반사거울 방식을 이용한 중정 내 자연채광 성능 분석 연구 (A Study on Daylighting Performance of an Inner Court with Reflecting Mirror System)

  • To lead lighting inside, design solution and mechenical solution can be used.A inner court and atrium are samples for design solution. However, physical and environmental elements for building design are not taken positively into consideration. So low position of the inner court is difficult to reach lighting performance and a urban landscape gets damaged. On this study, selecting a building with a inner court, best design method is suggested to apply reflecting mirror. building direction, building shape and solar position are considered to deside the setting angle for reflecting mirror. Performance for the setting reflecting mirror is verified through various simulation cases, and is got more lighting performance than the present situation on the building inside.

차량의 후사경 폭과 횡방향 이격거리를 반영한 차로여유폭 산정 (Lane Spare Widths Reflecting Vehicles' Rearview Mirror Widths and Lateral Wheel Paths)

  • PURPOSES : The lane width of the domestic highway is 3.5 ~ 3.6m and it has been designed nationwide. However, the distribution of the average vehicle widths, rearview mirror widths and lateral wheel paths by region appear different. Then, lane spare widths may differ by region followingly. Thus, the flexible design of freeway lane widths is required. METHODS : The methodologies of this paper are as follows. First, vehicle widths rearview mirror widths lateral wheel paths of vehicles driven four national expressways were measured. Second, lane spare widths by vehicle widths were calculated. Third, lane spare widths reflecting rearview mirror widths were calculated by using interval estimation. Additionally, lane spare widths reflecting vehicles lateral wheel paths were calculated. RESULTS : The results of this paper are as follows. First, lane spare widths by vehicle widths ranges 0.83 to 0.95m. Second, lane spare widths reflecting rearview mirror widths ranges 0.518 to 0.747m at the confidence interval 95%. Third, lane spare widths reflecting vehicles' lateral wheel paths ranges -0.022 to 0.322m at the curved sections and the confidence interval 95%. CONCLUSIONS : It may be concluded that the present lane spare widths are relatively narrow at the curved section. Thus, there is a need to consider expanded lane widths at the curved sections. Additionally, there is a need to consider flexible design of lane widths by various conditions.

직경 2m급 반사면을 가지는 태양열 집광 장치 개발 (Development of a Solar Concentrator having the Reflecting Surface with the 2m Class Diameter)

  • 목적: 직경 2 m급 반사면을 가지는 태양열 집광 장치를 개발하고자 한다. 방법: 태양열 집광 장치 반사면 제작을 위해서는 제작에 사용될 반사판 섹터의 형상이 필요한데 먼저 이 형상을 도출할 수 있는 공식을 유도하였다. 반사경 외형 직경, 근축영역에서의 반사경 곡률반경, 반사경 섹터의 개수, 반사경 중심 홀의 크기, 출력 데이터의 간격을 입력 변수로 하여 반사면 섹터의 형상과 수치 데이터를 상기 공식으로 도출하는 프로그램을 델파이 6.0 언어를 사용하여 개발하였다. 결과: 반사면 섹터의 형상과 수치 데이터를 도출하기 위해 개발된 프로그램은 반사면 섹터의 형상을 모니터에 나타낼 수 있도록 하였으며, 형상에 대한 수치 데이터 파일을 저장할 수 있도록 하였다. 따라서 이 프로그램 사용자는 반사면 섹터의 수치 데이터를 쉽게 다룰 수 있게 되었다. 결론: 태양열 집광 장치 반사면 제작에 사용되는 반사면 섹터를 만들어내는 프로그램을 개발하여 실제 직경 2m급 태양열 집광장치 개발에 적용하여 시제품 제작에 성공하였다.

An Optical Cavity Design for an Infrared Gas Detector Using an Off-axis Parabolic Mirror

  • This study examined a method for designing the optical cavity of a non-dispersive infrared gas detector. The infrared gas detector requires an optical cavity design to lengthen the ray path. However, the optical cavity with multiple reflecting surfaces has off-axis aberration due to the characteristics of the reflecting optical system. The rays were parallelized by using the off-axis parabolic mirror to easily increase the ray path and eliminate off-axis aberration so that the rays are admitted to the effective area of the infrared detector uniformly. A prototype of an infrared gas detector was produced with the designed optical cavity to confirm the performance.

부록 1. 원개형동기의 앞뒷면 - 그 사용법에 관하여 - (A Study of Disk-Shaped Bronze Implements)

  • Several explanations exist about the usage of disk-shaped bronze implements in the ancient society. Some argue that they were used as mirrors, others suggest percussion instruments, and still others bronze ornaments. Differences between disk-shaped bronze implements and mirrors with multiple knobs are that the former have no visible design, only one handle, and a sharp curvature unlike the latter with smooth curvature. The question is whether disk-shaped bronze implements excavated from Korean peninsula have any light reflecting function. To answer this question, I carefully studied the concave surfaces of disk-shaped bronze implements excavated from Goejeong-dong, Tongso-ri and Hapsong-ri sites. The main findings are as follows: (1) The concave sides of the disk-shaped bronze implements excavated from Goejeong-dong and Tongso-ri sites were highly polished, and they were as reflective as bronze mirrors. (2) The concave side of the disk-shaped bronze implement from Hapsong-ri site was unpolished, and it was different from bronze mirrors. (3) As for the convex sides of the disk-shaped bronze implements, they did not appear to have been polished with care. Considering the above findings, the disk-shaped bronze implements excavated from Goejeong-dong and Tongso-ri sites belong to the stage where they could act as both mirrors and instruments. On the contrary, the disk-shaped bronze implement from Hapsong-ri site can belong to the stage where it lost the function of being a mirror as the result of maintaining only its function as an instrument. Even though disk-shaped implements had two functions, it can be considered that the light reflecting function expanded the role of a mirror with multiple knobs and the sound function helped the engraved round bronze implement to be converted into an eight-armed bronze rattle. Since it has been reported that shamans used bronze mirrors as percussion instruments in their performances in Korean peninsula and Siberia, I propose a reconsideration of the usage of mirrors in the ancient East Asia. Although the essential function of a mirror is to reflect light, other possible usages involving important functions need to be further investigated.

반사경 배치와 흡수기 형상에 따른 접시형 고온 태양열 시스템 성능비교 (Performance Comparison of Dish Solar Collector With Mirror Arrays & Receiver Shapes)

  • In order to analyze the performance comparison of dish solar collector with mirror arrays and receiver shapes, the radiative heat flux distribution inside the cavity receiver is numerically investigated. The solar irradiation reflected by dish solar collector is traced using the Monte-Carlo method. Five different dish solar collectors and three different cavity receivers are considered. A parabolic-shaped perfect mirror of which diameter is 1.5 m is considered as a reference dish solar collector and four different arrays of twelve identical parabolic-shaped mirror facets of which diameter are 0.4 m are used. Their reflecting areas, which are $1.5\;m^2$, are the same. Three different cavity receiver shapes are dome, conical, and cylindrical. In addition, the radiative properties of the concentrating surfaces can vary the thermal performance of the cavity receiver so that variation of the surface reflectivity of each mirror is considered. Based on the calculation, the design information of dish solar collector for producing the electric power can be obtained. The results show that the dome type has the best performance in receiver shapes and the 2AND4 INLINE has the best performance in mirror arrays except perfect mirror.

레이저 간섭계의 직각 평면거울에 대한 직각도 오차 측정 (Orthogonality Measurement of Square Plane Mirrors for Laser Interferometry)

  • Plane mirror type laser interferometers are popularly being used in many modern ultraprecision machines, as they can perform simultaneous measurements of multiple axis positions with nanometer resolution capabilities. One important issue in this application of laser interferometers is to provide a good level of alignment between the reflecting mirrors and the laser beams so that measurement errors due to undesirable coupling effects can be avoided in multiple axis measurements In this investigation, a thorough metrological analysis is given to develop an suitable mathematical model for a precision x-y stage in which the orthogonality misalignment between the reflecting mirrors significantly affects overall x-y mea-surement results. Then a noble calibration method is suggested in which two-dimensional displacement sensors of moire gratings of concentric circles are used to realize the reversal principle of orthogonality evaluation in situ. Finally, actual experimental results are discussed to verify that the suggested method can effectively calibrate the orthogonality error with an uncertainty of 0.2667 arcsec.

  • Although the mirror has been used for a long time primarily for personal purposes, such as adornment by reflecting feature of mirror, it can also be used to expand from its legacy function to safety and lots of unpredictable applications. However, the mirror can be used as an information or investigation base, it is subject to human beings in the private region, objects and private purpose in the public and industrial fields. This paper suggests the wide usage of mirror equipped with smart technology, considering current Korea domestic regulation by law.

  • A $50{\times}50{\mu}m^2$ aluminum micromirror array is fabricated using surface micromachining technology. $50{\times}50$ micromirrors are arrayed two dimensionally. The micromirror plate is supported by a vertical spring structure that is placed underneath the mirror plate. When the mirror plates reflect a light, the micromirror array un have large effective reflecting area. Fabrication of vertical spring uses only one mask and shadow evaporation process.
