  • Since patent documents contain detailed results of research and development technologies, many studies on various patent analysis methods for effective technology analysis have been conducted. In particular, research on quantitative patent analysis by statistics and machine learning algorithms has been actively conducted recently. The most used patent data in quantitative patent analysis is technology keywords. Most of the existing methods for analyzing the keyword data were models based on the Gaussian probability distribution with random variable on real space from negative infinity to positive infinity. In this paper, we propose a model using gamma probability distribution to analyze the frequency data of patent keywords that can theoretically have values from zero to positive infinity. In addition, in order to determine the regression equation of the gamma-based regression model, two-mode network is constructed to visualize the technological association between keywords. Practical patent data is collected and analyzed for performance evaluation between the proposed method and the existing Gaussian-based analysis models.

  • The aims of this study are to investigate a logisitic regression equation of the vacuous pulse and the replete pulse for efficacy evaluation of clip-type pulsimeter by using magnetic Hall device. To evaluate the efficacy of clip-type pulsimeter by using magnetic Hall device as sensing the minute movement of a radial artery, one research clinical trial have been performed. The number of subject was 120, the clinical data of patients did treated with a normal statistical method. The systolic peak amplitude, the reflective peak amplitude and time, and the notch peak amplitude and time are analyzed major efficacy parameters to discern the vacuous pulse and the replete pulse. The equations included of five parameters such as systolic peak amplitude, the reflective peak amplitude and time, and the notch peak amplitude and notch amplitude time for determination of the vacuous pulse and the replete pulse were deducted by statistical logistic regression method. It suggests that the logistic regression equations are possible to develop the oriental algorithm for pulse diagnosis.

  • We have studied a characterization method of accurate size of spherical particles by fitting experimental light scattering profile to the rigorous theoretical scattering function. An efficient software has been developed for computation of the theoretical scattering function and regression analysis. A light scattering instrument has been built and the necessary data acquisition and analysis are carried out by use of a personal computer with an emphasis on the reduction of analysis and time aiming that this study will be extended toward a development of a practical particle sizing apparatus. The performance of the instrument and the software has been evaluated with latex spheres and found to be satisfactory.

  • In this paper, Plasma Enhanced Chemical Vapor Deposition (PECVD) $SiO_2$ film properties are modeled using statistical analysis and neural networks. For systemic analysis, Box-Behnken's 3 factor design of experiments (DOE) with response surface method are used. For characterization, deposited film thickness and film stress are considered as film properties and three process input factors including plasma RF power, flow rate of $N_2O$ gas, and flow rate of 5% $SiH_4$ gas contained at $N_2$ gas are considered for modeling. For film thickness characterization, regression based model showed only 0.71% of root mean squared (RMS) error. Also, for film stress model case, both regression model and neural prediction model showed acceptable RMS error. For sensitivity analysis, compare to conventional fixed mid point based analysis, proposed sensitivity analysis for entire range of interest support more process information to optimize process recipes to satisfy specific film characteristic requirements.

  • This study is mainly focus on the satisfaction degree of programs which were been held in city park. The case study of this study is Tokyo metropolitan city park which planed programs and have managed them for approximately 20 years. For the purpose, this study used the questionnaire about the satisfaction degree of programs in 2 Tokyo metropolitan city parks which are held nature observation programs, after analysis of programs of city parks. This study used analysis method of cross-tab, factor analysis and multi-regression. The result are as follows: 1. As the result of factor analysis, 6 factors which are determined the satisfaction degree of programs are found. Also as the regression result between satisfaction degree and 6 factor, the satisfaction degree is positively affected by first factor which is identified program contents and forth factor which is identified marketing part of program. 2. On the organization of managing program, the sponsorship privately-managed citizen group is more favorable than the sponsorship by volunteer. 3. In the participant attribute, participants who are older than 50 showed high distribution, and there is no difference between sex.

  • This study aims to identify the representative factors affecting the air trade between the two countries over the past 20 years, targeting China, Korea's largest trading partner for air transport. In the analysis, the two countries' GDP, GDP per capita, and tariff rates, as well as exchange rates, international oil prices, and FTAs were used as variables. For the analysis method, OLS multiple regression analysis was performed, and each was analyzed by dividing the export amount, import amount, and trade amount. As a result of the analysis, China's GDP and Korea's GDP per capita showed a positive (+) direction, an increase in the exchange rate resulted in an increase in the amount of trade, and an increase in the tariff rate resulted in a decrease in the amount of trade. Whether the FTA was concluded or not acted as a factor in increasing the amount of trade between the two countries.

  • This research aims to determine the effect of customers' threat emotion and price on the decision to purchase a certain smartphone product. This study uses a quantitative method with a type of descriptive and causal research. It employs non-probability sampling with purposive sampling, with 385 respondents to answer the questionnaires. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of descriptive analysis of emotion, price and purchasing decisions are in sync with each other. The results of multiple linear regression analysis techniques indicate the threat emotion and brand trust are influential against the positive decision to purchase smartphone products. The magnitude of the influence of emotions and price have simultaneous effect on purchasing decisions and other decision variables, which are not included in this study, also play minor role in determining purchase intention, such as product quality, brand image and others. Partially, threat emotion and brand trust have a positive effect toward purchasing decisions. The magnitude of the highest influence was the one of price, then followed by emotional threats. The findings of this study suggest that psychological and behavioral effects also play important roles in determining customers' purchase decision.

  • In this study, the regression equation was suggested to predict of the shot ball velocity according to blade shapes based on discrete element (DE) analysis. First, the flat type blade DE model was used in the analysis, the validity of the DE model was verified by giving that the velocity of the shot ball almost equal to the theoretical one. Next, the DE analyses for curved and combined blade models was accomplished, and their analytical velocities of shot ball were compared with the theoretical one. The velocity of combined blade model was greatest. From this, the regression equation for velocity of shot ball according to the blade shape based on the DE analysis was derived. Additionally, the wind speed measurement experiment was carried out, and the experimental result and analytical one were the same. Ultimately, it was confirmed that the prediction method of the velocity of shot ball based on DE analysis was effective.

  • The purpose of this study is to analysis the influence of personal backgrounds on the preference of fishing village experience recreation villages. As the analysis method, binary logistic regression analysis was used. Dependent variables are experience recreation villages (rural and fishing). The independent variables consist of 9 groups of people: gender, age, family type, marital status, presence of children, principal companion, fishing village image, visit experience villages, recognition of fishing village experience recreation village. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the tourist's gender, age, family type, marital status, presence of children, principal companion, fishing village image, visit experience villages, recognition of fishing village experience recreation village influence the preference of fishing village experience recreation village. By characteristics of each group, it was found that male prefer fishing village experience recreation villages 1.597 times as much as female, and those with a positive image about fishing villages prefer fishing village experience recreation villages as much as 2.644 times than those with negative images. In addition, it was found that those who visited the fishing village experience and recreation village prefer the fishing village experience village about six times more than those who have never visited.
