A Study for Technique of Detecting the Real-time Route Aberrance in the Passage Route Using Ship's Domain Theory

  • This paper is to study a technique to detect the real-time route aberrance on the passage route using bumper area of the ship domain theory. In order to evaluate the risk of route aberrance, a quarter line was created between the center line and the outer line, and a passage route with the image line outside the outer line was designed. It calculated the real-time route aberrance with the vessel bumper area to measure the risk level on the passage route. The route aberrance using overlap bumper area was simulated through three kinds of scenario vessel at the designed passage route. In this paper, we proposed Ratio to Aberrance Risk as one of the evaluation parameter to detect the route aberrance risk at each sector in the passage route and to give the evaluation criteria of 5 levels for seafarer's navigation safety. The purpose of this work is to provide the information of the route aberrance to seafarer automatically, to make it possible to prevent the human errors of seafarer on the high risk aberrance route. As the real-time risk of route aberrance on the passage route is automatically evaluated, it was well thought that seafarer can have only a little workload in order to know the risk of route aberrance at early-time. Following the further development of this work, the techniques for detecting the real-time route aberrance will be able to use the unmanned vessel.

A Study on Estimating Container Throughput in Korean Ports using Time Series Data

  • The port throughput situation has changed since the 2008 financial crisis in the US. Therefore, we studied the situation, accurately estimating port traffic of Korean port after the 2008 financial crisis. We ensured the proper port facilities in response to changes in port traffic. In the results of regression analysis, Korean GDP and the real effective exchange rate of Korean Won were found to increase the container throughput in Korean and Busan port, as well as trade volume with China. Also, the real effective exchange rate of Korean Won was found to increase the port transshipment cargo volume. Based on the ARIMA models, we forecasted port throughput and port transshipment cargo volume for the next six years (72 months), from 2015 to 2020. As a result, port throughput of Korean and Busan ports was forecasted by increasing annual the average from about 3.5% to 3.9%, and transshipment cargo volume was forecasted by increasing the annual average about 4.5%.

  • 근래에 원격지 감시와 제어하는 기술이 발달하고 있다. 또한 홈 네트워크 서비스의 보편화와 초고속 통시망의 폭넓은 확대로 인하여 디지털 비디오 기술을 이용한 감시체계가 점차 늘어나고 있다. 웹에서 제공하던 감시 체계를 사용자가 좀 더 편리하게 사용할 수 있도록 기존의 웹을 기반으로 하던 디지털 감시 체계에 개인 단말기를 이용하여 사용자가 이동 중에도 인터넷이 되는 곳에서 이 모듈을 제어할 수 있도록 구현하였다.

  • In this paper, a monitoring system is desigend for a GPS/INS integration system. The function of the monitoring system is to acquire real-time data from system and displayed them. 자율주행 로봇을 위한 Laser Range Finder

  • In this study an active vision system using a laser range finder is proposed for the navigation of a mobile robot in unknown environment. The laser range finder consists of a slitted laser beam generator, a scanning mechanism, CCD camera, and a signal processing unit. A laser beam from laser source is slitted by a set of cylindrical lenses and the slitted laser beam is emitted up and down and rotates around the robot by the scanning mechanism. The image of laser beam reflected on the surface of an object is engraved on the CCD array. A high speed image processing algorithm is proposed for the real-time navigation of the mobile robot. Through experiments it is proved that the accurate and real-time recognition of environment is able to be realized using the proposed laser range finder.

  • There is a limitation for a ship which is sailing on sea to gather weather and seastate informations. To make up for this weakness , land organizations can gather wider variety of information and evaluate the seakeeping performance on ship. and supply this information to the ship. In this study, calculated the response amplitude of ship motions with the weather information provided in real time, the norminal speed loss with obtaining increased of resistance caused by wave and stochastic process of the seakeeping performance elements. And the results have been achieved to develop a system whichcan evaluate the synthetic seakeeping performance. Using this system , the results have been studied to determine the feasibility of using this simulation inactual operation onboard ship.

  • As the increasing demand of the radio wave communication and teh progreessing of communication system, the radio interference of neighbor nations is rising in the improtant matter. This problem is a delicate matter which must be dealt diplomatically with by having a distinct technical basis. For our country, after the radio interference has been occurred in TRS service on the south seashore due to the base stations located at Fukuoka in Japan, the radio interference problem of neighbor nations has risen importantly. In this paper, therefore, we has measured the radio wave that reach from Fukuoka in Japan to Pusan in Korea and also collected dat by real-time.

원음장 재생을 위한 OSS 등화기의 모델링에 관한 컴퓨터시뮬레이션 (Computer Simulation on the Modelling of OSS Equalizer for the Reproduction of Original Sound Field)

  • This computer simulation is the basic research for realize a real-time hardware of the reproduction system in original sound field with two loudspeakers based on the OSS(Ortho Stereophonic System) method which was proposed by Hamada of Japan in 1983. Through the computer simulation, presumed the system function of OSS equalizer using HRTF(Head Related Transfer Function), constructed the model of OSS equalizer and , evaluated the modelling OSS equalizer by evaluation formula. The obtained results are summarized as follows : 1) By the modelling OSS equalize operate as inverse filter of HRTF, an input signal reproduced effectively. 2) Known that the real-time hardware of OSS equalizer can be made by the fast convolution between the impulse response of OSS equalizer and input speech signal. 3) Since the system function of OSS equalizer presumed from HRTF, the study on the measuring of HRTF have to proceed.

  • This study aims to develop the information service system of integrated seakeeping performance for seagoing vessels. It has been successful in developing the intended system which has made possible to provide the following functions and capabilities. o immediate computation of the dynamic motions of a ship against the present and future weather conditions; o evaluation of the integrated seakeeping performance of a ship on a real time basis and providing the navigators with the seakeeping informations on the spot enabling them to take the most appropriate countermeasures; and o supporting the navigators in the selection of a safe sailing route by providing the integrate seakeeping performance.
