  • In this paper, we evaluate Boosted 3-D PCA as a Dataset and evaluate its performance. After that, we will analyze the network features and performance. In this paper, the learning was performed using the 300W-LP data set using the same learning method as Boosted 3-D PCA, and the evaluation was evaluated using the AFLW2000 data set. The results show that the performance is similar to that of the Boosted 3-D PCA paper. This performance result can be learned using the data set of face images freely than the existing Landmark-to-Pose method, so that the poses can be accurately predicted in real-world situations. Since the optimization of the set of key points is not independent, we confirmed the manual that can reduce the computation time. This analysis is expected to be a very important resource for improving the performance of network boosted 3-D PCA or applying it to various application domains.

  • Background: The development of a vaccine for Jembrana disease is needed to prevent losses in Indonesia's Bali cattle industry. A DNA vaccine model (pEGFP-C1-tat) that requires a functional delivery system will be developed. Polylactic-co-glycolic acid (PLGA) may have potential as a delivery system for the vaccine model. Objectives: This study aims to evaluate the in vitro potential of PLGA as a delivery system for pEGFP-C1-tat. Methods: Consensus and codon optimization for the tat gene was completed using a bioinformatic method, and the product was inserted into a pEGFP-C1 vector. Cloning of the pEGFP-C1-tat was successfully performed, and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and restriction analysis confirmed DNA isolation. PLGA-pEGFP-C1-tat solutions were prepared for encapsulated formulation testing, physicochemical characterization, stability testing with DNase I, and cytotoxicity testing. The PLGA-pEGFP-C1-tat solutions were transfected in HeLa cells, and gene expression was observed by fluorescent microscopy and real-time PCR. Results: The successful acquisition of transformant bacteria was confirmed by PCR. The PLGA:DNA:polyvinyl alcohol ratio formulation with optimal encapsulation was 4%:0.5%:2%, physicochemical characterization of PLGA revealed a polydispersity index value of 0.246, a particle size of 925 nm, and a zeta potential value of -2.31 mV. PLGA succeeded in protecting pEGFP-C1-tat from enzymatic degradation, and the percentage viability from the cytotoxicity test of PLGA-pEGFP-C1-tat was 98.03%. The PLGA-pEGFP-C1-tat demonstrated luminescence of the EGFP-tat fusion protein and mRNA transcription was detected. Conclusions: PLGA has good potential as a delivery system for pEGFP-C1-tat.

  • The stability guarantee of wireless network based control systems is still challenging due to the lossy links and node failures. This paper proposes a hierarchical cluster-based network protocol called robust wireless sensor and actuator network (R-WSAN) by combining time, channel, and space resource diversity. R-WSAN includes a scheduling algorithm to support the network resource allocation and a control task sharing scheme to maintain the control stability of multiple plants. R-WSAN was implemented on a real test-bed using Zolertia RE-Mote embedded hardware platform running the Contiki-NG operating system. Our experimental results demonstrate that R-WSAN provides highly reliable and robust performance against lossy links and node failures. Furthermore, the proposed scheduling algorithm and the task sharing scheme meet the stability requirement of control systems, even if the controller fails to support the control task.

  • In this study, in order to improve the disadvantages of the environmental error of the infusion set that performs infusion therapy in the existing clinical practice and to maximize the user's convenience by miniaturizing the existing infusion pump system, the structure of the muscle pump of the human vein was imitated. As a double check valve method, a method for preventing the backflow of fluid and discharging a constant fluid in one direction by external pressure was proposed. The proposed bio-mimic muscle pump uses a check valve that controls the flow of fluid in one direction and a silicone tube with elasticity, and a chamber is constructed. A peristaltic pump for applying intermittent pressure to the tube chamber was constructed using a multi-cam structure roller. In order to verify the performance of the proposed pump, optimization was performed while changing the number of multi-cam rollers and adjusting the speed of the roller driving motor, and the reproducibility of the instantaneous discharge amount and the continuous discharge amount of the pump was compared and tested. The performance of the muscle pump proposed in this study was verified through experiments that it can inject up to 1L of fluid within 12 hours, and that it is possible to inject the fluid with an accuracy of ±0.1ml. Real-time monitoring of the fluid injection volume through the bio-mimic muscle pump proposed in this study not only increases the convenience of the administrator, but also provides a precise fluid administration environment to more patients at a low cost, and additionally applies bubble detection and occlusion detection technology If so, it is believed that a safer medical environment can be provided to patients.

  • Globally researchers at medical institutions are actively sharing COHORT data of patients to develop vaccines and treatments to overcome the COVID-19 crisis. OMOP-CDM, a common data model that efficiently shares medical data research independently operated by individual medical institutions has patient personal information (e.g. PII, PHI). Although PII and PHI are managed and shared indistinguishably through de-identification or anonymization in medical institutions they could not be guaranteed at 100% by complete de-identification and anonymization. For this reason the security of the OMOP-CDM database is important but there is no detailed and specific OMOP-CDM security inspection tool so risk mitigation measures are being taken with a general security inspection tool. This study intends to study and present a model for implementing a tool to check the security vulnerability of OMOP-CDM by analyzing the security guidelines for the US database and security controls of the personal information protection of the NIST. Additionally it intends to verify the implementation feasibility by real field demonstration in an actual 3 hospitals environment. As a result of checking the security status of the test server and the CDM database of the three hospitals in operation, most of the database audit and encryption functions were found to be insufficient. Based on these inspection results it was applied to the optimization study of the complex and time-consuming CDM CSF developed in the "Development of Security Framework Required for CDM-based Distributed Research" task of the Korea Health Industry Promotion Agency. According to several recent newspaper articles, Ramsomware attacks on financially large hospitals are intensifying. Organizations that are currently operating or will operate CDM databases need to install database audits(proofing) and encryption (data protection) that are not provided by the OMOP-CDM database template to prevent attackers from compromising.

  • Electronic personal dosimeter (EPD) provide real time monitoring and a direct indication of the accumulated dose or dose rate in terms of personal dose. Most EPD do not perform well in low energy photon radiation fields present in medical radiation environments. It has poor responsibility and large error rate for low energy photon radiation of medical radiation environments. This study evaluated to optimal additional filtration for EPD using silicon PIN photodiode detector form 40 to 120 kVp range in medical radiation environments. From 40 to 80 kVp energy range, Al 0.2 mm and Sn 1.0 mm overlapped filtration showed good responsibility to dose rate and from 80 kVp to 120 kVp energy range, Al 0.2 mm and Sn 1.6 mm overlapped filtration showed good responsibility to dose rate.

  • Feeding is the most important behavior that represents the health and welfare of weanling pigs. The early detection of feed refusal is crucial for the control of disease in the initial stages and the detection of empty feeders for adding feed in a timely manner. This paper proposes a real-time technique for the detection and recognition of small pigs using a deep-leaning-based method. The proposed model focuses on detecting pigs on a feeder in a feeding position. Conventional methods detect pigs and then classify them into different behavior gestures. In contrast, in the proposed method, these two tasks are combined into a single process to detect only feeding behavior to increase the speed of detection. Considering the significant differences between pig behaviors at different sizes, adaptive adjustments are introduced into a you-only-look-once (YOLO) model, including an angle optimization strategy between the head and body for detecting a head in a feeder. According to experimental results, this method can detect the feeding behavior of pigs and screen non-feeding positions with 95.66%, 94.22%, and 96.56% average precision (AP) at an intersection over union (IoU) threshold of 0.5 for YOLOv3, YOLOv4, and an additional layer and with the proposed activation function, respectively. Drinking behavior was detected with 86.86%, 89.16%, and 86.41% AP at a 0.5 IoU threshold for YOLOv3, YOLOv4, and the proposed activation function, respectively. In terms of detection and classification, the results of our study demonstrate that the proposed method yields higher precision and recall compared to conventional methods.

  • White-box cryptography can respond to white-box attacks that can access and modify memory by safely hiding keys in the lookup table. However, because the size of lookup tables is large and the speed of encryption is slow, it is difficult to apply them to devices that require real-time while having limited resources, such as IoT(Internet of Things) devices. In this work, we propose a scheme for collecting short-length plaintexts and processing them at once, utilizing the characteristics that white-box ciphers process encryption on a lookup table size basis. As a result of comparing the proposed method, assuming that the table sizes of the Chow and XiaoLai schemes were 720KB(Kilobytes) and 18,000KB, respectively, memory usage reduced by about 29.9% and 1.24% on average in the Chow and XiaoLai schemes. The latency was decreased by about 3.36% and about 2.6% on average in the Chow and XiaoLai schemes, respectively, at a Traffic Load Rate of 15 Mbps(Mega bit per second) or higher.

  • Selective amino acid conjugation of bulky antibodies is a valuable asset for real-time diagnosis and therapy. However, selective conjugation incorporating a chelate-bearing radioactive atom into an antibody without affecting its immunoreactivity is a challenging task. A bifunctional chelator (BFC), a selective amino acid-targeting probe, and a linker have been developed to overcome this problem. Here, we report the synthesis of a novel propylene cross-bridged chelator (PCB)-1,8-N,N'-bis-(carboxymethyl)-1,4,8,11-tetraazacyclotetradecane (TE2A)-luminol BFC via a click reaction and radiolabel it with a 64Cu ion for tyrosine-selective conjugation of trastuzumab. In the initial optimization study, we tried different oxidative addition conditions such as electro-oxidation, hemin, horseradish peroxidase, iodogen tube, chloramine-T, and iodo beads. In this study, up to 82% of 64Cu-PCB-TE2A-luminol was conjugated with the antibody in an iodo bead-catalyzed oxidative addition reaction with an isolated yield of 24.4%.

  • In this study, we found out the relation between $FeCl_3$ recovering-concentration and stage number of extraction process for invar (Fe+Ni) etching process. In order to get the desired $FeCl_3$ recovering-concentration economically, we developed the simulation program for designing the optimal $FeCl_3$ extraction process. We got the key parameter for this simulation program through pilot scale experiments. The process simulation by the developed program could reduce the emission of waste etching solution as well as the treatment costs. In addition, the developed program could calculate the number of stage of the etchant recovering system and the process time to get the desired concentration of $FeCl_3$. This program was used to compute the optimal capacity of the etchant recovering system and applied to the optimization of the stage of the etchant recovering system in real IT industry.
