Up to the present, the evaluation measures in the production and inventory management have been studied under the pre-condition that the costs for major factors(e.g,. cost of carrying inventory, cost of demand shortage) are given easily, although in practice, it is difficult. The case in which multiple participants have a different viewpoints in production and inventory management has not been studied, in spite of its frequent occurrence. This study suggests a production and inventory model with multiple objectives corresponding to major factors and the related interactive algorithm based on the preference structures of participants. The problem can be solved through a weighting vector generated by an interaction with participants. The concept of equity is also used in order to guarantee the reasonable distribution of group utility in determining the individual relative weights of participants. This study includes the reality of the model and the decision process in the production and inventory management.

This paper is a study on a model of economic value of transmission speed of Internet Commerce. For this research, this paper searches the factors that influence the transmission speed of Internet and suggests the model for measurement of economic value. The model adopted in this research is CVM(contingent valuation method) using in environment economics and the research area in this paper is concentrated on Internet-based Electronic Commerce. For this purpose, this paper suggests econometrics model that measures customer's payment intention for transmission speed of Internet. This model can be used as the basic tool of feasibility of investment analysis and reasonable pricing on Internet service. For the more, it will be followed empirical study and more careful comprehension for objective validity of this study.

The research on set menus served at Japanese restaurants at special-rate hotels around Gwangju and Jeonla Province suggests problems and rooms for improvement through examination of the current status of set menus at Japanese Restaurant in hotels of Gwangju and southern Jeonla province, prime cost, and sales volume. Advantageous points of course menus served at Japanese restaurants at hotels are as followings: a variety of courses are available; ingredients can reflect seasonal change; clients are satisfied with food at reasonable cost; and it results in sales increase. Based on such measures, more efforts should be made in order to advance preference and satisfaction with menus, cut back on prime cost, and maximize sales volume.

The objective of this research is to ensure that the ports and waterways management system can establish and maintain a reasonable level of safety level during high density passenger operations. The research model was developed included computer based model that could be used that can be used to measure and monitor risk and evolved overtime. The research methodology provides model for assessing relative risk and evaluating risk reduction measures. The risk analysis based on expert judgement was refined overtime. They provide a basis for risk reduction and risk management policies and strategies. The evaluation and validation of risk model and development of data, methods, tools required to measure, monitor and evaluate ports and waterway risk was implemented.

Railway systems are one of the best mass transit systems and many people have prevented incidents/accidents and reduced fatalities remarkably. Especially we have tried analyzing and finding the measures to prevent catastrophic accidents like train collision, derailment and fire because of their severities. It is important to assess the safety performances of railway systems like crash-worthiness analysis, body, derailment affecting factor analysis and so on for reducing and finding out the reasonable causes of disastrous accidents. In this paper the refined top-level system requirements to build-up national infra for assessing railway safety performance and the procedures and methodology for reviewing, verifying and validating infra requirements are explained. Basically the authors have used system engineering processes to analyze and verify the requirements and installation procedures and have tried maximizing the practicality of the various safety assessment systems.

This paper analyses the results of a survey questionnaire which is made for logistics service providers in Shanghai, China. Based on 177 valid providers' responses, the study results show that the logistics industry of China consists mainly of small and medium-sized companies. Furthermore, most of the logistics companies are highly capable of providing traditional logistics services and lack of the capability to provide other value-added logistics services. Their self-assessments indicate that they generally perform well in different types of performance measures. This study indicates that the market for 3PL services in China has a reasonable potential for further development, though 3PL practices are still at a nascent stage in China. This paper presents full details and implications of the results of the survey and then tries to provide some helpful suggestion for the development of Chinese logistics companies.

Dietary life of Korean population was greatly improved by the increased food production, enlarged food processing and betterment of food distribution system during the last three decades. On the other hand, food pollution issues have arisen from the increased use of chemicals and advancements in analytical techniques and toxicological information. The health risk of hazardous substances in Korean diet was estimated to be in the decreasing order of heavy metals>pesticide residues>food additives>mycotoxins>radionuclides>PCBs whereas consumers do not recognize it in the same order. It is needed to evaluate the food safety more accurately based on scientific evidences and to adopt reasonable regulatory measures in Korea for the benefits of people's health and national interest.

Since 1984, block-type reinforced earth wall with geogrid reinforcement has been widely used for retaining wall applications till now in Korea. The use of geogrid as a reinforcement in the reinforced earth wall is steadily increased in an amount over 1,500,000㎡ in a year However, still need exists that some problems in design and construction practices should be made to review, Therefore, this paper reviewed reasonable criteria for selection of backfills, design details considering the effect of the upper soil slope on reinforced earth wall, horizontal displacement of facing block during compaction, and the damage of geogrid reinforcements on the edge part of facing block. Finally, alternative methods of measures on those problems are proposed.

set of building has to be amended by applying the provisions for matters relating to collateral responsibility to protect actively the owner of the induction of sets that were built to builder to rights and convenient improvement of set building, other laws are the same is applied to a set of building, for work of confusion is expected, in the present study, to understand the defect liability of recently revised set building method, and reasonable set of buildings through a comparative analysis of related laws by presenting the direction of defect liability is to be considered a countermeasure after presenting the effect of laws through survey.

In construction work, safety accidents often occur in combination with unstable physical and human conditions during preparation and execution of work. In Korea, the accident rate is higher to that of any country in the world. Therefore, it is necessary to take measures by fundamental prescription. In this paper, in the case of construction safety management, we tried to find a reasonable alternative through a questionnaire survey to apply to subcontracting and small-scale construction. In conclusion, workers who are well aware of the task could be able to reduce the accident rate by deploying them as safety management officers after receiving the training.
