  • The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics and differences in the perception of professionalism of workers in public and private social welfare institutions, and to understand the effect of professionalism perception on job commitment and performance. The main results and implications are as follows. First, there was a statistically significant difference in the perception of professionalism of public and private social workers. Specifically, private 3.26 and public 3.15 were higher in the recognition of professionalism of social workers working in the private sector than in the public sector. Second, both public and private social workers' perception of professionalism had an effect on job commitment and job performance. In other words, the higher the recognition of professionalism, the higher the job commitment and performance of both private and public sector workers. Third, workers in the private sector were higher in both job commitment and job performance than those in public institutions. In short, although professionalism perception affects the job commitment and performance of private and public workers, the job commitment and performance of private social welfare organizations with high professionalism awareness is high.

  • This study was performed to find out how to improve the usefulness and effectiveness of the field practice program in Library and Information Science by diagnosing the practical instructor's perception of the overall field practice in the Library and Information Science. To achieve this goal, we conducted a research on the current situation and a measurement in perception of the field practice program through a survey of practical instructors at practical training institutions. We, then, analyzed the factors affecting the perception and examined the relationship between the effects. As a result of investigating the factors affecting the perception of field practice, 'operational accountability for the field practice program' was found to be a significant factor among other factors such as the general characteristics of the practical instructors, the characteristics of library related work and the field practice status of the practical training institutions. And factors of 'practice environment' and 'practice instruction method' have been identified to have a significant impact as a result of analyzing how the six factors constituting the perception of field practice effect on the overall perception of field practice of the practical instructors.

  • Various literatures related computing of information processing have been recently shown the researches inspired from the remarkably excellent human capabilities which recognize and categorize very complex visual patterns such as body motions and facial expressions. Applied from human's outstanding ability of perception, the classification function of visual sequences without context information is specially crucial task for computer vision to understand both the coding and the retrieval of spatio-temporal patterns. This paper presents a biological process based action recognition model of computer vision, which is inspired from visual information processing of human brain for action recognition of visual sequences. Proposed model employs the structure of neural fields of bio-inspired visual perception on detecting motion sequences and discriminating visual patterns in human brain. Experimental results show that proposed recognition model takes not only into account several biological properties of visual information processing, but also is tolerant of time-warping. Furthermore, the model allows robust temporal evolution of classification compared to researches of action recognition. Presented model contributes to implement bio-inspired visual processing system such as intelligent robot agent, etc.

  • The purpose of this study was 1) to investigate professional sports fans' perception of immigrants and changes of athletes' nationalities, and 2) to examine how the fans' perception affected the perception of changes of athletes' nationalities. Results indicated that first the fan showed a neutral attitude toward the immigrants. In the results of the regression analysis containing foreign athletes naturalized as Korean citizens as the dependent variable, independent variables (i.e., gender and acceptance) explained 39.1% and 38% of the dependent variable, respectively, within [naturalization positive]. Within [naturalization negative] female fan and exclusive perception of immigrants positively predicted the objection to changes of athletes' nationalities. Lastly, in the results of the regression analysis containing Korean athletes who naturalized as foreign citizens as the dependent variable, fans who were older and rated higher on exclusive perception of immigrants had more negative perception of the dependent variable. Female fans perceived changes of athletes nationalities as personal choice.

  • The aim of this paper was to analyze the lexical effects on spoken word recognition of Korean monosyllabic word. The lexical factors chosen in this paper was frequency, density and lexical familiarity of words. Result of the analysis was as follows; frequency was the significant factor to predict spoken word recognition score of monosyllabic word. The other factors were not significant. This result suggest that word frequency should be considered in speech perception test.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of attribute agenda-setting and priming through content analysis and a survey about Particulate Matter($PM_{10}$ & $PM_{2.5}$) using both promotional news and general news. The study results were as follows. First, promotional news and general news were found to showcase similar cognitive attributes. Second, the results did not show a significant relationship between highlighted attributes in media coverage and the public's salient attributes, but media attributes had been generally reflected in the public's perception because the public was highly aware of the importance of all media attributes. Third, the recognition of the public's attribute importance affected the direction of public opinion, which resulted in the acceptance of priming effects. Meanwhile, the recognition of the public's attribute importance towards economic damage, international cooperation, individual response, and the recognition of promotional news had affected risk perception. Furthermore, the recognition of promotional news and involvement appeared to have an interaction effect on risk perception.

  • Objectives : The study was to examine satisfaction with their major study influences their perception of occupational consciousness among dental hygiene freshmen. Methods : The total of dental hygiene freshmen were conveniently recruited from four schools located in Gyeongsangnam-do, Ulsan and Busan city. A questionnaire was used to collect information about general characteristics and the perception of occupational consciousness and major study satisfaction. The statistical analysis was done by using the SPSS 18.0 program. Results : Dental hygiene freshmen who showed a positive their major satisfactory showed higher perception of occupational. The social recognition and position of job-consciousness was lowest at the score 2.55, harmony with a colleague is close to efficiency in duty of job-consciousness was highest at the score 3.54. Conclusions : We need a modifying and complement of the career guidance programs for dental hygiene freshmen.

  • The eyes are the first sensory organs to perceive the environment. We become accustomed to the environment with our eyes. When we contact the environment, we perceive the appearance of an object with our eyes. Then we recognize our position, and perceive the shape surrounding the object interacting with space. The perception of seeing constructs experiences which control most of our recognition, and the experiences are images of the environment surrounding it. So they are significantly expressed into sensitive and mental elements of material and non-material world. Gibson's ecological perception theory analyzes and information system, which helps man to move effectively, and its component stimulus'. The important thing is that we should understand the combination of systems gathering stimulus not as an individual system but as one whole system.

  • This paper investigated the effects of frequency band limitation on perceptual characteristics of Korean vowels. Monosyllabic speech (144 syllables of CV type, 56 syllables of VC type, 8 syllables of V type) produced by two announcers were low- and high-pass filtered with cutoff frequencies ranging from 300 to 5000 Hz. Six listeners with normal hearing performed perception tests by types of filter and cutoff frequencies. We reported phoneme recognition rates and types of perception error of band-limited Korean vowels to examine how frequency distortion in the process of speech transmission affect listener's perception.

  • Recent years with the development of artificial intelligence and the success of the deep model, they have been deployed in all fields of computer vision. Action recognition, as an important branch of human perception and computer vision system research, has attracted more and more attention. Action recognition is a challenging task due to the special complexity of human movement, the same movement may exist between multiple individuals. The human action exists as a continuous image frame in the video, so action recognition requires more computational power than processing static images. And the simple use of the CNN network cannot achieve the desired results. Recently, the attention model has achieved good results in computer vision and natural language processing. In particular, for video action classification, after adding the attention model, it is more effective to focus on motion features and improve performance. It intuitively explains which part the model attends to when making a particular decision, which is very helpful in real applications. In this paper, we proposed a 3D dense convolutional network based on attention mechanism(ADD-Net), recognition of human motion behavior in the video.
