  • To increase accurateness and reliability of the evaluation of power tool vibration transmitted to an operator, it is necessary to measure the grip and feed forces during the measurement of hand-transmitted vibration. In the study a system was invented to measure the vibration and the grip and/or feed force, which consists of a measurement handle and a PC with a data acquisition system and the corresponding software. Strain gauges and an accelerometer were mounted on the handle surface for the simultaneous measurement of the forces and the vibration. The program in the system makes it possible to monitor the grip and feed force during the tool operation so that the operator keeps the applying forces within the pre-determined range. Investigating the vibration total values, frequency-weighted root-mean-square accelerations at the handle, obtained in repetition for each power tool with control of the grip and feed force showed more consistency than those measured without force control. By using the system the experimenter can reduce random error of the measured vibration.

  • Floor impact sound level is affected by various factors. This study was examined about impact sources and floor coverings influenced at floor impact sound. So this study wishes to get method to reduce sound pressure level of receiving room. Light-weight impact sound in mid frequency and Heavy-weight impact sound in low frequency was affected by floor coverings. Therefore, method to reduce floor impact sound level is to use proper floor coverings. Some coverings can amplify the heavy-weight impact sound in low frequency. Floor impact sound sources used measurement and analysis were standard heavy-impact source(Tapping, Bang, Ball) and living impact sources(Cleaner, Chair, Toy-car, Soccer ball). And Floor coverings used measurements were various thickness vinyl, laminate(or ply-wood) floor. Especially vinyl floor coverings were very effective method to reduce floor impact.

  • In a high-speed press, numerous moving links are interconnected and each link executes a constrained motion at high speed. As a consequence, high-level dynamic unbalance force and unbalance moment are transmitted to the main frame of the press, which results in unwanted vibration and significantly degrades manufacturing accuracy. Dynamic unbalance force and unbalance moment inevitably transmits high-level vibrational force to the foundation on which the press is installed. Minimizing the vibrational force transmitted to the foundation is critical for the protection of both the operators and the surrounding structures. The whole task should be carried out in two steps. The first step is to reduce dynamic unbalance based upon kinematic and dynamic analyses. The second step is to design and build an optimal vibration isolation system minimizing the vibrational force transmitted to the foundation. Firstly, the dynamic design method is presented to reduce dynamic unbalance force and moment. For this a 3D CAD software was utilized and a computer program was written to compute dynamic unbalance force and moment. Secondly, the design method for vibration isolation system is presented. The method for designing coil springs and viscous dampers are explained in detail.

  • The assessment of specific impacts on the environment is a preventive measure for environmental protection which is based on the definition and proposal of measures that can prevent harmful effects, reduce or eliminate them. In the physical sense, vibration is the oscillating motion of an object with the effect of internal or external forces applied to it. People who touch a vibrating surface or object will feel these vibrations. In general, there are two types of vibration exposure. The first are the vibrations of the hands and arms transmitted by the held parts of tools or machinery. The second are whole-body vibrations transmitted from a seat or surface to a motorized car. The risk of injury to workers exposed to vibration varies depending on the size, frequency, type, duration of exposure, and organ affected. The purpose of this paper is to review the measurements of vibrations in the Kosovo Energy Corporation in the mine Sibovc Southwest, where coal with a rotary excavator is exploited and the evaluation of vibrations for working conditions for workers working in that environment and improving working conditions for the measurement of vibrations we have used the device Minimate DS 078, the purpose of such environmental impact assessment is to collect data and predict the harmful impacts on the environment, namely the impact on water, air, soil, life and health of as well as identify and propose measures that could prevent, reduce or eliminate altogether.

  • Recently agriculture has been intelligenced and automatized because the number of agricultural population is reduced, and the various agricultural machine is developed and utilized actively, In these agricultural automation system, the solenoid valve is widely used for the supply of water and fertilizer to the plant and soil. In this solenoid valve system, AC excitation solenoid valve is widely used because of economic merit and simple system scheme. However, the instantaneous chattering vibration and noise of plunger caused by the alternative MMF variation is very important performance characteristics. In order to reduce vibration the DC excitation solenoid valve is sometimes applied for the high-end applications. In this case, the control circuit is essential to control DC excitation current. It may causes the cost increase and system complexity and it is not suitable for the outdoor agricultural machine. In this paper, the electromagnetic structural improvement of AC solenoid valve is studied to reduce the dynamic vibration and noise. As an economical solution, the shading coil is additionally implemented to the conventional solenoid valve. As a result of this study, the vibration and acoustic noise is largely reduced by the compensating MMF of shading coil and it is verified by the test of prototype.

  • This paper highlights a study undertaken on the free vibration of a precast steel-concrete composite slab panel for track support. The steel-concrete composite slab track is an evolvement from the slab track, a form of ballastless track which is becoming increasingly attractive to asset owners as they seek to reduce lifecycle costs and deal with increasing rail traffic speeds. The slender nature of the slab panel due to its reduced depth of construction makes it susceptible to vibration problems. The aim of the study is driven by the need to address the limited research available to date on the dynamic behaviour of steel-concrete composite slab panels for track support. Free vibration analysis of the track slab has been carried out using ABAQUS. Both eigenfrequencies and eigenmodes have been extracted using the Lanczos method. The fundamental natural frequencies of the slab panel have been identified together with corresponding mode shapes. To investigate the sensitivity of the natural frequencies and mode shapes, parametric studies have been established, considering concrete strength and mass and steel's modulus of elasticity. This study is the world first to observe crossover phenomena that result in the inversion of the natural orders without interaction. It also reveals that replacement of the steel with aluminium or carbon fibre sheeting can only marginally reduce the natural frequencies of the slab panel.
