This study is intended to examine the effect of characteristics of museum visitors and visit type on perceived relative status, aesthetic responses, and perceived visit benefits, which in turn affect visitor satisfaction and personal and social participatory behaviors. Research was held for four weeks. A total of 308 questionnaires were collected out of 315 distributed. However, additional 15 were excluded due to inadequate responses. The findings of the study are as follows: While museum visitor characteristics yielded significant effects on the perceived relative status and perceived visit benefit, it did not have significant effects on aesthetic responses. Additionally, while visit types showed considerable impact on perceived relative status, it did not yield significant effect on aesthetic responses or the perceived visit benefit. Perceived relative status of a museum had positive effects on aesthetic responses, but not on the perceived visit benefit. Furthermore, while perceived relative status did not have significant effect on visitor satisfaction, it did have evident effects on the aesthetic response and the perceived visit benefit. Lastly, greater visitor satisfaction was confirmed to contribute to greater participatory behavior in various prospective programs and events offered by museums. Hence, it would be imperative for museums to gear their attention to encourage internal participatory behaviors such as visitor education, donation and charity events, which would consequently transcend to viewing museums more as a public space shared by the general public.

The purpose of this study is to analyze a research on the influence of consumers' purchasing selection criteria for golf-wear upon clothing pursuit benefit and purchase satisfaction. It selected people who are using golf games and golf courses in each city and county where are located in Gangwon-do Province, and surveyed targeting totally 206 people by using convenience sampling. As for data processing, the collected materials in this study were carried out frequency & percentage, reliability analysis, correlation & multiple regression analysis by using SPSS 13.0 program. The results are as follows. First, as a result of analyzing socio-demographic characteristics, the similar distribution was shown by gender with 51.0% in men and 49.0% in women. By age, the age group from their 40s to 50s was indicated to be the largest. The martial status was indicated to be a litter higher in the married with 57.3% compared to the unmarried with 42.7%. By healthy condition, what tends to be healthy can be known to be the largest with 79.4%. Second, positive correlation was indicated all in correlation of consumers' purchasing selection criteria for golf-wear with the clothing pursuit benefit and satisfaction. Third, as a result of analyzing on relationship of the golf-wear purchasing selection criteria with the clothing pursuit benefit, the purchasing selection criteria were indicated to have influence upon the ideal pursuit, the fashion & brand, comfort pursuit, and youthand-individuality pursuit, which are the clothing pursuit benefits. Fourth, the analytical result on the purchasing selection criteria for golf-wear with purchase satisfaction was indicated to have significant influence upon consumers' golf-wear purchase satisfaction.
Purpose: The collective civil complaint problem is considered as important obstructive factor of the nuclear power plant construction project's success and quality. Therefore, this study demonstrate the factors which can affect the settling collective civil complaints, and also suggest the improvement of the resolution. Methods: This study collected the data of Kori Nuclear Power Division staff, local residents and Hanul Nuclear Power Division staff, local residents, and use them for analysis. Results: The results are twofold in the study: First, the 'Situation Recognition' and 'Mutual Cooperation' which are independent variables for solving collective civil complaints have proved to give positive influence on both the nuclear staff and the local residents about the complaint resolution outcome of the dependent variable. Second, the moderation variable 'Expected Benefit' on the influential relationship between the collective civil complaint resolution factor and the civil complaints resolution outcome proved to have a moderating effect only on the nuclear staff. On the other hand, moderation variables 'Time of SOC Business Implementation' and 'Time of Compensation' proved to have a moderating effect only for the local residents. Conclusion: According to the results, the staff have a positive opinion on the benefits of the nuclear power plant construction, while residents feel strongly that they do not get any benefit from the construction despite of tremendous investment and expected benefit in local area. As this results, policy implementation which is superable different understanding is required.
We surveyed the emotional images of three kinds of scientific technologies in people's mind and the perception of technologies in terms of their risks and benefits. The contents of the image and their image values were used to estimate the affects on each technology. As an affect heuristic hypothesis predicted, people perceived the technology more beneficial or riskier depending on their overall affect. In other words, those who have positive affect on the technology Perceived less risky and more beneficial than those who have negative affect. On the other hand, those who have negative affect on the technology perceived riskier and less beneficial than those who have positive affect. We also found negative relationship between the perceived risk and perceived benefit of each technology. The implications of our findings that suggest affective heuristic were discussed in terms of the measurements of affect and the necessity of communication of scientific technologies with the public.
This study was conducted in order to identify the extent to which Health Belief Model (HBM) constructs explain the likelihood of taking preventive behaviors for AIDS among the young adolescents in Korea. HBM was applied as the theoretical framework for developing questionnaire items in this study. The survey instrument included all of the constructs of Health Belief Model, namely, perceived susceptibility, perceived severity, perceived benefit, perceived barriers, cue to actions for preventive behaviors concerning AIDS. Additionally, demographic characteristics of the respondents, their sexual experiences, and AIDS Knowledge Test were included in the study. Each of HBM constructs were developed with a 5-point Likert type scale from l(never agree) to 5 (absolutely agree). The survey was conducted with a total of 247 military men in a city on September 18, 1996, using self-reported questionnaire. The results of the study were summarized as follows: 1. Because the subjects for this study were military soldiers, their demographic characteristics were limited to all men, young age, and ummarried. Educational status was evenly distributed between high school graduates and university students. 2. On the average, the respondents started their first sexual relationship at 18 years old and 82.6% of them did not use condom when having their first sexual experience. Thirty-one percent of the subjects had sexual contact with prostitutes and the average number of sexual contact with prostitutes was 5 times during the past 2 years. 3. The results of AIDS Knowledge Test scores demonstrated that the respondents had a high level of knowledge about AIDS. However, some misconceptions about transmission of AIDS through casual contact were still prevailed. Sixty-six percent of the respondents expressed that people infected with HIV should be isolated from the society in order to protect the general public. 4. All the respondents expressed that they had heard about AIDS before. TV was found to be the source which provided information on AIDS most frequently. 5. Among fundamental constructs of Health Belief Model, scores of perceived benefit of taking preventive action against AIDS marked the highest score, while scores of perceived susceptibility were the lowest. As a result of Multiple Stepwise Regression analysis, 13 variable groups were found to predict the preventive action by 25%. Among them, only perceived benefit variables was the most significant factor to explain preventive behaviors by 17%.
Studies find that money spent for others (vs self) increases happiness. This study examines whether the hedonic benefit of prosocial spending varies according to one's level of loneliness. Given that prosocial spending strengthens social bonding, social spending was expected to have a greater impact on the happiness of lonely individuals. This prediction was supported in two studies that employed different measurements of prosocial spending (typical spending habit, Study 1; resource allocation task, Study 2) for predicting happiness either at the trait- (Study 1) or state-level (Study 2). In short, lonely people seem to benefit more from prosocial spending than less lonely counterparts. This research contributes to the prosocial spending and happiness literature by shedding light on an important individual difference factor, loneliness.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the benefits sought by luxury good customers contingent on product category, and to understand the relationship between the benefits sought and brand loyalty. A qualitative approach was used; therefore in-depth interviews were conducted with seven panels of professionals in the luxury industry. The findings are as follows: 1) Handbag customers mainly seek the social benefits in order to express their social status by purchasing well-known, easily-recognizable brands. 2) Shoe customers primarily seek the practical-functional benefits, which are comfort and function. 3) Small Leather Goods customers seek the social benefits for themselves and as gifts for others. 4) Brand loyalty for handbag customers is reported to be low, as their primary goals are the social benefits. Rather than devoting themselves to one specific brand, handbag customers prefer to purchase from various brands. 5) Shoe customers have reportedly higher brand loyalty, as they tend to come back to brands when they are satisfied with the benefits they pursue. The findings of this study provide more information on the practical implications of luxury good customer purchasing habits. Firstly, customers pursue different benefits depending on product category, and secondly, brand loyalty differs by customers' benefits.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors of CRM(Customer Relationship Management) activity and the difference in CRM effects according to customers responses. The investigators interviewed the buyers of three department stores in Daejeon area and surveyed 468 people aged over 20 who had ever shopped at those stores. For data analysis, we used factorial analysis, multiple regression analysis, path analysis, and ANOVA, etc., along with SPSS 10.0. The results of this study are as follows: 1) Six CRM activity factors were identified as 'Benefit & Information,' 'Service,' 'Customer Invitation,' 'Customer Contact,' 'Special Management,' and 'Purchase-related Help.' 2) Customer satisfaction of CRM-positive group was affected by such factors as 'Service,' 'Customer Invitation,' and 'Special Management,' and also customer loyalty directly by 'Customer Satisfaction' and 'Benefit & Information.' On the other hand, customer satisfaction of CRM-less-positive-group was influenced by the factors such as 'Service,' 'Purchase-related Help,' 'Customer Contact,' and 'Special Management,' and also customer loyalty directly by 'Customer Satisfaction' and 'Service.'
This study investigates the benefits consumers seek in buying and using bedding, sub-dimensions of lifestyle, and the relationship between those of the benefits and the dimensions of lifestyle. This study conducted a survey to verify benefits consumers seek in buying bedding. A questionnaire was developed to collect data to measure lifestyle, benefits sought for the bedding, and demographic variables. Research was conducted on married women aged between 20 and 59. Total 294 responses were analyzed using factor analysis, correlation analysis, t-test, and one-way ANOVA with SPSS 18.0. A factor analysis identified three dimensions of benefits sought for the bedding: utilitarian benefits, social benefit, and aesthetic benefit. Lifestyle consists of five dimensions: health seeking, social symbol seeking, leisure/country-living seeking, aesthetics seeking, and economy seeking. All dimensions underlying benefits consumers seek in buying bedding and all dimensions of lifestyle were correlated. As consumers get older, they tend to seek more utilitarian and social/psychological benefits of bedding.

Purpose: This study was done to examine the relationship among knowledge, health belief, and preventitive behavioral intention related to venous thromboembolism (VTE) in patients with lower-limb musculoskeletal disorders. Methods: This transversal descriptive study looked at 145 adult patients with lower-limb musculoskeletal disorders, who were hospitalized in C hospital in G city. Data were collected from September 29 to October 6, 2012. Knowledge, health belief and preventitive behavioral intention were measured by structured questionnaires. Date were analyzed by descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA, independent t-test, and Pearson correlation, using the SPSS program. Results: The mean score of knowledge related to VTE was low. The mean scores of health belief and preventitive behavioral intention related to VTE were moderate or higher than average. Preventitive behavioral intention positively correlated with knowledge, perceived benefit, and health motivation. Whereas, there was a negative correlation between preventitive behavioral intention and perceived barriers. Conclusion: These results suggest that developing a health care program which is able to enhance knowledge, perceived benefit, and health motivation related to VTE and reduce perceived barriers, is essential in order to promote preventitive behaviors.
