  • IPTV Content delivery systems over wired networks confront scalability problems due to their high network bandwidth requirement for real-time services. Especially, VoD service provides Trick Mode features such as pause, fast forward and similar operations. However, Trick Mode services are delivered by the method of unicast only for controlling of the stream. With a point of views, this paper propose a new real-time multimedia streaming architecture over IP Networks, which tries to achieve bandwidth efficiency and supporting for mass clients better than traditional unicast services. The proposed methods divide the Transport Stream into a series of segments. After that, this divided partial Transport Stream makes multicast streaming periodically. Meanwhile Set-top Box of a client makes a rearrangement orderly by using Presentation Time Stamp field from the served Transport Stream packets. While the current Transport Stream segment is playing, it should be guaranteed that the next segment is downloaded on time. Consequently, the original video content can be played out continuously. The detail introduction of a new real-time multimedia streaming system with analysis and simulation follows as below.

  • In this paper, we introduce a technique for 360-degree panoramic video streaming with multiple virtual cameras in real-time. The proposed technique consists of generating 360-degree panoramic video data by ORB feature point detection, texture transformation, panoramic video data compression, and RTSP-based video streaming transmission. Especially, the generating process of 360-degree panoramic video data and texture transformation are accelerated by CUDA for complex processing such as camera calibration, stitching, blending, encoding. Our experiment evaluated the frames per second (fps) of the transmitted 360-degree panoramic video. Experimental results verified that our technique takes at least 30fps at 4K output resolution, which indicates that it can both generates and transmits 360-degree panoramic video data in real time.

  • Real-time streaming services over the Internet have increased with the explosive growth of the various mobile platforms, with a focus on smart phones, and the demand for them is growing. In addition, the bandwidth occupied by the streaming services over the Internet had already surpassed 50% in 2010. Because of the shortage of network bandwidth for multimedia services traffic, restrictions on quality and capacity will become more and more serious. CCN is a future Internet architecture that improves how existing host-based Internet architecture handles content-oriented structure, but it is designed for the transmission of general contents and is not suitable for transmitting real-time streaming contents. In this paper, we focus on the inefficient aspects of CCN and propose a hierarchical grade-based scheme for real-time service for a more efficient environment in real-time streaming services. Experiments have shown better performance in terms of bandwidth, network load, and reliability.

  • This paper presents a multimedia streaming platform for efficiently transmitting MPEG-4 content over IP networks. The platform includes an MPEG-4 compliant streaming server and client, supporting object-based representation of multimedia scenes, interactivity, and advanced encoding profiles defined by the ISO standard. For scalability purposes, we employ an application-layer multicast scheme for media transmission using overlay networks. The overlay network, governed by the central entity of the network distribution manager, is dynamically deployed according to a set of pre-defined criteria. The overlay network supports both broadcast delivery and video-on-demand content. The multimedia streaming platform is standards-compliant and utilizes widespread multimedia protocols such as MPEG-4, real-time transport protocol, real-time transport control protocol, and real-time streaming protocol. The design of the overlay network was architected with the goal of transparency to both the streaming server and the client. As a result, many commercial implementations that use industry-standard protocols can be plugged into the architecture relatively painlessly and can enjoy the benefits of the platform.

  • The majority of current streaming services are particular S/W I a separate setup program supports real-time streaming service a reality, will be stored until the end of the video, save for a video about editing and is not available. In this paper, allows the user to save and apply the multi threaded techniques for video based on a system without a separate plug-ins, or installation of programs HTML5 by taking advantage of Web content authoring, real-time streaming system using a Web browser. This saves the video streaming in real time can be used for editing and, on real-time communications and media sharing and streaming Web service you need and will be utilized in the field.

  • This paper deals with our experience for the design and implementation of Transport and Session managers in the Integrated Streaming Service Architecture (IS SA) that was developed by the authors. The ISSA is a streaming framework that allows to develop integrated multimedia streaming applications such as VOD system in unicast/multicast and real-time broadcastOive-cast). It also facilities standard real-time transport protocols such as RTp(Real-Time Transport Protocol)/RTCP(Real-time Control Protocol) and RTSP(Real-Time Streaming ProtocoD that allows to user openness. The ISSA supports diverse media fonnats and is independent from underlying networks and operating systems, and compatible with the global real-time multimedia database system (BeeHive) so that streaming media are efficiently retrieved, stored, and serviced. The role of the Transport Manager is to do packetization and depacketization for the different types of multimedia data and delivers the packetized media data in real-time. The Transport Manager uses RTP protocol. The role of the Session Manager is to establish and control the media channel by using RTSP protocol and to deliver the database transactions for the multimedia database by using RTTP(Real-Time Transaction Protocol) protocol. Both the Transport and Session Manager are doing their functions through the network interface in the ISSA that allows developers to various network programming interfaces and provides flexibility to the system.

  • Recently, real-time streaming services are gaining popularity among the MZ generation and the market size is continuously growing. Pre-recorded and edited videos only show one-way communication, but real-time streaming services have the advantage of responding immediately to questions and requests from users, as they enable two-way communication. With the transition from face-to-face culture to non-face-to-face culture due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of users communicating in real-time video for activities such as classes, meetings, and leisure has dramatically increased. However, as real-time streaming services become more active and diverse generations participate, there is a problem of conflicts arising from language differences, including the use of neologisms. To address this issue, this paper proposes a method of collecting the meaning of neologisms through the Wikipedia API and presenting them to each other, so that they can understand each other's intentions.

  • Streaming server is that an image produced in real time or a file form of image produced ahead consists of SNS service, and the relay module of streaming server includes output management module that set an output channel more than 2 and control transmission of video content. This thesis intends to suggest how to stream through plural output channel that contains output channel of external streaming server using relay module and do streaming provided to terminal receiving image, and streaming server, streaming system for this. Thus, by extending output channel sending out image to output channel of external streaming server, the scale of streaming server is not limited and the process allotting external streaming server into output channel sending the image becomes simple, so management of output channel becomes efficient even when sending several images.
