Diagnostic System of Modeling Errors Generated from IGES CAD Data Exchange (IGES CAD 데이터의 교환에서 오류 진단 시스템)

  • A diagnostic system has been developed which reports modeling errors generated when exchanging CAD data using IGES (Initial Graphics Exchange Specification) format. The system determines whether the CAD data contains errors. It also helps to define the criteria for determining the integrity and interoperability of CAD data with downstream applications of another CAD/CAM/CAE/PDM systems. The methodology of our algorithms is to analyze IGES model data by identifying errors and anomalies with respect to the diagnosis of geometry and topology. The GUI (Graphic User Interface) of the developed system helps users to input values and to visualize diagnostic results at real time.

  • In this paper, an interface unit is designed to efficiently monitor transmission data in Controller Area Network(CAN)-based control systems. The CAN uses a serial multi master communication protocol that efficiently supports distributed real-time control with a very high level of data integrity, and communication speeds of up to 1Mbps. The interface unit is composed of a DSP controller which collects data on the CAN bus and transfers data to a personal computer via serial communication to save and display of interesting signals. The experimental system consists of three DSP controllers which represent electronic control units of a vehicle, an interface unit for analysing the data on the bus, and a graphic monitoring program coded on the Windows platform. The validity and the effectiveness of the proposed simple type of CAN interface unit are shown through the experimental results.

  • The operation of robot manipulators has a restriction that the operator must reside at the factory, where the manipulator is used. To overcome this restriction, we propose a remote control system using the internet, the system which runs on the Window 95 environment is composed of the remote client which transfers commands to the server which control and manage the manipulator in the factory. In the control of Hong-ik Direct Drive Arm, it is necessary to consider the complex nonlinear parameters causing the mutual interaction between joints, so we use two TMS320C31 DSP chips in the controller for the real time dynamic control algorithms. For the test of system integrity and the verification of the mathematical modeling, we apply CTM, PD and VSS control algorithms and the simulation results are satisfactory.

  • In this paper, a Fiber Bragg Grating (FRG) sensor system is described and FBGs are well-suited for long term and extremely severe experiments, where traditional strain gauges fail. In the system, a reflect wave-length measurement method which employs a tunable light source to find out the center wave-length of FBG sensor is used. We apply the FBG system to nuclear energy Power Plant for structural integrity test to measure the displacement of the structure under designed pressure and to check the elasticity of the structure by measuring the residual strain. The system works very well and it is expected that it can be used for a real-time strain. temperature and vibration detector of smart structure.

  • 파일 무결성 검사는 시스템 자원의 안정성 여부를 판단할 수 있는 가장 확실한 방법이지만, 감사가 이루어질 때마다 매번 모든 데이터를 검사해야 하며, 관리자의 역량에 않은 부분을 의존하였다. 이는 최대한 빠른 대응을 요하는 침입 복구 시스템에 적합하지 않다. 또한 손상 자원의 복구에 필요한 자원의 상태 정보는 수집 가능하지만, 침입을 차단하기 위해서 침입 행위 주체에 대한 정보는 수집할 수 없다. 위의 두가지 문제를 해결하기 위해 파일 무결성 검사와 시스템 호출 감시 기법을 연동한다. 시스템 호출 강시를 통해서 자원에 대한 침입 행위 주체의 정보를 수집하고 파일 무결성 검사를 하여, 침입 차단 및 복구를 위한 감사 자료를 수집한다. 또한 보다 효과적으로 침입을 탐지하고 복구하기 위하여 여러 침입 탐지 시스템과 연동하여 침입 복구 시스템을 구성할 수 있도록 탐지 메시지를 IDMEF 형식으로 보고한다.

  • Was develop 256bit output stream cipher of improving for same key reuse prohibition and integrity. The developed stream cipher used Salsa20 round function was implemented to hardware of applying a 5-stage pipeline architecture, such as WSN and DMB for real-time processing can satisfy the speed and security requirements.

  • Any ERP system pushes a company toward full process integration and solves the fragmentation of information. However, the tight process integration can propagate and magnify mistakes made in one department into the other departments in real time. Thus, it can be posited that a central support system for the coordination can help ERP users and administrators dig out problems, take care of tedious validation and verification, and maintain process integration of ERP with great consistency. This paper ,proposes an agent-based ERP operations support system (EOSS) that aims at achieving and maintaining process integration of ERP at the highest level possible. With EOSS, the process integrity is monitored, with anomalies prevented as early as possible and repaired as precisely as possible.

  • This paper introduces a novel technique to detect and isolate the failures of multiple actuators connected to a system. Failure of actuator considered in this study could be any type of erroneous input that is different from commanded one. The interaction matrix technique allows the development of input-output equations that are only influenced by one target input. These input-output equations serve as an effective toot to monitor the integrity of each actuator regardless of the status of the other actuators. The method is capable of real-time actuator failure detection and isolation under any type of input excitation. The laboratory experiment using 8-bay NASA truss structure verifies the feasibility of the proposed method.

  • Emerging sensor-based structural health monitoring (SHM) technology can play an important role in inspecting and securing the safety of aging civil infrastructure, a worldwide problem. However, implementation of SHM in civil infrastructure faces a significant challenge due to the lack of suitable sensors and reliable methods for interpreting sensor data. This paper reviews recent efforts and advances made in addressing this challenge, with example sensor hardware and software developed in the author's research center. It is proposed to integrate real-time continuous monitoring using on structure sensors for global structural integrity evaluation with targeted NDE inspection for local damage assessment.
