  • According to CORBA specification, there are some mechanisms for object reference management such as Naming Service and Trading service, but these mechanism cant's supply all functionalities needed fomanagement in MICS. So, We have designed and implemented additional special-purpose IPO manager. It provides load balancing service based on real-time information for IPO and fault-tolerable services with the management of redundant IPOs and also provides transparent configuration of client environment with the lists of registered IPOs.

Ice Hockey Research Data Platform from Official Records Data and Verification

  • In this study, a database was established by analyzing the record data research produced in ice hockey sports. The deployed data verification with Ice hockey reference service was demonstrated with ice hockey officials and players. This research utilized the data stored in the KNSU Datanest data repository and developed PDF parsers for batch processing of records. Among the types of records, the game summary, team roster, team statistics, and player statistics files were collected, and tables were extracted from the records. PDF records were converted to text in CSV format which are converted to DataFrame and loaded into the database. Out of the total 22 types of records, 4 types were constructed with OO data parsed as element values. Data verification has found no problems with the quality of the data deployed, showing a high satisfaction with providing 66 factors against the 30 factors provided by the service previously used.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient freedom of information and Information access right which improves transparent and speedy administration process. To build open Information, we scrutinize that causes of non access right and change of civil service consciousness, attitude for open information by effectively open system circumstances. The Important thing is basic information that is available to the public through an agency's FOIA Reference Guide, all agencies must notify potential FOIA requesters of the formal rules and requirements for the making and handling of FOIA request, through their FOIA regulations. The characteristics of this paper focused on Information access right, causes of non access right and proposed policy. In this paper, The author emphasize are as follows: first, to examine freedom of information' necessity and problem that scrutinize a theoretic analysis, second, to understand civil servant's attitude for the freedom of information, third, to suggest action plan and agenda for the better of Good Governance and Democracy of information.

  • This paper describes the development of a network-based passenger information system(PIS) which provides the convenience of the passenger of the train and heightens the effect of the subtitle service, the advertising and the shelter guidance broadcasting against the urgent event. The existing system uses VGA signal distributor in order to broadcast information with image and subtitle and voice guidance. In this paper we improve the existing system by applying the UDP and TCP/IP protocol and use a reference clock to solve a data loss and synchronization problem which occurs in this case. We also developed an XML-based subtitle authoring tool which can edit and play the subtitles with various 3D to improve the automatic guidance broadcasting and advertisement effect according to the operation schedule of the train. The system performance was evaluated through a simulation.

  • An Integrated Management Platform, which plays a core role in managing u-City, intelligently control various infra-structure components by accommodating a large number of sensors and devices; and analyzing data received from these sensors and devices through wired/wireless sensor networks. In this paper, the services provided by the integrated management platform for u-City are classified into common application service, operational management service, and platform gateway service, and furthermore detailed functions for each service are defined. These functions, through their roles and information flows, will clarify the requirements of the integrated management platform, and through their addition and modification will be utilized as a reference model for the functional organization of the integrated management platform.

  • Information service technology continues to develop, and information service continues to expand based on the IT convergence trend. The premeter-based security model chosen by many organizations can increase the effectiveness of security technologies. However, in the premeter-based security model, it is very difficult to deny security threats that occur from within. To solve this problem, a zero trust model has been proposed. The zero trust model requires authentication for user and terminal environments, device security environment verification, and real-time monitoring and control functions. The operating environment of the information service may vary. Information security management should be able to response effectively when security threats occur in various systems at the same time. In this study, we proposed a security policy distribution system in the object reference method that can effectively distribute security policies to many systems. It was confirmed that the object reference type security policy distribution system proposed in this study can support all of the operating environments of the system constituting the information service. Since the policy distribution performance was confirmed to be similar to that of other security systems, it was verified that it was sufficiently effective. However, since this study assumed that the security threat target was predefined, additional research is needed on the identification method of the breach target for each security threat.

  • This study purposed to discover whether or not academic libraries reflect these changing roles. We selected K University as the research target and surveyed user satisfaction of materials, staff services, facilities, electronic devices, media, and so on. The research findings are as follows: 1) the frequency of library visits of University K was on the high side, 2) the primary purpose of using the academic library was associated with learning or reading, therefore, the most used library spaces were related to that, 3) the most used library materials were 'general books', the most unused were 'reference books', 4) the most preferred way to obtain needed materials when failing to find wanted materials was 'Contact librarian'. A similar phenomenon occurred in terms of facility use, 5) university K's users were usually satisfied with the loan policy, 6) the rate of users who don't know whether there is user education was very high, the rate of users who have no experience with user education was extremely low. These research findings can be referenced by library management to improve libraries' service quality and take advantage of complex spatial configurations.

A Study on the Construction of Contents for Mobile Library Websites (도서관 모바일 웹사이트의 콘텐츠 구성에 관한 연구)

  • The information service of library is getting into a new paradigm as the smart phone usage increases. This study analyzes the contents reflected on the library mobile website to figure out the structural condition and features of the information. For this study, 26 academic libraries in U.S. are selected for an examination of their mobile websites, and the contents on the sites were analyzed. This study analyzed the most frequent type of contents provided in the mobile website. As a result, this study suggested the information structure and core contents of the mobile website in detail. The outcome of this study is expected to be a reference for building the mobile website of library.

The Effect of Perceived Information Control on the Knowledge Sharing Intention of the Social Network Service Users (인지된 정보 통제가 소셜 네트워크 이용자의 정보 제공 의도에 미치는 영향)

  • The evolution of IT facilitated the communication and knowledge sharing between the social network service (SNS) users. When the more information about SNS users had been posted in SNS site, SNS users had sometimes exposed in the risk of privacy invasion. To remedy this problem, we had introduced the information control mechanisms from the prior studies in data management to the SNS area and empirically validated the effect of these mechanisms in this research. Three information control mechanisms had been elected as access control, reference control and diffusion control. We had conducted a survey to the Facebook users which is the most famous SNS site. 459 data had been gathered and analyzed by PLS algorism. As the results, reference control and diffusion control has significantly increased the trust on SNS providers and decrease the privacy concern. This change could significantly affect on the satisfaction with the SNS site and knowledge sharing intention of SNS users. This study could introduce the new perspective about privacy protection issues in SNS area. Also, the information control mechanisms suggested in this study could contribute to make more robust privacy protection mechanisms in SNS site in practice.

Consumer Impairment and Its Improvement on Longterm Care Insurance Service : Focused on the Current Conditions and the Analysis of Counseling Cases in Korea and Japan (노인장기요양보험 서비스에 관한 소비자피해와 개선방안 : 한일 서비스이용현황 및 상담사례 분석을 중심으로)

  • This study looked into the current conditions in Korean and Japanese care management for the elderly, cases of consumer counseling in these countries, and the supporting institutions for Japanese users regarding the use of care management for the elderly. The number of recipients of care management for the elderly in both Korea and Japan is growing every year, and more Japanese users receive various services compared to Korean users. The results of an analysis on consumer counseling regarding the use of Korean and Japanese care management revealed, two types of complaints: counseling for the improvement of the institution and complaints related to the procurement of service. Regarding the insurance system, the complaints were mostly related to affirmation of a rating and the burden incurred by cost-sharing. Regarding the use of service, such key impairment cases were related to in-service medical accidents, illegal acts including caregiver contract violations and forced retirement, careless service by workers, and human rights violations of the elderly. Japan has developed governmental and, related-administrative and business services as well as a local governmental system to redress customer impairment issues as this pertains to service for better quality care management. In addition, they have enlarged the locally closed service, provided exact information about the services offered, and improved service appraisal techniques. The Japanese cases will serve as a good reference to improve the Korean system. In particular, the construction of a system that reduces customer losses and the availability of more counseling information are urgently required to improve the system in terms of customer experiences when they seek care management.
