In order to make full color cholesteric displays, color filter-less R, G, B sub-pixel structured cholesteric LC cells have been studied. To make R, G, B colors, UV induced pitch variant chiral dopant was added to cholesteric LC mixtures. The concentration of the photo-sensitive chiral dopant was adjusted so that the initial state showed blue color and the color was changed from blue to green and red with increase of UV irradiation to the cholesteric cells. To prevent the mixing of R, G, B reflective sub-pixel liquid crystals, separation walls were formed using negative photo resister in boundary area between sub-pixels, Through the optimization of the material concentrations and UV irradiation condition, vivid R, G, B colors were achieved.
Purpose: The repeatability of a new Red-Blue phoria chart test (Red-Blue phoria chart; RBP) was appreciated. Methods: Distance (5 m) and near (40 cm) heterophoria was measured in 38 visually normal subjects. Phoria tests using RBP, Howell phoria card (HP), and MIM card (MIM) were done and the repeatability of each phoria test was compared with one another. Results: The mean of horizontal deviations was that RBP was $-0.602{\pm}0.727{\Delta}$, HP was $-0.865{\pm}1.051{\Delta}$, and MIM was $-1.501{\pm}1.346{\Delta}$, at distance, and that RBP was $-2.566{\pm}2.352{\Delta}$, HP was $-2.804{\pm}2.411{\Delta}$, MIM was $-3.838{\pm}2.603{\Delta}$, at near. The repeatability was RBP>MIM>HP in distance tests and MIM>RBP>HP in near tests. Conclusions:RBP test is identified as a reliable phoria test having high repeatability.
Biofilm formation of multifunctional plant growth promoting rhizobacterium (PGPR), Pseudomonas fluorescens 2112 is necessary for P. fluorescens 2112 to have a positive impact on the rhizosphere of red-pepper. This study investigated whether signal molecules of the quorum sensing AHLs are produced in order to confirm biofilm formative ability. Through the use of Petri dish bioassays a blue circle formed evidence of AHLs. It was confirmed that P. fluorescens 2112 produced six-carbon-chain-long AHLs by TLC bioassay. The bacterial density of P. fluorescens 2112 on the top and bottom of pepper plant roots was estimated as $3{\times}10^5$ and $8{\times}10^3$ CFU/g root, respectively. P. fluorescens 2112 exist more with high-density of $3.5{\times}10^6$ CFU/g soil at a depth of 1 cm but at a low-density of $1.1{\times}10$ CFU/g soil at a depth of 5 cm, from the surface of rhizosphere soil. In addition, biofilm formation of P. fluorescens 2112 on the epidermises and the tips of the red-pepper roots were confirmed visually by SEM. Thus, the production of AHLs by P. fluorescens 2112 brings about quorum sensing signaling and the formation of biofilm on the roots which has a positive effect on economically important crops such as red-pepper by additionally producing a variety of antifungal substances and auxin.

This experiment present the automatic detection algorithm of gastric cancer that take second place among all cancers. If an inflammation and a cancer are not examined carefully, early ones have difficulty in being diagnosed as illnesses than advanced ones. For diagnosis of gastric cancer, and progressing cancer in this study, present 4 algorithm. research team extracted an abnormal part in stomach through the endoscope image. At first, decide to use shading technique or not in each endoscope image for study. it make easy distinguish to whether tumor is existing or not by putting shading technique in or eliminate it by the color. Second. By passing image subjoin shading technique to erosion filter, eliminate noise and make give attention to diagnose. Third. Analyzing out a line and fillet graph from image adding surface shade and detect RED value according to degree of symptoms. Fourth. By suggesting this algorithm, that making each patient's endscope image into subdivision graph including RED graph value, afterward revers the color, revealing the position of tumor, this study desire to help to diagnosing gastric, other cancer and inflammation.
Purpose: To find optimized luminosity factor of color from light transmission filter. Methods: To make $Y_{1-x}G_{x}$, $Y_{1-x}P_{x}$ by using CR-39 compound within dipping method, mixing up Y(Yellow), G(green) and P(pink) for optimize eye sensitivity. Modeling for relative luminous efficiency(relative sensitivity) curves in Luminose transmission, it could be resolved by Multiplying sensitivity of eye within transmission rate of Lens ($P_f({\lambda}=T({\lambda}){\cdot}P({\lambda}).)$.). To evaluate Wavelength between 400~700 nm, relative luminous efficiency curve in Area and Height value is being used. Results: In color filter of $Y_{1-x}G_{x}$ position of x equals to 0.04, 0.1, 0.08, 0.12, 0.14, 0.5 at ${\beta}=S_1/S_0{\cdot}100$ each consist value of 76.1, 77.9, 80.7, 81.6, 80.2, 18.6 In color filter of $Y_{1-x}P_{x}$ position of x equals to 1.00, 0.2, 0.6, 0.8 at ${\beta}=S_1/S_0{\cdot}100$ each consist value of 74.3, 74.0, 70.5, 33.0 The result from experiment $Y_{1-x}P_{x}$ value less than $Y_{1-x}G_{x}$, from evaluating luminous efficiency curve and test was successfully optimized. Conclusions: Optimized relative luminous efficiency curve result have value of X=0.12-0.14 at $Y_{1-x}G_{x}$.
Red tilapia fingerlings were tested for 45 days on the growth rate in a closed recirculating water system omitting filter bed and was compared with common carp fingerlings grown together in the same tank and also with red tilapia fingerlings grown in a well conditioned conventional pond. The tank water was kept in deepgreen colour by heavy phytoplankton bloom during the most of the experimental period and duckweeds, Lemna sp. and water hyacinth, Eichhornia crassipes were put to grow in the parts of the water system. Total ammonia level in the tank was mostly kept at about 5 to 7 ppm, with a fluctuation between 3.4 and 11.2 ppm. Average daily growth rate of the tilapia in the experimental tank was $6.5112\%$ without any mortality, compared to $3.617\%$ for common carp fingerlings involving some mortality in the same tank, and to $5.7712\%$ for the tilapia grown in the conventional pond. The feed used for the experiment was one prepared for the rearing of common carp, and the duckweed grown in parts of the water system was routinely collected and fed to the tilapia in the tank as supplementary diet probably satisfying unknown growth factors.
Using PCR amplification, we cloned a cellulase gene (ce/H) from the Bacillus subtilis AH18 which has plant growth-promoting activity and antagonistic ability against pepper blight caused by Phytophthora capsici. The 1.6 kb PCR fragment contained the full sequence of the cellulase gene and the 1,582 bp gene deduced a 508 amino acid sequence. Similarity search in protein database revealed that the cellulase of B. subtilis AH18 was more than 98% homologous in the amino acid sequence to those of several major Bacillus spp. The ce/H was expressed in E. coli under an IPTG inducible lac promoter on the vector, had apparent molecular weight of about 55 kDa upon CMC-SDS-PAGE analysis. Partially purified cellulase had not only cellulolytic activity toward carboxymethyl-cellulose (CMC) but also insoluble cellulose, such as Avicel and filter paper (Whatman No. 1). In addition, the cellulase could degrade a fungal cell wall of Phytophthora capsici. The optimum pH and temperature of the ce/H coded cellulase were determined to be pH 5.0 and $50^{\circ}C$. The enzyme activity was activated by $AgNO_3$ or $CoCl_2$. However its activity was Inhibited by $HgC1_2$. The enzyme activity was activated by hydroxy urea or sodium azide and inhibited by CDTA or EDTA. The results indicate that the cellulase gene, ce/H is an antifungal mechanism of B. subtilis AH18 against phytophthora blight disease in red-pepper.
Many studies on polydiacetylene(PDA) have been investigated to apply to chemical and biological sensors due to their unique optical properties of color change from blue to red and fluorescence change from non-fluorescence to red fluorescence. Especially, high sensitivity against specific molecules is very important to apply polydiacetylenes to various sensors. In this study, we examined the effect of sensitivity enhancement of 10,12-pentacosadynoic acid(PCDA) vesicles in detection ${\alpha}$-cyclodextrin(CD) according to control of vesicle size by filters with different pore sizes and polymerization temperature. Colorimetric response(CR) was calculated using visible spectrometer. In order to investigate the effect of vesicle size on sensitivity of PDA vesicles, two PCDA vesicles were filtered without filtration and with 0.22 ${\mu}m$ filter. The two PCDA vesicles were polymerized at $25^{\circ}C$ and were incubated with ${\alpha}$-CD(5 mM) for 30 min. The CRs of the former and latter vesicles were 31.4% and 74.0%, respectively. Then, two PCDA vesicles filtered with 0.22 ${\mu}m$ filter were polymerized at $25^{\circ}C$ and $5^{\circ}C$ and were reacted with ${\alpha}$-CD(5 mM) for 30 min to examine the effect of polymerization temperature. The CRs of the former and latter vesicles were 74.0 and 99.2%, respectively. This suggests that vesicle sizes and polymerization temperature are key factors in enhancing the sensitivity of PDA vesicles. In addition, these results are expected to be useful to apply the PDA vesicles as biosensors to detect DNA, protein, and cells.
