A Study on Performance Improvement in Cellular IP Using Combined Cache and Different Handoff (통합 캐시 및 차별화된 핸드오프를 이용한 셀룰러 IP의 성능개선에 관한 연구)

  • There are some problems with the methods of paging and routing cache(PRC) and quasi soft handoff that are proposed to improve the performance for the transmission of real time data. This paper proposed a reasonable solution of these problems by proposing a new method using a combined cache(CC) and applying a different handoff procedure according to each type of data. The combined cache dose not maintain the handoff state but the idlle/active state. The simulation results in a better performance than the above methods in terms of the control packet traffic load, initial recevied data packet traffic load and arrival tune of real time packet at the epoch of handoff.

Traffic Congestion Estimation by Adopting Recurrent Neural Network (순환인공신경망(RNN)을 이용한 대도시 도심부 교통혼잡 예측)

  • Traffic congestion cost is increasing annually. Specifically congestion caused by the CDB traffic contains more than a half of the total congestion cost. Recent advancement in the field of Big Data, AI paved the way to industry revolution 4.0. And, these new technologies creates tremendous changes in the traffic information dissemination. Eventually, accurate and timely traffic information will give a positive impact on decreasing traffic congestion cost. This study, therefore, focused on developing both recurrent and non-recurrent congestion prediction models on urban roads by adopting Recurrent Neural Network(RNN), a tribe in machine learning. Two hidden layers with scaled conjugate gradient backpropagation algorithm were selected, and tested. Result of the analysis driven the authors to 25 meaningful links out of 33 total links that have appropriate mean square errors. Authors concluded that RNN model is a feasible model to predict congestion.

  • In this paper, a centralized protocol model for videoconference service over a wide-area-network is presented. the model is comprised of three distinct components : clients, server and mixer. The server handles all can management functions, and the mixer performs realtime traffic mixing. The control and data are separated, flowing over separated connections in the model. A set of new protocols are defined : call management protocol, media transport protocol, and multimedia synchronization protocol. This paper also presents the functional design of the mixer.

  • 정체(congestion)가 발생한 네트워크에서 자원관리 시스템은 정체를 제어하고 프레임 상실(loss)을 최소화함으로써 리얼타임 트래픽에 대한 요구를 충족시키기 위해 절대적으로 요구된다. 그에 따라 본 논문에서는 외부출력 인터페이스(Outgoing Interface)를 통과한 각종 멀티미디어 프레임들의 정체나 상실을 최소화하는 것을 기본 목적으로 하여 임계작업(mission critical)의 애플리케이션이 요청한 트래픽이 삽입되는 큐에 프레임이 존재하는 한, 부 스케줄러(Child Scheduler)를 생성하여 연속적으로 처리를 해주는 한편, 다른 트래픽들은 주 스케줄러(Parent Scheduler)가 할당된 대역폭만큼 Round-Robin 방식으로 계속 처리를 해주도록 하여 기아(starvation)가 일어나지 않도록 하는 CQ(Custom Queuing) 기반의 대역폭 공유 큐잉 알고리즘을 설계하였다.

  • 본 연구에 구축한 실시간 광역 교통 정보시스템은 도심지내의 간선도로 및 교차로에대한CCTV 교통감시 카메라를 이용하여 교통관제센타에서 동영상에의한 교통감시와 실시간 교통정보를 수집하는 시스템으로서 도로현장의 CCTV 감시카메라와 광통신장비, 센타의 영상검지기 및 VDS Sever컴퓨터 시스템과 동영상표시 Color Monitor로 구성 되어 있는 IP Surveillance 시스템 체계를 제시하고자 한다.

  • Recently, the importance of smart gateways that link these with the big data and the development of the Internet of things is getting bigger. The smart gateway includes a network function such as a router and a router, and a sensor network function that links various objects such as a sensor. As the internet market has expanded, network stability and security problems have arisen and VPN technology has been proposed as one of the ways to solve these security problems. Efficient design is needed to implement VPN in low-end smart gateway and SOHO-level Internet environment with poor line quality. In this paper, we propose the concept and principle of VPN tunneling implementation and real - time traffic shaping method according to internet line condition in the Smart Gateway that supports IOT developed based on OpenWRT, the implementation and measured performance indicators are presented.

  • In order to build network infrastructure to implement the aforementioned advantages enabling smart device users to work anywhere, professional support and expensive VPN devices are required. This is a barrier to supplying VPN devices to small and medium-sized institutes. To address this issue, this study aims to implement OpenVPN, OpenSSH and iproute based on the OpenWRT platform which is an embedded OS for open networks in affordable open wired/wireless gateway H/W platforms to support the inter-network VPN. In addition, the network environment can be maintained optimal by applying a "multi-queuing real-time traffic shaping technology" to VPN tunnels, although channel quality changes.

  • Recently car navigation systems which are widely spreaded and provide routes exactly have been evolved. The systems use various information and techniques as follows. In order to provide shortest path with good flow, realtime traffic information provided by DMB is used. Augmented reality technique is also introduced to give the sense of real to driver by displaying real images captured by camera during driving. But these operate well when the GPS receives data normally. Exact information about the position of vehicles becomes a base that supports the above function with realities. This paper proposes a method for compensating a given path. It uses various information by integrated vehicle networks when the GPS does not operates normally.

  • Now, UTIS collects and provides traffic information by building RSE 1,150(unit) and OBE about 51,000(vehicle). it's inevitable to enlarge traffic information sources which use to improve quality of UTIS traffic information for Stabilizing UTIS's service. but there are missing data sections. And, In this study as a way to overcome these problems, based on BIS(Bus information system) installed and operating in the capital area to develop normal vehicle's link transit time estimation model which is used realtime collecting BMS data, we'll utilize the model to provide missing data section's information. For these problem, we selected partial section of suwon-city, anyang-city followed by drive only way or not and conducted model estimating and verification each of BMS data and UTIS traffic information. Consequently, Case2,4,6,8 presented highly credibility between UTIS communication data and estimated value but In the Case 3,5 we determined to replace communication data of UTIS' missing data section too hard for large error. So we need to apply high credibility model formula adjusting road managing condition and the situation of object section.

  • 네트워크에서 실시간으로 통신 트래픽의 변화량을 감시하고 시계열 분석을 이용해 변화량의 추이를 모형화한다. 트래픽의 변화량을 모형화하게 되면 트래픽에 대한 예측이 가능하게 되므로 트래픽 예측을 이용하여 성능관리를 수행할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 실시간 트래픽을 이용한 성능관리 시스템에 대해 다룬다. 기존의 성능관리 시스템은 SNMP를 이용한 MIB-II 정보를 바탕으로 하는 분석 방법으로 이는 누적 데이터를 기본으로 하는 관리 방법으로 이상 징후의 판단이 즉각적이지 않았고 또한 모니터링을 수행하기 위해서는 통신 트래픽의 증가를 가져왔다. 대부분의 성능관리 시스템은 단순히 망에서의 트래픽이나 에러율 등을 관리자에게 보고하는 데 그치고 있어 능동적인 성능관리가 이루어지지 않는다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 실시간 트래픽 감시를 위해 네트워크에 들어오거나 나가는 트래픽의 양을 측정하여 분석하고, 이 정보를 바탕으로 특정 시점 이후의 트래픽 추이를 모형화하여 미래의 트래픽 양을 예측하고, 예측된 정보를 바탕으로 하는 성능관리 시스템에 대해 연구한다. 예측 알고리즘으로는 시계열 분석을 통해 시계열 자료의 예측을 가능하게 하는 알고리즘으로 설계한다. 이 성능관리시스템을 바탕으로 망 관리자가 전체 통신 네트워크의 부하 상태를 예측하여 신속하게 대응을 할 수 있다.
