외식업체 유형별 관계마케팅 활동 요인의 차이에 대한 연구 (A Study on Difference of Relationship Marketing Factors by Type of Restaurants)

  • This study was to examine what factors of Relationship marketing are in Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and American. The seven factors of relationship marketing consist of facilities/atmosphere, convenience, level of factors, customer-contact service, communication service, relevance of price, customer benefits. The empirical results and implications are as follows. First, the facilities/atmosphere, relevance of price in Korean restaurants convenience, level of food in Chinese customer-contact service, level of flood in American restaurants were high. Second, among activities of relationship marketing, facilities/atmosphere, convenience, level of food, relevance of price were significant higher in Korean restaurants than in others, and customer-contact service, communication a7vi7e, customer benefits were significant higher in American restaurants than in others.

특급호텔 서비스를 이용하는 VIP 고객 관점에서의 CRM 관계편익에 관한 연구 : 일반 고객과의 비교를 중심으로 (Does Customer Relationship Management for VIP Customers Affect Repurchase and Positive WOM in Premium Hotels?)

  • "Does CRM benefit affect repurchase or WOM? What is difference between VIP customers and non-VIP customers on CRM benefit?" is the interesting issue on premium industry such as a hotel business. This study examines how social benefit, psychological benefits, economic benefits and customization benefits affect repurchase and positive WOM in premium hotel. Only three of the four benefits showed significant results in repurchase and positive WOM. Also interactions between customer type and benefits were different in repurchase and WOM. The results figure out that VIP customers depend on psychological benefits and customization benefits on repurchase, whereas VIP customers depend on only social benefit on WOM. This finding suggests that hotels need to develop VIP program and approach differently to increase the repurchase volume or positive WOM effect.

의류상품 구매고객과 판매원간 관계효익과 신뢰 및 관계몰입이 관계지속의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Relationship Benefit, Trust and Commitment on Relationship Continuity Intention Between Apparel Purchaser and Salesperson)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate how relationship benefit affect trust and commitment, and how trust and commitment affect relationship continuity intention between apparel purchaser and salesperson. For the research, it was surveyed to 230 females in their 20's, who lives in Seoul and Kyeonggi on Feb 10th to 15th in 2007. With SPSS 11.0 program, the data was analysed by frequency analysis, reliability analysis, factor analysis and multiple regression analysis. The results are as follows: First, regarding to the results of factor analysis on relationship benefit, trust and commitment, the relationship benefit factor was divided into the social, psychological and economic benefits. The trust factor was divided into the professional and considerable trust, and the commitment factor was divided into the emotional and calculative commitment. Second, as investigating how relationship benefit affect trust and commitment during purchasing apparel, social and psychological benefits affected professional trust. The psychological benefit only affected to considerable trust. Also social and psychological benefit were statically affected to emotional commitment, economic benefit and psychological benefit were affected to calculative commitment. Third, relationship continuity intention was affected to professional and considerable trust, and emotional commitment.

Degree of Internationalization and Performance of High-tech Small and Medium-sized Enterprises: Evidence from Korea

  • Purpose - In this study, we explore the relationship between the degree of internationalization (DOI) and firm performance (DOI-P) of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the manufacturing sector. Specifically, we investigate whether the costs and benefits dynamics concerning the internationalization of SMEs differ between high-tech and non-high-tech industries. Design/methodology - We extend the prior literature on this relationship by employing 5-year data on 589 Korean SMEs in the manufacturing sector and examining the moderating impact of the industry characteristics. Our findings reveal a U-shaped relationship between the DOI and SME performance. High-tech SMEs demonstrate an inverted U-shaped relationship, whereas non-hightech SMEs exhibit a U-shaped relationship. Findings - Our findings illustrate the importance of the industry factor in testing the performance impact of the internationalization of Korean SMEs. By incorporating industry dynamics, our results indicate that the DOI-P relationship depends on the context of the industry in which an SME operates. High-tech SMEs also display a higher DOI but are outperformed by non-high-tech SMEs for the entire internationalization path, which implies that high-tech SMEs face more challenges than non-high-tech SMEs while seeking internationalization. Originality/value - The findings strongly validate that significant benefits exist for SMEs undertaking internationalization. We also employ the contextual framework contributing to increasing the understanding of the intrinsic value of internationalization and resolving the mixed results issue on the DOI-P relationship, by illustrating that the industry factor leads to different dynamics of costs and benefits of SME internationalization; it also determines the shape and direction of the relationship.

침구의 추구혜택과 소비자 특성: 라이프스타일과 인구통계학적 변인을 중심으로 (The Benefits Sought for the Bedding and Consumers' Characteristics: Focus on the Lifestyle and Demographic Characteristics)

  • This study investigates the benefits consumers seek in buying and using bedding, sub-dimensions of lifestyle, and the relationship between those of the benefits and the dimensions of lifestyle. This study conducted a survey to verify benefits consumers seek in buying bedding. A questionnaire was developed to collect data to measure lifestyle, benefits sought for the bedding, and demographic variables. Research was conducted on married women aged between 20 and 59. Total 294 responses were analyzed using factor analysis, correlation analysis, t-test, and one-way ANOVA with SPSS 18.0. A factor analysis identified three dimensions of benefits sought for the bedding: utilitarian benefits, social benefit, and aesthetic benefit. Lifestyle consists of five dimensions: health seeking, social symbol seeking, leisure/country-living seeking, aesthetics seeking, and economy seeking. All dimensions underlying benefits consumers seek in buying bedding and all dimensions of lifestyle were correlated. As consumers get older, they tend to seek more utilitarian and social/psychological benefits of bedding.

패밀리 레스토랑이 제공하는 관계 효익이 고객 만족과 장기관계지향성에 미치는 구조적 관계연구 (Research on Structural Relationship between the Relational Benefits Provided by Casual Dining Restaurants and Customer Satisfaction and Long-term Relationship Orientation)

  • 본 연구는 기존 선행 연구의 이론적, 실증적 결과를 토대로 관계 효익이 만족과 장기적인 관계에 미치는 영향을 토대로 가설과 연구모델을 설정하고, 패밀리 레스토랑 방문객을 대상으로 구조방정식 모델을 분석하여, 연구모델을 평가하고 마케팅적인 시사점을 제공하는데 목적이 있다. 첫째, 외식 소비자가 느끼는 관계 효익 중본 연구에서 요인으로 사용된 사회적 요인과 심리적 요인은 모두 만족에 영향을 주는 것으로 조사되었다. 둘째, 외식 소비자의 만족도 고객이 레스토랑에 대한 장기지향적 관계를 유지하는데 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 다시 말하면 이처럼 레스토랑에 대한 소비자의 만족이 높을수록 구전이나 재방문 의도가 높아지는 것으로 나타나 여러 선행 연구들의 결과를 지지함을 보여주었다. 연구결과의 간접효과에서도 입증되었듯이 외식 소비자가 느끼는 이러한 사회적 효익과 심리적 효익은 레스토랑의 장기적 관계지향에 강력한 영향력을 미치며, 만족은 이러한 영향을 미치는 중요한 매개 변수임을 보여주었다. 결과적으로 가격 할인이나 사은품, 쿠폰과 같은 경제적인 이익보다는 종업원과의 친밀감, 심리적 안정감과 불안감의 해소 등의 사회적, 심리적 효익을 우선하는 것으로 파악되어 종사원에 대한 고객 응대가 무엇보다도 중요한 사안으로 대두된다. 따라서 종사원의 채용에서 부터 지속적인 서비스 교육과 지식 교육을 통해 고객의 요구에 즉각적이고 융통성 있게 대응하여 고객 만족에 힘써야 할 것이다.

영업사원-고객 간 관계의 질이 고객의 동반이탈에 미치는 영향: 관계혜택과 전환비용의 역할 (The Effects of Relationship Quality on Customer Defection Following Salesperson Turnover: The Role of Relational Benefits and Switching Costs)

  • 본 연구는 영업사원-고객간 관계에서 영업사원과 고객간의 관계특성이 영업사원 이직에 따른 고객의 동반이탈의도에 미치는 영향을 검증하고 있다. 본 연구는 동반이탈의 선행변수로 관계마케팅에서의 핵심 개념인 관계의 질, 즉 영업사원에 대한 고객만족, 고객신뢰, 고객충성도와 함께 사회교환이론에서의 관계혜택과 전환비용을 다루고 있다. 국내 생명보험회사를 대상으로 보험계약에서 영업사원을 통해 가입한 503명의 고객으로부터 서베이 방식으로 수집한 자료를 실증분석한 결과, 영업사원에 대한 고객만족과 고객신뢰가 영업사원에 대한 고객충성도에는 강한 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었으나 동반이탈에는 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 고객의 영업사원에 대한 충성도가 지각된 관계혜택에 미치는 영향은 모두 유의하였으며 또한 지각된 전환비용에 미치는 영향도 유의한 것으로 나타났다. 고객의 영업사원에 대한 충성도가 동반이탈의도에 미치는 직접효과는 유의하지 않았으나 지각된 관계혜택과 지각된 전환비용을 통한 간접효과는 유의하게 나타났다. 지각된 관계혜택의 세 가지 하위차원은 모두 동반이탈의도에 정(+)의 유의적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 지각된 전환비용은 동반이탈의도에 부(-)의 유의적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 추가분석을 통하여 경쟁모델과 연구모델을 비교하여 기존 연구와의 차이를 밝히고 있으며, 분석 결과를 토대로 이론 및 경영상의 시사점을 제시하고 있다.

Effects of Market Diversity on Performance of Exporting Companies: An Inverted U-shaped Relationship

  • Purpose - The principle aim of this study is to further investigate the relationship between market diversity and export performance. We examine the benefits and costs of geographic market diversity regarding the number of countries exported to by firms on their export performance. Based on the financial risk reduction model and the entry costs model, we propose a way to incorporate the costs and benefits aspects of market diversity. Design/methodology - To empirically investigate our research question, the curvilinear relationship between market diversity and export performance, we built a secondary panel data set between 2015 and 2019, containing 17,863 observations of Korean exporting companies. A generalized least squares panel estimator with fixed effects was employed to test the hypothesis, and the statistical package, Stata 14, was used. Findings - Our main findings are as follows: As market diversity increases, export performance increases because exporters can diversify and reduce financial risks in export markets. However, the relationship between the two does not grow. As it peaks, the entry costs increase due to the high market diversity, thereby outweighing the benefits, leading, eventually to decrease in the export performance. Consequently, there is an inverted U-shaped relationship between market diversity and export performance. Originality/value - In the export and trade literature, the impact of market diversity on export performance has not been addressed yet, despite the importance of this subject. Many scholars have assumed a positive linear relationship between the two, considering only the decrease in market risks as the number of overseas markets increases, without examining the increase in the entry and management costs. Therefore, our study contributes by providing a new perspective for analyzing the characteristics and outcomes of market diversity.

EC 효익과 경쟁전략과의 관계에 관한 실증분석 (Relationship between EC Benefits and Competitive Strategy)

  • A research model was developed to examine the relationship between the anticipated benefits of electronic commerce and competitive strategies. A survey questionnaire was sent to 2000 electronic shopping malls in Korea, and 102 usable responses were obtained. The survey asked about the anticipated benefits from using electronic commerce. The survey also asked about three strategies that they have been following to achieve business competitiveness. The results provide useful guideline to develop appropriate strategies and plans for effectively deploying and managing the use of the electronic commerce. Customer responsiveness was the most important factors among six benefit factors, namely customer responsiveness, market responsiveness, economies of production, internal organizational efficiency, overall performance, and flexibility. Overall performance also predicted a focus strategy whereas flexibility predicted a cost leadership strategy.

Can Brand Affinity Outperform Political Parties' Rejection When Nominating Celebrity Politicians in a Post-Rebellion Multi-Party Context?

  • In competitive political contexts, sustaining power is the ultimate goal for political parties. Nominating celebrity politicians can be a double-edged sword for parent brands in attracting votes and influencing voting intention. This study contributes to the moderating role of brand affinity towards celebrity politicians. It considers celebrities' cognitive perceived benefits and voting intention relationship in a multiparty parliamentarian election. A cross-sectional survey with a stratified proportional random sampling technique in fifteen Lebanese districts ensured a representative sample. One thousand two hundred sixty-nine responses were found eligible for analysis. Findings indicate that brand affinity positively moderates the negative relationship between perceived benefits and voting intention. This study offers a new understanding of celebrity politicians' implementation strategy and campaign management and considers the contribution of the affective intelligence theory. It provides implications, limitations, and promising directions for future research on celebrity politicians.
