The benefit of reinforced roadbeds, such as roadbed reinforced with slag and roadbed with crushed stone has been known among engineers. In this study, model soil box test is executed to determine optimum roadbed thickness. As a result, a empirical solution for the settlement of reinforced roadbeds was suggested. Furthermore, optimum thickness of reinforced roadbed could be determined based on the settlement characteristic of reinforced roadbed among the several variables.

The human ecology research has focused continuously on household life and its relationships with environments. Today the household life has changed very rapidly. The human ecology takes such challenges which its academic research should focus on not only the household life but also the social environments. And the growing interest on wellbeing society persuade the professionals of human ecology to introduce the wellbeing concepts and perspectives. Therefore this study tried to reveal the effectiveness of applying wellbeing perspectives to household life and the practical orientation. The implication of this study : through the perspectives of wellbeing the human ecology could reinforce its academic status in may related fields.

New teaching and studying methods using educational contents are gradually widespread with the advancement of information and communication technology. As educational contents, in this paper, we design and implement linguistic contents for studying essential expressions applied to various situations of real life. In detail, the linguistic contents are run on web environments, and have suitable animations for learning essential expressions based on several foreign languages in contextual dialogues. Also, useful functions are included in contents to reinforce what users have learned.

Construction companies economic to lighten the restrictions on safety education and training due to the domestic recession as long as the global downturn. With this, the Korean government restrictions, but the incidents are being sharply increased nowadays. The construction industry hazardous than any others, so, they insist to reinforce the training for incidents prevention, to be disregarded at the subcontractors of the bigger construction companies problems. According to these matters, this study hereby surveyed regarding their suggestions for the improvements of the training concepts through questionnaires below.

Genetic alogorithm(GA) is a well-known global optimization algorithm. However, as the searching bounds grow wider., performance of local optimization deteriorates. In this paper, we propose a hybrid algorithm which integrates the gradient algorithm and GA so as to reinforce the performance of local optimization. We apply this algorithm to the system identification of second order RLC circuit. Identification results show that the proposed algorithm gets the better and robust performance to find the exact values of RLC elements.

This study presents the slope stability analysis results for the model slope test. The model slope was made of the soil reinforced by FPF(Fibrillated Polyprophylene Fiber). The shear strength properties of the soil reinforced by FPF fibers were evaluated through the direct shear tests. The model slope 1:1 and 1:1.5 were made and the load tests were performed. Back analysis using limit equilibrium method was carried out to evaluate the shear strength increase on the FPF reinforced slope. The factor of safety of the FPF reinforce slope increased about 23% over unreinforced slope.

The shrinkage properties of high early strength concrete were investigated. One of the method to control microcrack and crack development due to restrained shrinkage is to reinforce concrete with randomly distributed fibers. Regulated-set cement and two different types of fiber were adopted. The experiments for heat of hydration, drying and autogenous shrinkage were conducted. The desirable resistance of high early strength fiber reinforced concrete to restrained shrinkage microcracking was achieved. These results indicate that use of fiber in high early strength concrete plays an important role in control of crack development due to restrained shrinkage.

Purpose of this paper is to enhance aviation safety in korea through comparison with aviation safety policies implemented by other countries. it can be another opportunity for Korean two national flag airlines to reappraise and reinforce the significance of "aviation safety", as well as set forth immediate vigorous efforts to support the government's aviation safety enhancement countermeasures. I hope this study would contribute and provide a variable idea and direction to enhance aviation safety management of two Korean flag carriers.

Small & Medium construction firms have been faced with demand of environmental changes. construction firms have been required to improve their structures to reinforce the competitiveness. so, these firms are making desperate efforts, which are reorganization, renovation, improvement. this study would be emphasized the Quality Management in construction work. For this, It must be supposed a plan to improve a construction organization. The Construction Firm would be executed Quality Management learning, leadership, understanding of Quality Management to construction workers.
