Over the past few years, companies have started moving into specific niches in plus-size fashion. The purpose of this study was to verify the marketability of young plus-size clothes in the USA. Data were collected from female consumers aged from 20 to 39 who have experience of purchasing plus-size items. A total of 282 responses were used for statistical analysis. The research result is as follows. First, the obesity stress is affected more by the subjective obesity level than by the objective obesity level and by how people recognize their body types. Second, from an analysis of the factors affecting the shopping orientation of plus-size consumers, style consciousness, pursuing reasonable, emphasizing comfort, and body consciousness are found to be important factors. Third, even if responders are aware of their exact body size, they actively look for the correct size. Fourth, fit evaluation of plus-size products is based on the factors of size fit and movement fit. The respondents were unsatisfied with chest and arm measurements, which deviate widely by body type for tops. Fifth, the overall dissatisfaction with the plus-size market is attributed to the fact that the product assortment range from which to select styles is narrow, and trend reflection is low. Sixth, the respondents tended to avoid fabrics that make their body type more obvious, textures that give the impression of a larger body size, or stiff textures. These results show that the psychological and physical characteristics of obese consumers should be considered to develop products for the young plus-size market.

Smartphone used to be an it item for only business people and early adaptors. However, the public interest towards Smartphone has been rapidly increased and now is spreading to the everyday life in general people. Variety of applications are introduced and registered in a day, but there are not enough apps with simple and useable interface. This is because that the applications are developed only in a view from developer and designer to match the splendor design and technical skills of apps not concerning the users. Therefore this study will analyze the value in use and design trend of registered apps in apps store to recognize the importance in use and also to discuss about a plan to apply this into the apps more effectively. In order to improve the mobile app usability, this study suggest that using intuitional icon, designing easy to use app navigation. This will lead to produce clear instruction for app developers and designers with more reliable effects in the future of Smartphone world.

UCP 600 approved at the Banking Commission Meeting of ICC at the end of October, 2006 comes into effect from July 1, 2007. The main revision of the UCP 600 concerning the sea transport document are as follows. First, if the bill of lading contains an on-board-notation, with the date of shipment, the date stated in the on-board-notation will be deemed the date of shipment. Secondly, phrases "on its face" and "otherwise authenticated" should be eliminated. Thirdly, when an agent signs for or signs on behalf of the master, there is no longer a need for the name of master to be quoted. Fourthly, the terminology "loading on-board or shipped on a named vessel" is changed to "shipped on-board a named vessel." Fifthly, phrases "the rejection of the documents transported only by sail" is removed. Finally, new rule in UCP is the signing of a charter party bill of lading by the charterer or a named agent on behalf of the charterer. My assessment of the revision in UCP 600 is as follows: Because a freight forwarder transport document is a weaker form than a liner bill of lading as collateral, banks may need a secure measure as to protect themselves from such a weak collateral effect. we recognize that Such a weak collateral effect stemmed from the elimination of rules in UCP 500 article 30, and the admission of transport documents issued by the freight forwarder as long as any one besides carrier, shipper, and charterer satisfies the requirements of transport document clauses in UCP 600. Finally, I hope the Commentary on UCP 600 will serve to explain the ambiguities remaining in the new rules.

This study discusses spatial distribution of the silver towns in the Seoul metropolitan area and investigates how the residents recognize their silver towns through in-depth interviews. Nowadays there are many elders who prefer to live in urban downtown or suburb areas which can be connected with the places of their pre-retirement lives. Therefore, the silver towns in the Seoul metropolitan area have been increasing. The facilities are mainly located in northern part of Seoul and southern part of Gyeonggi province near the network of major express roads. Location and accessibility are more important than any other factors when the elderly contemplate moving into silver town. Silver town residents are likely to have meaningful times and positive identities by communicating with friends there. The elders aged 80 years or older living in silver towns think the silver towns as their home while 'young old' people complain their limited rights of decision making and they consider additional move.

With the advent of the global era in earnest, and with the transnational migration and exchanges of capital, goods and cultures being actively progressed at regional level, the importance of a region as the immediate stage for such migration and exchanges is brought into relief. This study aimed to analyze the multicultural policies being implemented by Goryeong gun county and draw out points and problems by focusing on immigrant women on marriage who are the main subjects of the discourse on multiculturalism in Korea. According to this research, the supports for the multicultural families in Goryeong-gun were provided mainly by Goryeong-gun Office and Goryeong Office of Education and many similar contents in supporting activities overlapped. However, the related agencies were not linked sufficiently, and there were little efforts made to improve the contents of the supporting activities. In order to recognize accurately the multicultural phenomena in a region and make appropriate response and support for them, the regional government wi]] have to become the center for the support of multiculturalism and implement an integration policy so that the resources and people within the region can be used in the right place.

This paper proposes a method of the car license plate recognition from digital camera image. Lots of technology advancement has been accomplished for the least several years. The key issue for recognition rate improvement has been the extraction of correct area on the plate. In the previous studies, the information from an edge or an color on a plate hasn't been used but some declination also taken into account in most cases due to the difficulty of area extraction on a tilted plate The proposed method focuses on transforming a slant plate image to the normalized form to be recognized. It shows good robustness on situations defined by a variety of locations, slants and heights of the license plate, because it detects the edge of license plate by using both the color information and linear regression method. The computer simulation shows that the proposed method records 92％ detection rates of license plate and can recognize characters of slant plate with about 50 degrees.

This paper describes the medical and IT convergence system using a smart phone and a heuristic method for the measurement of the dripping speed of the liquid in a drip chamber, which can estimate the remaining time using pattern recognition and difference image from video frame information based on Android technology. The video frames were first made using a smartphone camera and we calculated the difference image between the n image and the (n-1) image and then changed into binary images using the threshold value. At this point, it is very important to find an optimal threshold value using heuristic method to recognize the dripping of the liquids. In addition, the user can adjust the dripping speed according to the doctor's prescription, exactly like watching the progress bar of a mobile application. The experiment results show that our method using video processing technique accurately measures the dripping speed for a wide range of speeds that are sufficient for ordinary practice.

There is a increasingly growing emphasis on health promotion, disease prevention and optimum functioning for peaple including the chronically ill and disabled. According as the purpose of the nursing is the promotion of health, the value and belief of heal th within the nursing paradigm need to be defined in every culture. The paradigm components must be explored for meaning given by the aged in their traditional thought and philosophy, The problem addressed by this qualitative study was how the aged recognize value and belief of health, which contribute to the development of Korean nursing theory. Theoretical support for the study was from Leininger's cultural care theory and Korean philosophy and traditional oriented thought. Literature review refers to literature on the aged, health of the aged, and definition and meaning of general health concept. Grounded theory methodology guied the research methodology and analysis to build a substantive theory. The informants were 119 from a variety of social levels and family patterns; traditionally the aged are responsible for the health. The concentrated interviewing period was from may to june, 1995 ; the interviews were done by the researcher with two supporter and most were recorded on audio tape. Result from analysis of base datas follows; The value and belief of health that emerged from the categories and properties were the physical stability, the stability of mind, the stability of mind and body, the smoothness (harmony) of body function, the family concord, and the perfection of self. These values and beliefs of health are affected by the cosmic dual forces thought is based on the Great Absolute, family principle of confucian scholar, and Buddism. Among the values and beliefs of health, family concord is found out Korean culture peculiarities. These values and beliefs are all integrated into the idea of health. The study provided implications for nursing theory research, education, and practice change and development.

The purpose of this study was to understand characteristics of eighth graders' conclusions presented in their self-directed scientific inquiry reports. We developed a framework, Analysis of Conclusions of Self-Directed Scientific Inquiry, to analyze students' conclusions. We then compared the conclusions with the inquiry questions students generated to find out whether the questions affected students' conclusions. In addition, we analyzed students' responses from the survey about their perceptions of drawing conclusions. According to the results, the conclusions were characterized into two categories, i.e., scientific basic assumption and scientific explanation. Almost half of the students' conclusions fall under the scientific basic assumptions. Most of the scientific explanations were deductive explanations and inductive explanations. Then, the kinds of conclusions were affected by the inquiry questions because the scientific explanations were made more than the scientific basic assumptions in answering the inquiry questions. Some students couldn't recognize differences between conclusions and experiment results.

In modern society, the succession and development of tradition can be an enabler of the state in the flow of culture, and the process of modernizing traditional costumes is meaningful work. Neckties are essential in modern Korean men's wear, and they are an important part of men's ornamentation. Accordingly, this study aims to present a necktie design that applies the traditional men's ornaments such as the Ip, Ipyoung and Manggeonsik. The research method is based on a literature review and presents four Korean necktie designs via Adobe Illustrations. As a result of analyzing the beauty of the traditional Korean men's ornamentation, it was categorized into rhythmical beauty, emphasis beauty, and natural beauty. Applying this to necktie design, Design 1 imagined the silhouette of a man wearing a Got and Durumagi. This applied emphasis beauty. Design 2 applied the shaking images of Got and Got-kkeun to apply rhythmical and emphasis beauty. Design 3 applied a man's upper body silhouette and the shape of wearing a Got. This was to apply natural beauty and emphasis beauty. Design 4 applied the shape of Got-kkeun and Gwanja to rhythmical beauty and natural beauty. The significance of this study is that the development of necktie designs using formative Korean elements can be a part of efforts to recognize the possibility of traditional Korean culture and to explore developmental directions under the current situation in which Western clothing is accepted without thought. It is a good idea to suggest the possibility of the modern use of Korean men's ornaments.
