Adaptive recommendation systems have been developed with big data processing as a system that provides services tailored to users based on user information and usage patterns. Deep learning can be used in these adaptive recommendation systems to handle big data, providing more efficient user-friendly recommendation services. In this paper, we propose a system that uses deep learning to categorize and recommend tourism types to suit the user's personality. The system was divided into three layers according to its core role to increase efficiency and facilitate maintenance. Each layer consists of the Service Provisioning Layer that real users encounter, the Recommendation Service Layer, which provides recommended services based on user information entered, and the Adaptive Definition Layer, which learns the types of tourism suitable for personality types. The proposed system is highly scalable because it provides services using deep learning, and the adaptive recommendation system connects the user's personality type and tourism type to deliver the data to the user in a flexible manner.
This study analyzed whether satisfaction to healthcare service quality that patients experienced in a general hospital affects recommendation on that hospital. As a result of the analysis, healthcare service quality partially affected patients' satisfaction. In addition, the satisfaction was partially positively correlated with the recommendation intention. This study has implications in that it revealed that satisfaction perceived by patients leads to recommendation intention and it suggested marketing plans necessary for hospital management performance.
In the IT convergence environment changed with not only the quality but also the material abundance, it is the most crucial factor for the strategy of personalized recommendation services to investigate the context information. In this paper, we proposed the recommendation using the service ontology based context awareness modeling. The proposed method establishes a data acquisition model based on the OSGi framework and develops a context information model based on ontology in order to perform the device environment between different kinds of systems. In addition, the context information will be extracted and classified for implementing the recommendation system used for the context information model. This study develops the ontology based context awareness model using the context information and applies it to the recommendation of the collaborative filtering. The context awareness model reflects the information that selects services according to the context using the Naive Bayes classifier and provides it to users. To evaluate the performance of the proposed method, we conducted sample T-tests so as to verify usefulness. This evaluation found that the difference of satisfaction by service was statistically meaningful, and showed high satisfaction.

As the influence of social networking services across the societies becomes greatly higher, many of the domestic agencies are trying to communicate with users through the introduction of social networking services. In this paper, we present a reliable exhibition-related contents recommendation service to combine social networking service concept with the customized contents recommendation method we previously proposed. The proposed service may effectively and reliably recommend its users exhibition-related contents by exploiting their relationships in the social networks compared with the existing ones.
In these days, recommendation service in mobile environments is in the limelight due to the spread of mobile devices and an increase of information owing to advancement of computer network. The restaurant recommendation system reflecting user preference was proposed. This system uses Bayesian network to model user preference and analytical hierarchical process to recommend restaurants, but static inference model for user preference used in the system has some limitations that cannot manage changing user preference and enormous user survey must be preceded. This paper proposes a learning method for Bayesian network based on user requests. The proposed method is implemented on mobile devices and desktop, and we show the possibility of the proposed method through experiments.
This paper presents an image description and matching scheme using synthetic features for a recommendation service. The recommendation service is an example of smart search because it offers something before a user's request. In the proposed extraction scheme, an image is described by synthesized spatial and statistical features. The spatial feature is designed to increase the discriminability by reflecting delicate variations. The statistical feature is designed to increase the robustness by absorbing small variations. For extracting spatial features, we partition the image into concentric circles and extract four characteristics using a spatial relation. To extract statistical features, we adapt three transforms into the image and compose a 3D histogram as the final statistical feature. The matching schemes are designed hierarchically using the proposed spatial and statistical features. The result shows that each feature is better than the compared algorithms that use spatial or statistical features. Additionally, if we adapt the proposed whole extraction and matching scheme, the overall performance will become 98.44% in terms of the correct search ratio.
The dissemination of smartphones is being spread and supplementary services using smartphones are increasing and various as the Mobile network and device are developing rapidly, so smartphones that enables to provide a wide range of services is expected to receive the most attention. It makes users listen to music anytime, anywhere in real-time, use useful applications, and access to Internet to search for information. The service environment is changing on PC into Mobile due to the change of the circumstance mentioned above. these services are done by using just location information rather than other context, and users have to search services and use them. It is essential to have Context-aware technology for personalization recommendation services and the appropriate representation and definition of Context information for context-aware. Ontology is possible to represent knowledge freely and knowledge can be extended by inferring. In addition, design of the ontology model is needed according to the purposes of utilization. This paper used context-aware technologies to implement a user personalization recommendation service. It also defined the context through OWL modeling for user personalization recommendation service and used inference rules and inference engine for context reasoning.
The purpose of this study is to improve the operation of shopping mall by examining the effect of service characteristics of Greenanum on customer satisfaction, repurchase and recommendation intention. The hypothesis was verified with SPSS22.0 and PROCESS macro 3.5. As a result, some hypotheses were supported between satisfaction, repurchase, and recommendation for service characteristics. Second, positive effects were found between satisfaction and repurchase, and recommendation intention. Third, a mediating effect appeared. Implications include improvement of low site awareness, benchmarking, and product quality improvement. In the future, it will be necessary to study the differences in the various characteristics of the products sold rather than the differentiation of the shopping mall itself.
Although various recommendation techniques have been applied to the e-commerce market, few studies compare the intent to use these techniques from the customer's perspective. In this paper, we conduct a comparative analysis of customers' intention to use five recommendation techniques widely adapted by online shopping malls and focus on the differences in purchasing electronic goods and apparel products. The recommendation techniques are as follows: best-seller recommendation, merchandiser recommendation, content-based recommendation, collaborative filtering recommendation, and social recommendation. Additionally, we examine which factors influence customer intent to use the recommendation services. Data were collected through a survey administered to 220 e-commerce users with prior experience with recommendation services. Collected data were examined using analysis of variance and regression analysis. Results indicate statistically significant differences in customers' intention to use recommendation services according to the recommendation technique. In particular, the best-seller recommendation technique is preferred when purchasing electronic goods, whereas the content-based recommendation technique is preferred for apparel purchases. Factors such as personal characteristics and personality, purchasing tendency, as well as perception of the product or recommendation service affect a customer's intention to use a recommendation service. However, the influence of these factors varies depending on the recommendation technique. This study provides guidelines for companies to adopt appropriate recommendation techniques according to product categories and personal characteristics of customers.

As big data technologies have been developed and massive data have exploded from users through various channels, CEO of global IT enterprise mentioned core importance of data in next generation business. Therefore various machine learning technologies have been necessary to apply data driven services but especially recommendation has been core technique in viewpoint of directly providing summarized information or exact choice of items to users in information flooding environment. Recently evolved recommendation techniques have been proposed by many researchers and most of service companies with big data tried to apply refined recommendation method on their online business. For example, Amazon used item to item collaborative filtering method on its sales distribution platform. In this paper, we develop a commercial web service for suggesting music contents and implement three representative collaborative filtering methods on the service. We also produce recommendation lists with three methods based on real world sample data and evaluate the usefulness of them by comparison among the produced result. This study is meaningful in terms of suggesting the right direction and practicality when companies and developers want to develop web services by applying big data based recommendation techniques in practical environment.
