Research of real-time image which is responding to the strings sound in art performance (무대 공연에서 현악기 소리에 반응하는 실시간 영상에 관한 연구)

  • Recent performing-art has a trend to be new cultural contents style which mixes various genre not just traditional way. Especially in stage performance, unique performance is playing using high technology and image. In sound performance, one of technology, a new experiment is trying which re-analyze the sound and mixes the result with image. But in public performance we have a technical difficulty with making visualization regarding the sound in realtime. Because we can not make visualization with instant sound from performers and audience it is difficult to interact smoothly between performer and audience. To resolve this kind of restriction, this paper suggests Real-time sound visualization. And we use string music instrument for sound source. Using the MaxMSP/Jitter based the Midi, we build image control system then we test and control the image with Korg Nano Kontrol. With above experiment we can verify verious emotion, feeling and rhythm of performer according to performance environment and also we can verify the real time interactive image which can be changed momently by performer's action.

  • 3D GIS(Geographic Information System) processes, analyzes and presents various real-world 3D phenomena by building 3D spatial information of real-world terrain, facilities, etc., and working with visualization technique such as VR(Virtual Reality). It can be applied to such areas as urban management system, traffic information system, environment management system, disaster management system, ocean management system, etc,. In this paper, we propose video visualization technology based on 3D geographic information to provide effectively real-time information in 3D geographic information system and also present methods for establishing 3D building information data. The proposed video visualization system can provide real-time video information based on 3D geographic information by projecting real-time video stream from network video camera onto 3D geographic objects and applying texture-mapping of video frames onto terrain, facilities, etc.. In this paper, we developed sem i-automatic DBM(Digital Building Model) building technique using both aerial im age and LiDAR data for 3D Projective Texture Mapping. 3D geographic information system currently provide static visualization information and the proposed method can replace previous static visualization information with real video information. The proposed method can be used in location-based decision-making system by providing real-time visualization information, and moreover, it can be used to provide intelligent context-aware service based on geographic information.

A Terrain Rendering Method using Roughness Map and Bias Map (거칠기맵과 편향맵을 이용한 지형 렌더링 가법)

  • In recent researches, several LOD techniques are used for real-time visualization of large sized terrain data. However, during mesh simplification, geometry popping may occur in consecutive frames, because of the geometric error. We propose an efficient method for reducing the geometry popping using roughness map and bias map. A roughness map and a bias map are used to move vertices of the terrain mesh to appropriate position where they minimize the geometry errors. A roughness map and a bias map are represented as a texture suitable for GPU processing. Moving vertices using bias map is processed on the GPU, so the high-speed visualization can be possible.

3D Visualization System for Realtime Environmental Data (실시간 환경데이터를 이용한 3차원 시각화 시스템)

  • The ocean ecosystem and the marine farms were damaged after latest oil spill in Taean. They suffered heavily due to the expansion of the red tide on the coast and the sudden changes in water temperature. We should develop the way to deal with various factors to reduce the damage. In this paper, real time data with which are supplied us through many kinds of sensors on measure equipments will be processed to the visualized shape. Simple numeric data and 2D graph will be changed 2D or 3D graphic objects and animations using WPF, a new effect method in user interface area. This visualization system for environmental data shows us various pictures and offers multimedia data communication.

  • This paper introduces the surface detailed painterly rendering using heightfield map. To do this, we implement painterly rendering using normal mapping and displacement mapping method by heightfield map. The suggested method can apply to the 3D visualization program and game engine for representing the surface detailed realtime rendering using GPU Programming.

  • In this paper, we propose techniques for hazard analysis of curved road based on USN. The techniques consist of models and algorithms. Models of curved road, road direction, sensor, vehicle and hazard are proposed. To analyze hazard in curved road and give warning to corresponding vehicle in realtime multi-level algorithms are proposed. An application program implements the models and algorithms to simulate proposed techniques with real-time visualization.

  • 인터넷-웹 환경에서 객체관계형 데이터베이스를 위한 시각적 질의어(graphical query language)를 설계할 때 복잡한 질의 조건을 간단하고도 직관적으로 표현할 수 있도록 지원하는 것이 중요한 연구과제가 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 객체관계형 데이터베이스의 경로식 표현을 인터넷/웹 기반으로 설계, 구현하였다. 시각적 표현 기밥을 사용하여 객체관계형 데이터베이스의 스키마(schema)와 질의어를 하나의 통일된 시각적 표시법으로 표현하며, 객체관계형 질의어인 경로식 표현에도 간단한 시각적 표시법을 이용하여 표현한다. 이 그래픽 질의어의 가장 큰 특징은 기존의 텍스트 기반 질의어들에 비하여 간단하고 직관적인 구문을 가지며, 사용자에게 편리한 인터넷/웹 기반의 데이터베이스 인터페이스를 제공한다.

  • 과거의 전통적인 상거래 방식에서 벗어나 온라인을 이용한 전자상거래 분야의 발전이 급속도로 이루어지고 있다. 전자상거래의 한 분야인 온라인 경매시장에 대한 관심과 기술적 발전으로 인하여 온라인 경매가 성황리에 진행중이다. 본 논문에서는 온라인 경매에 대한 전반적인 이론, 유형, 기술, 경매 시스템들에 대해 살펴간 후, 시스템의 분석된 내용을 바탕으로 하여 간단한 경매사이트를 구축하였다. 경매사이트에 등록 후 진행중인 입찰상황을 실시간으로 모니터링 해오는 기법을 구현하였다. 실시간 시스템에 관한 모델을 제안하고 경매상황을 시각적으로 구현하는 모델을 제안하였다. 향후 연구과제는 상용으로 진행중인 여러 경매사이트 접근에 대한 한계성을 극복할 수 있는 방법을 제시하고 온라인 경매분야의 활성화에 기여하고자 한다.

  • 전통적인 상거래 방식에서 인터넷을 이용한 전자상거래 분야로 다양한 발전이 이루어지고 있다. 전자거래의 한 분야인 경매시장에 대한 관심과 기술적 발전으로 인하여 인터넷 경매가 성황리에 진행중이다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷 경매에 대한 전반적인 이론, 유형, 기숙, 경매시스템들에 대해 살펴본 후, 시스템의 분석된 내용을 바탕으로 하여 골라 경매사이트를 구축하였다. 경매사이트에 등륵 후 진행중인 입찰상황을 실시간으로 모니터링 하여 진행중인 경매상황을 시각적으로 구현하는 모델 개발에 중점을 두었다. 향후 연극과제는 상용으로 진행중인 여러 경매사이트 접근에 대한 한계성을 극복할 수 있는 방법을 제시하고 실시간 시각화 시스템 구현을 통한 경매분야의 활성화에 기여하고자 한다.

A 3D Terrain Reconstruction System using Navigation Information and Realtime-Updated Terrain Data (항법정보와 실시간 업데이트 지형 데이터를 사용한 3D 지형 재구축 시스템)

  • A terrain is an essential element for constructing a virtual world in which game characters and objects make various interactions with one another. Creating a terrain requires a great deal of time and repetitive editing processes. This paper presents a 3D terrain reconstruction system to create 3D terrain in virtual space based on real terrain data. In this system, it converts the coordinate system of the height maps which are generated from a stereo camera and a laser scanner from global GPS into 3D world using the x and z axis vectors of the global GPS coordinate system. It calculates the movement vectors and the rotation matrices frame by frame. Terrain meshes are dynamically generated and rendered in the virtual areas which are represented in an undirected graph. The rendering meshes are exactly created and updated by correcting terrain data errors. In our experiments, the FPS of the system was regularly checked until the terrain was reconstructed by our system, and the visualization quality of the terrain was reviewed. As a result, our system shows that it has 3 times higher FPS than other terrain management systems with Quadtree for small area, improves 40% than others for large area. The visualization of terrain data maintains the same shape as the contour of real terrain. This system could be used for the terrain system of realtime 3D games to generate terrain on real time, and for the terrain design work of CG Movies.
