A general stiffener element which includes transverse shear deformation(TSD) is formulated using the p-version of finite element method. Hierarchic C"-shape functions, derived from Integrals of Legendre polynomials, are used to define the assembled stiffness matrix of the stiffener and plate on the basis of 5 D.0.F displacement fields. The stiffness matrix for the stiffener with respect to the local reference frame is transformed to the plate reference system by applying the appropriate transformation matrices in order to insure compatibility of displacements at the junction of the stiffener and plate. The transformation matrices which account for the orientation and the eccentricity effects of the stiffener with respect to the plate reference axes are used to find local behavior at the junction of the stiffener and the relative contributions of the plate and stiffener to the strength of the composite system. The results obtained by the p-version of the finite element method are compared with the results in literatures, especially those by the h-version software, MICROFEAP-II.P-II.

An engineering estimation equation for the crack opening displacement(COD) is proposed for a complex cracked pipe, based on the reference stress approach. To define the reference stress, a simple plastic limit load analysis for the complex cracked pipe subjected to combined bending and tension is performed considering the crack closure effect in the compressive-stressed region. Comparison with ten published test data and the results from existing method shows that the present method not only reduces non-conservatism associated with the existing method, but also provides consistent and overall satisfactory results.

This paper aims to investigate the use of reference and substitution as cohesion devices by advanced Korean EFL writers and English native writers. Twelve research articles (totaling 218 pages, 93,033 words) written in English were collected in academic journals. Half of the research articles were prepared by Koreans and the other half were written by native writers. Several demonstrative pronouns, personal pronouns and demonstrative adverbs were selected as referential cohesion devices for this study. Three substitutional cohesion devices were also chosen. Their frequency was investigated at first, after which their preference was analyzed. There was not much difference in the overall use of cohesion devices between the two groups. Some devices were used by Korean writers more often than native ones. Reasons for this could be high English proficiency of Korean writers, their hyper-correction or the influence of Korean culture. Other more distinctive cohesion features such as conjunctions are recommended for analysis of cohesion in future research.

Banwol bridge with steel plate girder and Pyongtaek bridge with PSC bos girder have been operated maintenance measuring system by the Seoul-Chonan of Kyongbu express railway. By analyzing the theoretical and experimental values of design load for these two bridge, the establishment of reference maintenance for measuring items was deduced from research. Two materials, steel and concrete plates, were considered as the upper structure. Actual measurement data for the behavior under speed, structural analysis results, and the presented references were analyzed and used to set up the reference establishment. The measuring items are stress(strain), displacement, dynamic acceleration, expansion movement, and dynamic frequency. The maintenance reference was established by comparing analytical and measuring values of the five items with respect to structural state class.

In this paper, the speed regulation problem of permanent synchronous motor (PMSM) systems under the vector control framework is studied. A model reference adaptive controller (MRAC) based on the Lyapunov stability theory is first designed. Since the standard MRAC method provides poor disturbance rejection performance in the case of strong disturbances, a composite control method which combines the MRAC method and the disturbance estimation method, called the MRAC+ESO method, is proposed. An extended state observer (ESO) is introduced to estimate the lumped disturbances. The obtained estimated value acts as a feedforward compensation term to the MRAC controller. A stability analysis of the composite control method is given. Simulation and experimental results are presented and compared to show the effectiveness of the proposed control method.

본 연구는 대부분의 도서관업무가 전자적으로 이루어지고 있는 환경 하에서 국내 대학도서관들의 홈페이지 상에 나타난 전자 참고서비스시스템을 위한 액세스 포인트에 관하여 분석한 내용이다. 전국의 국공립 및 사립대학 도서관을 조사 대상으로 하였으며, 이들의 홈페이지에 제시된 액세스 방법에 따라 3개의 집단으로 분류하고, 세 집단의 액세스 포인트 제시 방법의 장·단점을 통해 이용자가 참고서비스에 접근하는데 필요한 편의성과 명확성에 대하여 논의하였다. 홈페이지 구축상 이용자가 전자 참고서비스에 효율적으로 액세스하기 위한 바람직한 방향을 제안하였다.

In this paper, a new technique for attitude and heading reference system (AHRS) using low-cost MEMS sensors of the gyroscope, accelerometer, and magnetometer is addressed particularly in vibration environments. The motion of MEMS sensors interact with the scale factor and cross-coupling errors to produce random errors by the harsh environment. A new adaptive attitude estimation algorithm based on the Kalman filter is developed to overcome these undesirable side effects by analyzing windowed measurement error covariance. The key idea is that performance degradation of accelerometers, for example, due to linear vibrations can be reduced by the proposed measurement error covariance analysis. The computed error covariance is utilized to the measurement covariance of Kalman filters adaptively. Finally, the proposed approach is verified by using numerical simulations and experiments in an acceleration phase and/or vibrating environments.

It is difficult to determine an appropriate discount price for daily perishable products to increase profit from a long-term standpoint. Even if the discount pricing is efficient to increase profit of the day, consumers memorize the sales price and they might hesitate to purchase the product at a regular price the following day. The authors discussed the inventory clearance pricing for a single period in our previous study by constructing a mathematical model to derive an optimal sales price to maximize the expected profit by considering the reference price effect of demand. This paper extends the discussion to handle the discount pricing for multiple periods. A mathematical analysis is first conducted to reveal the properties on an objective function, which is the present value of total expected profits for multiple periods. An algorithm is then proposed to derive an optimal price for asymmetric consumers. Numerical experiments investigate the characteristics of the objective function and optimal pricings.

허프변환은 에지 영상에서 직선을 검출하는 대표적인 알고리즘이다. 허프변환은 에지 화소에서 발생 가능한 직선들의 파라미터들을 파라미터 공간상에 대응시키고, 주어진 조건을 만족하는 유효 파라미터를 직선으로 검출한다. 일반적인 허프변환에서는 직선의 파라미터들은 영상 원점을 기준점으로 계산되고 있다. 그러나 본 논문에서는 영상 중심이 기준점인 허프변환을 수행하고 그 성능을 기존 허프변환과 비교분석하고 있다.

제5의 전장인 사이버 공간은 전자기 스펙트럼을 이용하여 사이버 공간과 물리 공간 사이에서 다영역 기동에 활용될 수 있다. 이것은 사이버전과 전자전의 특징을 융합하는 사이버전자전의 주요 개념이 된다. 본 연구에서는 OSI 참조 모델을 활용하고, 2계층 데이터링크 계층의 위협 요소를 살펴봄으로써, 사이버전자전 개념을 분석한다.
