섬유복합재봉(FRP ROD)과 고강도 모르터를 이용한 철근 콘크리트 구조물의 휨 보강공법(MFRI) 공법 (Reinforcing System(MFRI) for Concrete Structure using FRP ROD & High-performance Mortar)

  • This report is on the Reinforcing System(MFRI) for Concrete Structure using FRP ROD & High-Performance Mortar. The main characteristic of this system is as follow. First, the fiber rods in this system have seven times greater tensile strength than general reinforcing steel bars(re-bar) and the weight is a fifth lighter. Camels coated on the fiber rods' surfaces to improve adhesive strength and pull-out strength. Second, high strength shotcrete mortar is has very good workability and low rebound rate. After installing the Fiber Rods, Shotcrete mortar Is applied or sprayed to finish reinforcement. Finally, MFRI system has excellent fire-resisting performance and sogood tolerance against external environment by inserting fiber rods and reinforcing materials into mortar which has high compressive strength. It is applied to bridge slab, utility box and tunnel of civil engineering works, and beam and slab of building structures.

신보강재로 보수 보강한 기둥의 구조 성능 개선 (Structural Performance Enhancement of Seismic Retrofitted Column Using New Reinforcing Materials)

  • Reinforced concrete frame buildings in regions of low to moderate seismicity are typically designed only for gravity loads with non-seismic detailing provisions of the code. These buildings possess strong beam-weak column, which brings about the brittle structural performance like the column sidesway failure mechanism during the strong lateral load. The objective of this paper is to enhance the column strength and deformation capacity for reconfiguring the structural failure mode by averting a column soft-story collapse and moving to a more ductile beam-sides way mechanism suing new reinforcing materials. Aramid fiber sheet and reinforcing rod-composite materials was used for this purpose. The column was modeled by the 2/3 scale experimental specimen retested. According to the concept of the capacity design, the damaged column was strengthened by the column jacketing using new reinfocing materials such as rod-composite materials. In conclusion, the improvement of the flexural strength is observed and the capacity of the energy dissipation and the ductility is enhanced, too.

  • Important material properties of UCAS rod can divide by tension characteristic of base rod part and both end part of U type anchor. Tensile properties of base rod part need as concrete reinforcement material as an alternative material of reinforcing rod, and tensile properties of U type anchor is used at connection with UCAS rod. This treatise carry out tensile test of UCAS rod, examine necessary properties such as strength, elastic modulus and maximum capacity of UCAS rod as reinforcement material of concrete. Also, to examine material properties carry out tensile test of U type anchor.

  • The study analyzed on fire resistance of high strength concrete followed by thickness of fireproof plaster board and change of adhesive method. In spalling characteristics after fire resistance test, all four-side covering concretes were left out of testing screens. Thus, serious spalling was happened by exposing their internal reinforcing rods. in partial testing screens, spalling was happened till the internal concrete of main reinforcing rod. Only, temperature history didn't have special differences among changes of adhesive method. However, thickness of fireproof plaster board is very important. Namely, mock member reinforcing 25mm general adhesive + Bending was 583℃ in the highest temperature of surface part and 479℃ in the highest temperature of the main reinforcing rod, which was relatively good temperature history.

  • Utilization of new lighter materials, more tough and durable than existing materials, is getting larger in recent constructions. FRP, stronger and lighter than present materials, can be formed in various shapes and has high durability, which makes it more profitable as a new material in construction fields. However, effort to use FRP in real construction is toddling and FRP is used primarily as reinforcing material in connote structure. We are about to develop Hybrid FRP Rod for the development of advanced construction material which is based on IT, by Hybridization of HIP, spotlighted as new construction material, and optical sensor in smart measurement. Beforehand, it is required to fully understand the properties of tension test operated in Hybrid FRP Rod. For this, a specimen was made by hybridization of FRP Rod and FBG sensor. Strain of Hybrid FRP Rod was measured comparing electric sensor and FBG sensor.

  • Problem of repairing by boring is that it deteriorates stabelety and durability of structure by permeation of seawater from underneath after damage and repair of reinforcing rod regarding of spot. The purpose of this study is to improve the porblem by using the repair method of general boring to mend the of large mat basis. Direction of thes experiment is to apply the new repair material and the method to control the blazing fire factor caused by the crack from the foundation of large mat and also to estimate it's integrity. New method of construction is method of contruction that do speace scurity in vertical drilling and bottom useing water jet. New material used bantonite and rubberized asphalt. Test result existent repair method of construction large size mat basis perforation is difficult and reinforcing rod can be damaged coule there were a lot of problems with re-water leakage of crack repair region, but overcomes existent short coming by method that apply in this study.

  • 본 논문에서는 철관이 들어있는 건축물의 기초를 대용접지극으로 활용하기 위해 콘크리트의 전기적 특성에 관해서 기초적 검토를 하였다. 철근이 들어있는 몰탈블록 모형과 콘크리트블록 모형을 제작 후 접지저항 측정 결과에 따르면, 철근의 수량에 의한 접지 저항값과 대지저항률 보다 블록의 저항율에 의한 접지 저항값이 크게 영향을 받는 것을 알 수 있었다.

  • 본 연구에서는 탄소섬유로 보강된 콘크리트의 전기저항 변화를 모니터링하는 방법에 의해, 콘크리트의 파괴에 대한 자가진단 적용 특성을 검토하였다. 미분쇄 탄소섬유와 코크스 분체로 구성된 신형 리브재가 포함된 CFGFRP (탄소섬유 유리섬유 강화 플라스틱)와 콘크리트 보강용 CF(탄소섬유) 시트에 휨 하중 재하 단계별로 하중을 가할 때 균열 또는 파괴가 발생하기 전후의 탄소섬유의 전기저항 변화를 조사하여, 각 인자의 관계특성(각 하중단계별 전기저항, 변형률, 처짐 등의 변화)을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 콘크리트 인장측 파괴시 탄소섬유 보강근, 신형 리브, 시트가 파괴될 때, 전기저항은 크게 증가하지만, CFGFRP의 경우는 그 후 하이브리드 FRP 재료 중 탄소섬유를 보강하고 있던 유리섬유가 나머지 추가 재하 하중에 저항할 수 있어 콘크리트 시험체의 전 파괴단계에까지는 이르지 않았다. 따라서 CFGFRP의 보강근과 신형 리브, CF시트는 FRP로 보강된 콘크리트의 파괴를 사전에 감지할 수 있는 자가진단 재료로서의 적용이 가능함을 알 수 있었다.

Structural Response of Reinforced Concrete Beams Strengthened with CERP Rod

  • Rod-type fiber reinforced polymer plastics(FRPs) similar to reinforcing steel bars have rarely been considered. In this study, an experiment was performed using beams strengthened with rod-type CFRPs and high-strength mortar overlay. The test results show that the strengthened beams not only had improved endurance limits but also improved load carrying capacities, stiffness values, and cracking loads as compared to a non-strengthened beam. Strengthened beams anchored with bolts throughout their entire span had more efficient structural behaviors, including composite behavior on the interface between the concrete and mortar, and load carrying capacity, than a strengthened beam anchored only on the end block.
