Secret sharing is an effective way of protecting secret messages. However, the traditional secret sharing schemes are considered meaningless due to malicious people attention which might raise risks. To overcome the weakness, this paper presents an effective secret sharing scheme with the functionality of cheater identification, based on meaningful QR code. The secret message will be split and concealed in the padding region of cover QR codes with the assistance of Latin square and it can be completely restored when all the involved participants cooperate. The concealing strategy exploits the characteristic of Reed-Solomon (RS) code to ensure the strong robustness of generated QR code pseudo-shares. The meaningful QR code pseudo-shares help to reduce the curious of unrelated persons. Some experiments were done to evaluate the performance of proposed scheme. The results showed that the proposed scheme is feasible, efficient and secure compared to the other existing schemes. It also achieves a higher secret payload and maintains stronger robustness.

This paper studies the Turbo Codes, the concatenation of Turbo Codes and Reed-Solomon (RS) codes on Orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) in digital communication channel, and then analysis the performances of the new concatenated Forward Error Correct (FEC) scheme applied to an OFDM system based on the digital terrestrial video broadcasting (DVB-T) scheme. We compared the results with the standard DVB-T convolutional codes performances on Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) channels. The simulation results shown that by employing turbo codes with only a few numbers of iterations, the performances of the overall system can be improved significantly. These results will be obtained by applying an appropriate interleaver technique in the concatenated FEC procedure.

In this paper the decoder of nonbinary code satisfying R>1/t has been designed and constructed, where R is the code rate and t is the error correcting capability. In order to design the error trapping decoder, the concept of covering monomial is used and them the decoder system using the (15, 11) Reed-Solomon code is implemented. Without Galois Fiedl multiplication and division circuits, the decoder system is simply constructed. In the decoding process, it takes 60clocks to decode one code word. Two symbol errors and eight binary burst errors are simultaneously corrected. This coding system is shown to be efficient when the channel error probability is approximately from $5{\times}10^-4$~$5{\times}10^-5$.

This paper describes error resilient coding scheme is added in WLL system and its application for robust low-bit rate still image transmission over power controlled W-CDA system Rayleigh fading channels. The baseline JPEG compressing methods are uses in image coding over wireless channel. The channel uses Reed-Solomon(RS) outer codes concatenated with convolutional inner codes, and truncated type I hybrid ARQ protocol based on the selective repeat strategy and the RS error detection capability. Simulation results are proved for the statistics of the frame-error bursts of the proposed system in comparison with conventional WLL system. it gains the 2 dB of the Eb/No in same BER.
This paper expands an analytical performance model of 802.11 to accurately estimate throughput and energy demand of 802.11-based wireless sensor network (WSN) when sensor nodes employ Reed-Solomon (RS) codes, one of block forward error correction (FEC) techniques. This model evaluates these two metrics as a function of the channel bit error rate (BER) and the RS symbol size. Since the basic recovery unit of RS codes is a symbol not a bit, the symbol size affects the WSN performance even if each packet carries the same amount of FEC check bits. The larger size is more effective to recover long-lasting error bursts although it increases the computational complexity of encoding and decoding RS codes. For applying the extended model to WSNs, this paper collects traffic traces from a WSN consisting of two TIP50CM sensor nodes and measures its energy consumption for processing RS codes. Based on traces, it approximates WSN channels with Gilbert models. The computational analyses confirm that the adoption of RS codes in 802.11 significantly improves its throughput and energy efficiency of WSNs with a high BER. They also predict that the choice of an appropriate RS symbol size causes a lot of difference in throughput and power waste over short-term durations while the symbol size rarely affects the long-term average of these metrics.

In digital communications systems, an interleaver spreads burst errors occurred in channels and makes it random errors. As a result, the signals are rearranged and encrypted to the 3rd party. Deinterleaving this unknown interleaved signal is very important in electronic warfare and various researches on reconstruction of interleaved signal have been studied in the literature. Unlike previous researches which is mainly about helical scan interleaver or bit unit interleaver, in this paper, we estimate the symbol unit convolutional interleavr and shortened Reed-Solomon code parameters such as the number of stages of interleaver, a codeword length and a data symbol length and propose an specific algorithm to obtain the parameters from the unknown interleaved signal and simulate this algorithm as well.

We propose a new code-based publick key encryption scheme. It is obtained by modifying the Augot and Finiasz scheme proposed at Eurocrypt 2003. We replace the Reed-Solomon codes with general algebraic-geometry codes and employ Guruswami-Sudan decoding algorithm for decryption. The scheme is secure against Colon's attack or Kiayias and Yung's attack to which the Augot and Finiasz scheme is vulnerable. Considering basic attacks aprlied to the Augot and Finiasz scheme, we claim that the proposed scheme provides similar security levels as the Augot and Finiasz scheme was claimed to provide for given key lengths.

For the purpose of error correcting, a concatenated coding system has been proposed by cascading two codes-(7, 3) Reed-Solomon and (2, 1, 6) convolutional codes. As a result of the result of the computer simulation and the experiment, the (98.21) concatenated code has been show to be able to correct 12 randome error and 16 bust errors. When the channel error is about 1.2x10, this system indicats most efficient.

일반적으로 2N+A만큼의 Latency Time과 FIFO 개수를 N+A 만큼으로 감소시켰다. 이 RS 디코더는 Verilog HDL로 설계되었고 Synopsys Design Compiler에 의해 합성되었다.
