of customer values lead to customer satisfaction and gaining trust, research concludes with suggestions for various airlines to utilize such characteristics to maintain customers through SNS. Research design, data, and methodology - The data were collected from May to July 2020 for two months from the people who used SNS operated by domestic airlines. 342 samples were selected and used as final samples for the study. Result - The results of the relationship between customers' values and customer satisfaction amongst those who use airlines' SNS show that practical, pleasure and social components all have a positive effect on customer satisfaction. The relationship between customers' values and customer trust amongst those who use airlines' SNS show that practical and pleasure components have a positive effect on customer trust while social component didn't yield a positive impact on customer trust. Conclusion - Identifying and understanding SNS users' value structure and providing specific guidelines for customer value components can help demonstrate the causal relationship between customer value components, customer satisfaction, and trust. Also, evidence of applicable customer value theory could be provided.

특수체육활동프로그램 참여 부모의 프로그램 가치, 서비스품질, 만족도의 관계 (Relationship between program value, service quality, and satisfaction of parents participating in adapted physical activity)

  • 본 연구는 목적은 특수체육활동에 참여하는 부모의 프로그램 가치 인식, 서비스품질, 서비스만족의 관계를 검증하고 규명하는데 있다. 이를 위해 수도권 소재 장애인 복지시설 및 사설특수체육기관에서 프로그램에 참여하는 부모를 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사는 연구자가 직접 방문하였으며, 수집되어 분석에 이용된 자료는 236부이다. 수집된 자료는 서술통계, 요인분석과 신뢰도분석 그리고 상관분석과 회귀분석을 통하여 인과관계를 검증하였다. 분석 결과 다음과 같은 결론을 얻었다. 첫째, 프로그램 가치 인식과 서비스 품질의 관계에서 유형성, 신뢰성, 공감성, 보증성에서 유의미한 영향력을 나타내었다. 둘째, 프로그램 가치 인식과 서비스 만족의 관계에서 이용만족, 성과만족에서 유의미한 영향력을 나타내었다. 셋째, 서비스품질과 서비스 만족의 관계에서 이용만족, 성과만족에서 유의미한 영향력을 나타내었다.

기업의 재무적 특성변수가 R&D 투자와 기업가치간의 관계에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Financial Characteristics on the Relationship between R&D Investment and Firm Value)

  • 본 연구는 2000년부터 2010년까지 한국거래소의 유가증권시장과 코스닥시장에 상장된 기업을 대상으로 기업의 재무적 특성변수가 R&D 투자와 기업가치간의 관계에 미치는 영향을 실증분석 하였으며, 주요한 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 기업규모는 R&D 투자와 기업가치간의 관계에 양(+)의 영향을 미친다. 이는 R&D 투자는 중소기업보다 대기업의 기업가치에 더 큰 영향을 미침을 의미한다. 기업의 잉여현금흐름은 R&D 투자와 기업가치간의 관계에 음(-)의 영향을 미친다. 이는 잉여현금흐름이 높은 기업은 순현재가치(NPV)가 음(-)인 투자안에 여유자금을 투자할 과잉투자위험이 존재한다는 Jensen(1986)의 이론을 지지한다. 기업의 시장점유율은 R&D 투자와 기업가치간의 관계에 양(+)의 영향을 미친다. 시장점유율과 R&D 투자는 상호보완적으로 작용하므로, 시장점유율이 높은 기업은 R&D 투자도 증가하여 시장가치가 증가한다. 기업의 외부금융 의존도는 R&D 투자와 기업가치간의 관계에 음(-)의 영향을 미친다. R&D 투자는 비대칭정보로 인한 역선택비용을 크게 발생시키므로, 외부금융에 의존하기보다 내부금융을 사용하는 것이 더 유리할 수 있다. 그리고 기업의 노동집약도와 자본집약도는 각각 R&D 투자와 기업가치간의 관계에 음(-)의 영향을 미치는데, 전자는 노동집약도가 높은 기업일수록 종업원들 간에 초과수익률이 희석될 가능성이 높기 때문이고, 후자는 자본집약도가 높은 기업일수록 재무적 제약에 직면할 가능성이 높기 때문이다. 결론적으로, 본 연구에서 설정한 기업의 재무적 특성변수 중에서, 기업규모와 시장점유율은 R&D 투자와 기업가치간의 관계에 양(+)의 영향을 미치지만, 잉여현금흐름, 외부금융의존도, 노동집약도 및 자본집약도는 음(-)의 영향을 미친다. 따라서 기업 경영자들은 이러한 재무적 특성변수들이 R&D 투자와 기업가치간의 관계에 미치는 영향을 올바르게 이해하여 R&D 투자를 결정함으로써 기업가치를 증가시킬 수 있다.
