  • The steering wheel vibrations such as shimmy, brake judder and shake are affected by the vibration characters of steering and suspension. For the analysis of shimmy, nonuniformities of tire can be considered the major sources. This study investigates unbalances and uniformities of tire in which the lateral force variation is highly correlated with shimmy. The hardness of suspension bushes can be modified to change the dynamic behavior of suspension that is effective to reduce the sensitivity of shimmy.

  • In this study, to reduce vibration of step motor we use Microstep control. Microstep control of stepmotor is usually thought of as an extension of conventional stepmotor control technology. The essence ofmicro stepping is that we divide the full step of a stepmotor into a number of substep called microstep and cause the stepmotor to move through a substep per input pulse. In ideal case, bycontrolling the individual phase currents of a two-phase step motor sinusoidally we can get uniform torque and step angles. But due to the monlinear characteristics of the step motor, we need to compensate current waveform to improve the overall smoothness of the conventional micro stepping system. We implement digital Pulse Width Modulation(PWM) driver to drive step motor and microphone was used for detecting vibration. Driver enables speed change automatically byincreasing or decreasing micro stepping ratio which we call Automatic Switching on the Fly. To compensate the torque harmonics, Neural Networks is applied to the system and we foundcompensated optimal input current waveform. Finally we can get smooth motion of step motor in a wide range of motor speed.

  • In this study, we suggested a design modification method to reduce the vibration of an air conditioner for railway vehicles and increase the durability of its pipe lines. Through experimental vibrational mode analyses and structural modifications on the air conditioning system, vibration reduction scheme was suggested and evaluated its effectiveness by empirical modal analysis. The derived design idea was applied to a real air conditioning system and the expected improvement was obtained.

  • On the foundation work of Po-Ryong power plant #3 & #4. It was 30meters away from the running states of #1 & #2 plant site. In order to protect the #1 & #2 power plant facilities & factory structure. Allowable vibration was required below 0.07 gal. Therefore, it had to set up the anti-vibration trench to reduce the vibration reference and secondary. I applied the low gravity and low velocity explosives with M/S delay caps by cautious blasting pattern.

  • Vibrational characteristics and tension fluctuation of a translating wire in WEDM are the main problems to deteriorate the cutting accuracy and processing performance. In this paper, we analyze natural frequencies of the wire used in WEDM, both theoretically and experimentally. To reduce the tension variation of the wire. which directly affects cutting performance. we have designed a simply tension reduction device using springs and rollers. It is shown that tension fluctuation is reduced about 25% using the passive tension controller.

  • 본 논문에서는 지반 기진력을 받는 5층의 시험 구조물의 전동 레벨을 줄이기 위해 AC 서보모터를 이용한 복합 질량 감쇠기를 설계 및 제작하여, 5층의 시험구조물을 랜덤 및 지진 파형으로 가진하였을 때의 복합 질량 감소기와 동조 질량 감쇠기의 효과 및 제어 성능을 실험을 통해 비교 분석하였다. 이를 통해 복합질량 감쇠기는 동조 질량 감쇠기에 비하여 특히 과도 상태의 지진이 구조물의 2개 모드 이상을 동시에 가진할 경우에 구조물의 진동을 줄임에 훨씬 더 유용함을 확인하였다.
