The purpose of this study is to develop a method for estimating the non-point pollutant delivery load of each reference flow(flows of dry, low, normal, abundant and flood seasons) with combination of BASINS/HSPF. The effectiveness of this method is evaluated by applying it to the watershed of Dongbok stream. The flow, BOD and T-P reliability indices(RI) of the BASINS/HSPF for the watershed of Dongbok stream are 1.59, 1.41, 1.28, respectively, and thus the similarity between measured and estimated values is high. The non-point pollutant load delivery ratios of BOD and T-P for the flows of dry, low and normal seasons, which are estimated by such constructed BASINS/HSPF, are 0.36 and 1.09, 0.82 and 2.19, 6.02 and 16.90, respectively, as compared with daily average of non-point loads for a year. These results show that the non-point pollutant delivery load should be estimated and applied for each reference flow, and in this case the method for estimating the non-point pollutant delivery load of each reference flow can be useful.

An equilibrium point of a WIP (Wheeled Inverted Pendulum) with changing its center of gravity is derived and validated by various numerical simulations. Generally, the WIP has two equilibrium points which are unstable and stable one. The unstable one is interested in this study. To keep the WIP over the unstable equilibrium point, the WIP is consistently being adjusted. A state feedback controller for the WIP needs a control reference for the equilibrium point. The control reference can be obtained by studying an equilibrium point of the WIP based on statics. By using Lagrange method, this study is deriving dynamic equations of the WIP both with and without changing its center of gravity. Various numerical simulations are carried out to show the validation of the equilibrium point.

The purpose of this paper is design and implement the invisible depth analysis tools. The developed algorithm was basically used reference plan method and to remove first step errors we mix-used point-to-point method. and we consider error due to curvature and refraction for large scale analysis. The final algorithm was developed as ArcToolBox tools, which can be considered convenient and public use as well; as result it reduced experimental errors as compared with conventional method and makes possible high resolution analysis for large scale site.

In this paper, Fingerprint matching method which is able to confirm one's identity using microcomputer is discussed. In matching method, fingerprint image is thinned and we extracted feature point data which is composed of position and direction of end-point and branch-point. Identification is conducted by decision of disagreement between reference finger print and input fingerprint us ing this extracted data. After averaging and binariztion process, thining method is conducted. Restoration process is carried out to seek precise feature pointdatd. We compensate position difference of reference fingerprint and input fingerprint, which is divied end-point and branch-point, and translated and rotated its position. Using this compensdate difference of position, we decide whether fingerp-print identity is true or not.

This study analyzes the uncertainty of the compensation method of a sensing error of three-DOF measuring system. This compensation method utilizes a reference coordinate system using a three point by moving a position of an endpoint of a three-DOF manipulator. The coordinate transformation between the three-DOF manipulator and the measuring system is identified by the reference coordinate system. According to the concept of this compensation method, each positioning error at any position of the end-point of the manipulator is derived. Uncertainty analyses of the compensation values on the basis of sensitivity analysis and Monte Carlo simulation are used to investigate a feasibility and effectiveness of the compensation method.

Interpolator is a very important element in NC machines in that it controls tool path and speed. In this paper, studied were extensive interpolation characteristics of reference pulse method among various interpolation and pulse generation methods. Specifically, processing speed and path error of DDA, SPD and SFG methods were compared and analyzed against line, circle and elipse. As a result, in the point of processing speed, SPD method was found to be the best for line interpolation, SFG method for circle and ellipse, and DDA method was found to be the slowest for all paths. In the point of path error, DDA method was found to have the biggest error for all kinds of paths.

In this paper, we propose the removal of search point using motion vector correlation and distance between reference frames in H.264/AVC. We remove the search points in full search method and predictive motion vectors in enhanced predictive zonal search method. Since the probability that the reference frame far from the current frame is selected as the best reference frame is decreased, we apply the weighted average based on distance between the current and reference frame to determine the fianl search range. In general, the size of search range is smaller than initial search range. We reduce motion estimation time using the final search range in full search method. Also, the refinement process is adaptively applied to each reference frame. The proposed methods reduce the computational throughput of full search method by 57.13% and of enhanced predictive zonal search by 14.71% without visible performance degradation.
In this study, in order to determine the validity and accuracy of MR imaging of 3D gradient dual echo 2-point DIXON technique for measuring abdominal adipose tissue volume and distribution, the measurements obtained by CT were set as a reference for comparison and their correlations were evaluated. CT and MRI scans were performed on each subject (17 healthy male volunteers who were fully informed about this study) to measure abdominal adipose tissue volume. Two skilled investigators individually observed the images acquired by CT and MRI in an independent environment, and directly separated the total volume using region-based thresholding segmentation method, and based on this, the total adipose tissue volume, subcutaneous adipose tissue volume and visceral adipose tissue volume were respectively measured. The correlation of the adipose tissue volume measurements with respect to the observer was examined using the Spearman test and the inter-observer agreement was evaluated using the intra-class correlation test. The correlation of the adipose tissue volume measurements by CT and MRI imaging methods was examined by simple regression analysis. In addition, using the Bland-Altman plot, the degree of agreement between the two imaging methods was evaluated. All of the statistical analysis results showed highly statistically significant correlation (p<0.05) respectively from the results of each adipose tissue volume measurements. In conclusion, MR abdominal adipose volumetry using the technique of 3D gradient dual echo 2-point DIXON showed a very high level of concordance even when compared with the adipose tissue measuring method using CT as reference.
With approval from the Asia Pacific Metrology Program Working Group on Materials Metrology (APMP WGMM), an international comparison for sheet resistance standards for silicon wafers was firstly conducted among Korea Research Institute of Standards and Science (KRISS) in Korea, CMS/ITRI in Taiwan, and NIM in China, which are national metrology institutes (NMIs), from August 2011 to January 2012. The sheet resistance values of the standards are $10{\Omega}$, $100{\Omega}$, and $1000{\Omega}$; the measurement was conducted in sequence at KRISS, CMS/ITRI, NIM, and KRISS again using the four-point probe method with single and dual configuration techniques. The reference value for the measurement results of the three NMIs was obtained through averaging the values of the three results for each sheet resistance range. The differences between the reference value and the measured values is within 0.22% for $10{\Omega}$, 0.17% for $100{\Omega}$, and 0.12% for $1000{\Omega}$. Therefore, the international consistency for conducting sheet resistance measurements is confirmed within 0.22% through the APMP WGMM approved comparison.

This paper proposes an automatic extraction method of control point based on Geospatial Web Service. The proposed method consists of 3 steps. 1) The first step is to acquires reference data using the Geospatial Web Service. 2) The second step is to finds candidate control points in reference data and the target image by SURF algorithm. 3) By using RANSAC algorithm, the final step is to filters the correct matching points of candidate control points as final control points. By using the Geospatial Web Service, the proposed method increases operation convenience, and has the more extensible because of following the OGC Standard. The proposed method has been tested for SPOT-1, SPOT-5, IKONOS satellite images and has been used military standard data as reference data. The proposed method yielded a uniform accuracy under RMSE 5 pixel. The experimental results proved the capabilities of continuous improvement in accuracy depending on the resolution of target image, and showed the full potential of the proposed method for military purpose.
