Study on Reillumination of Hi-soo type Electronic Manometer (희수식 전자 맥진기의 재조명)

  • In early 1970s, Electronic Manometers were researched and developed for modernization and objectification of pulse diagnosis. Method of finger pressing, also known as cuffs pressing, is essential for sensing a pulse wave. I think comprehension and deduction of problem from the existing Hi-soo type electronic manometer, will be important for making a better one. The Hi-soo type electronic manometer is constructed of cuff pressing type sensor, differential amplifier, transmitter and recorder. Pulse movement and pulse wave, gauging blood flow, is analyzed by pulse image of "Yixuerumen(醫學入門)". At standard of pulse wave, huanmai(緩脈) is distinguish from chishu(slow and fast, 遲數), fushen(float and sink, 浮沈), interference wave, modificated wave, and phase angel. The Hi-soo type electronic manometer had no explanation of formational mechanism, significantly different with pulse wave which is early known and reported. The strength of Hi-soo type electric manometer is use of cuff pressing type sensor. Above all, the importance of electric manometer is reading the pulse movement accurately then expressing it as pulse wave. From now on the improvement of precise sensor should make a progress.

  • In this paper, we designed and implemented a personal VOD server using multi-thread for the real-time services of video data to the users. The system consists of service manager, disk manager, and network manager. The service manager controls the user admission to the system using the VBR(Variable Bit Rate) characteristics of MPEG (Moving Picture Experts Group) video data. The disk manager provides the functions for VCR-like operations. The disk manager reads blocks from the disk by the size of GOP(Group of Pictures) and buffers the data to the user's thread. The network manager uses TCP/IP for the communication between the server and the client. The communication starts from the client and the VOD server must respond to this request. The implemented personal VOD system shows an acceptable performance.

  • A Development of a data logger for monitoring wasted water is introduced. A characteristics of the system with microcontroller are simple and cheaper. A portable RAM card is consisted for saving a monitored data. Serial communication is adopted to communicate with a remote monitoring computer. CSMA/CD, which is used widely as MAC(Medium Access Control) in ethernet, is modified to apply a RS485 serial communication. When the measured values run over a limit values, the data logger takes alarm.

  • The EDR(Event Data Recorder) is a part of the ACU(Airbag Control Unit) functions mounted on a vehicle. EDR data have pre-crash data and post-crash data. Pre-crash data are recorded within 5 sec from time zero(AE) with 0.5 sec resolution, and reveal vehicle speed, engine rotation speed, throttle opening, brake pedal operation, acceleration pedal position and steering angle, etc. Using this EDR data, the investigation of a traffic accident can become more objective and scientific. Crash tests of three vehicles equipped with EDR function had been performed successfully. Evaluation of EDR data reliability had also been performed using Vbox and PC-Crash's sequence table function. Based on the results, we could confirm EDR data's reliability and availability for Traffic Accident Analysis by the series of this process.

  • In this paper Ubiquitous Medical Electronic Device Export was defined, and it's job analysis. The authors have been defined the job and classified duties and tasks of Ubiquitous Medical Electronic Device Export. To fine what is the most efficient task for Ubiquitous Medical Electronic Device Export, we have been investigated the levels of importance, difficulty, frequency and entry in each task. A DACUM committee is composed of total 12 members, which are one facilitator, 10 panel members, one coordinator & recorder to analyze the job of Ubiquitous Medical Electronic Device Export. Following is the result of this study. First, The process began with the identification of a job title and definition of Ubiquitous Medical Electronic Device Export. Second, a job model of Ubiquitous Medical Electronic Device Export is constructed based on the results of DACUM job analysis. 5 duties and 33 tasks are analyzed. Third, occupational specification was drawn up in consultation with SME council. Fourth, duty specification was drawn up in consultation. 33 tasks that are essential in entry level of occupation are identified. Fifth, task specification was drawn up in consultation. Detail task component which include skill, materials, knowledge, equipment, achievement level and tool was specified in task specification.

  • 근래 정부에서는 차량용 블랙박스의 필요성과 효율성을 인식해 모든 차량에 블랙박스(EDR, Event Data Recorder)를 의무적으로 장착하게 하고, 이를 통해 차량의 운행 정보와 상황을 모니터 및 관리를 할 수 있도록 정부 시책을 신설하고 이를 추진하고 있는 중이다. 특히 차량사고 발생시 이를 시뮬레이션하고 분석할 수 있는 자료가 매우 부족하다. 교통사고의 시뮬레이션 사고 차량의 운행정보뿐만 아니라 주변 운행환경 및 운행여건, 다른 차량의 간섭 등 매우 많은 정보가 필요하기 때문이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 블랙박스 간 Ad-hoc network을 이용해 차량의 정보를 공유 할 수 있는 시스템을 제안하고자 한다. 즉, 차량에서 돌발상황이 발생했을 때 발생 차량의 블랙박스 의 정보와 주변 운행하고 있는 차량에 장착되어 있는 블랙박스의 정보를 Ad-hoc network를 통해 사고 발생차량으로 수집, 이를 저장하고 추후사고에 대한 시뮬레이션 에서 이 데이터들을 통해 돌발상황 당시의 주변 차량 흐름과 다른 차량간의 간섭 및 돌발상황 유발 같은 현상을 조금 더 정확하게 시뮬레이션 함으로서 돌발상황에 대한 분석 및 판단에 도움을 줄 것이라 생각한다.

A Study on the Estimation of Lift/Drag Using the Flight Data (비행 데이터를 이용한 양항비 추정에 관한 연구)

  • During flight the analysis of aircraft data recorded has played an important role in determining the causes of accidents. However, using the QAR, recently some airlines have begun to analyze flight data from uneventful airline flights to identify potential problems and correct them before they lead to accident. This paper, after the flight using the recorded data in QAR, proposes an estimated method which determines CL/CD values. The generalized aircraft dynamic equations were expressed as an estimated equation, which verified the effectiveness with simulation. The results of the present method showed that the understand of variation values of CL/CD is of great use for performance enhancement.

  • A reactor protection system (RPS) plays the roles of generating the reactor trip signal and the engineered safety features (ESF) actuation signal when the monitored plant processes reach predefined limits. A Korean project group is developing a new digitalized RPS and the Cabinet Operator Module (COM) of the RPS which is used for the RPS integrity testing and monitoring by an equipment operator. A flat panel display (FPD) with a touch screen capability is provided as a main user interface for the RPS operation. To support the RPS COM user interface design, actually the FPD screen design, we developed a user interface style guide because the system designer could not properly deal with the many general human factors design guidelines. To develop the user interface style guide, various design guideline gatherings, a walk-though with a video recorder, guideline selection with respect to user interface design elements, determination of the properties of the design elements, discussion with the system designers, and a conversion of the properties into a screen design were carried out. This paper describes the process in detail and the findings in the course of the style guide development.

  • This paper presents a new one-terminal numerical algorithm for fault location estimation and for faults recognition. The proposed algorithm are derived for the case of most frequent single-phase line to ground fault in the time domain. The arc voltage wave shape is modeled numerically on the basis of a great number of arc voltage records obtained by transient recorder. From the calculated arc voltage amplitude it can make a decision whether the fault is permanent of transient. In this paper the algorithm uses a very short data window and enables fast fault detection and classification for real-time transmission line protection. To test the validity of the proposed algorithm the Electro-Magnetic Transient Program(EMTP/ATP) is used.

The proposed algorithm is also based on the synchronized voltage and current phasor measured from the PMUs(Phasor Measurement Units) installed at both ends of the transmission lines. Also the arc voltage wave shape is modeled numerically on the basis of a great number of arc voltage records obtained by transient recorder. From the calculated arc voltage amplitude it can make a decision whether the fault is permanent or transient. In this paper the algorithm is given and estimated using DFT(Discrete Fourier Transform) and the LES(Least Error Squares Method). The algorithm uses a very short data window and enables fast fault detection and classification for real-time transmission line protection. To test the validity of the proposed algorithm, the Electro-Magnetic Transient Program(EMTP/ATP) and MATLAB is used.
